Thankful

You have to get caught in the storm
In order to appreciate the sun.
You have to swim across the ocean
To enjoy the dirt under your feet.
You have to go through the hunger Pain for the bread to be enough.
And then pray and thank God for these blessings...and mean it.
If you don't, then go out and face the ugly, until you do.

Visions

My mind, pried open wide by the
Open and honest truths that seem
To be seeping through the open
Pages of my account!

I've been touched by confessions
That have left deep impressions,
There's a POWERFUL strength in
A man who stands before the world
With his arms open wide and held to
The sky closed fisted and clenched
So tightly that you can see the blood
Being drawn and starting to run
Down his arm.
This is what I accept from God
As a gift of wisdom.
Accepted as such.
I've come to the realization that
Our ultimate destination as people
Isn't going to be found on a train
Headed anywhere!
Go ahead and ride it and as you
Go through tunnels and come out
Into the sunlight again,
Realize that is HOPE trying make
Its way into your heart and soul,
Our destination doesn't require a
Ticket..
