Ethelene Williams Poem
My worry started very early in the day;
by noon my worry had festered
and was well on it's way.
I got down on my knees to pray;
please Lord, take this worry away.
By night, I realized my worry was here to stay.
I laid down to sleep, with worry still on my mind;
I tossed and turned all night long
and awoke to a worry of a different kind.
I prayed again and asked the Lord for help-
Father, I asked, why haven't you aided me
And your promises not kept?
"Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there"
is all He asked us to do.
I looked back and saw my worry
for all that it was -
something that did not happen,
as worry seldom does.

Ethelene Williams Poem
Friendship is a ship
that sails from heart to heart,
it lingers at every port
'until it's cargo is gone and ready to part.
It leaves behind a bundle of love
a crate of hugs and a box of kisses.
It sets sail when the call is given
and touch bases at ports it misses.
As its cargo-it does not carry,
tons of hate nor pecks of deceit,
or bushels of dishonesty.
But, it does carry bunches of discreet.
If you ever see this ship,
do not let it pass you in the dark,
because the friendship is a ship
that sails from heart to heart.

Ethelene Williams Poem
Hardship is a ship
that sails from peer to peer
it stop at every port;
unloads buckets full of misfortune and fear.
It dumps on tons pain
and pounds of suffering and strife.
It heaps on masses of agony
and enough anguish to last for life.
It unloads a gram of compassion,
just to build up your trust.
Then it piles on more grief and worry,
and scores of sorrow and lust.
The hardship is a ship
that travels far and near,
with its' bounteous cargo,
in stormy weather or clear.
