I Could Not Do It Before

I Could Not Do It Before
By Dr. Tina Medina

I could not do it before
I dare not shut the door
My heart yearned for something more
I loved you to the core
Even though I did not keep score
It was obvious who loved who more
Yet what for?
Yet what for?
It may be time to shut the door
The door to my heart is what we are talking about
It can’t be bought with finances, prestige, and clout
The key was always within me
You thought it was yours at any liberty
But you do not define me
I was once blind about you, but now I can see
Today I awoke and something was anew
I did not even have a clue
Yet I knew there was something I had to do
I had to shut the door
For a promise of so much more
There was a proposal to me on a silver platter
Shut the door, the time is latter
You, my daughter deserves so much more
Do not let him treat you bad as I promise to settle up the score
All because I want you to have more
Do not make the mistake
He is not a piece of cake
If you dare to move forward in motion to me
Do you think I will not answer your plea?
I have seen the way he has treated you
There is no excuse, you are not a person in lieu
One day, a revelation of you will ensue
Yet you may not want him to pursue
His love is not strong as glue
I simply thought you knew
The past is the past
Yet the negative emotional roller coaster still last
Why is he always moving so fast?
He is quick to throw you into an emotional cast
All at your expense to see how long will this last
It is to your advantage to let him go
You can’t stay with him emotionally low
You woke up today
Because I had something to say
The message was for you and there was no delay
Push him away because all he wants to do is play
Letting go of our problems of the past
only means you value yourself first, no longer last
I loved him more
Yet somebody upstairs was keeping tight score
The verdict is in
There is no more time for a conversational spin
Your smooth words no longer affect me
I just gained a prophetic victory
I was blind about your ways, but now I can see
My love was not for sale
But it has rare weight on the trust and loyalty scale
I am not looking for any male
My words can make you pale
The truth is that you made my heart ail
True emotions expressed will never fail
I just read your damn mail
Year after year, I could not shut the door
But in 2017, God says there is something more
Oh my God, there is something more if I dare shut the door
Why could I not do it before?
Why could I not shut the door?
What was I waiting for?
The time is now as my career is ready to soar
For many years I loved you, and it simply did not matter
Your lost in the game of lots of women, scoring, running, and scatter
What happens to you in the latter?
My love, my compassion and my integrity is in tact
I can no longer be lost in your comedy act
Oh, that’s a fact
I dare not to be a part of your tactical plan
The one in which you think I really need a man
The one in which I am a pawn in your game of chess
I am so sorry, I am out of this emotional mess
The plan in which you think I would do anything for you
The plan that allows you freedom to do what you do
The plan that hurt me and my integrity
Because it is just not part of me
As I long for truth and liberty
Have you ever loved someone that brought you so much inner pain?
It’s not you at all, it is all his inner heart strain!
You loved at a level that he caused you to be emotionally drained
Something is wrong with this picture, its out of frame
Or maybe he just lost at his own game
He took your love and used it like fuel
All to boost himself up to act really cool
Today, your plan was dismantled by heaven above
All because of some serious love
I am a Daughter of the King
I bear His signet ring
I do not need your imitation bling
I have to stop myself and sing
Being free from potential death is a beautiful thing
I was told if I shut this door, a new life awaits me
God finally has heard my plea
A deal is on the table
I can only pursue it if I am able
This is no fairy tale or fable
A new life, one that I have wanted for and dreamed about
It has nothing to do with money or clout
It is all about the writing and the poetry in motion
It’s all about the words and not the Southern gentlemen’s sly potion
You, my former love are obsessed with material things and objects of high value
Yet they are not the essence of you
The riches of our heart are not based on the type of cars we drive
What really matters is that you are spiritually alive
My God says there is something more
So I have to shut this door
I have to be strong now because there is more
I have to shut this door
I am sorry to let you go, but what if there is really something more?
All I have is a promise from the King
A new version of my life, a very precious thing
I would rather take it than staying in the dark and the spiritual strife
I really need more precious life
I do not like the omission of truth that you can cut like a knife
The door is shut now
I really do not know how
It happened so fast, there was no time to react
The most important thing is that I never lost track
It happened today
That is all I have to say
It happened today
You can go back and play

Have You Heard About the Preschool Rap

THE PRESCHOOL RAP

By Dr. Tina Medina
Copyright Protected

Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s all about Jesus and him filling in the gap.
Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s a fun and easy song that puts Jesus on the map.

Verse One
Kid two: What do you mean? Filling in the gap,
I don’t understand. Do I need a map?
Kid one: Let me break it down so you understand,
It’s like a broken house and now it can stand.

Did you ever get rushed trying not to be late?
You made a mistake and dropped your plate.

Jesus is the glue to fix it up right,
He will restore you with power and might!

Filling in the gap is like a weak flower,
Sprinkle it with water and it gets extra power!

Chorus
Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s all about Jesus and him filling in the gap.
Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s a fun and easy song that puts Jesus on the map.

Verse Two
Kid number one: Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
Kid number two: Leave me alone, I’m trying to take a nap!
Kid number one: Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
Kid number two: I don’t feel good, because I’m sad as a sap.

Kid number one: I am trying to help you by telling you the Word.
I didn’t make this up; it’s something great I’ve heard.
Jesus can help. He’ll release you from your trap.
Just reach out to Him and he’ll move in a snap!

You’ve seen the pictures everywhere you go,
He loves all us kids and the Bible tells us so!

He’s a cool dude who can put you on the map.
You can tell Him anything and He will fill in the gap!

Chorus
Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s all about Jesus and him filling in the gap.
Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s a fun and easy song that puts Jesus on the map.

Verse Three
Kid number two: Can Jesus help me…I really need to know?
Please tell the truth, I just can’t believe because everyone says so!
I need to know now, so please tell me how?
Can Jesus help me I really need to know?

Kid number one: (Shouting) Don’t stop the children from coming to me!
You’ve got the green light, just pray and you will see!

Kid number two: What?

Kid number one: (Shouting) Don’t stop the children from coming to me! That’s what I read and that’s what Jesus said!
Kid number two: When you learn how to read?

Kid number one: I can feel Him in my heart so I can do my part.
Jesus can help you heal and become real smart.
Please count on Jesus so He can set you free
Using your faith is part of the key.

Chorus
Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s all about Jesus and him filling in the gap.
Have you heard about the Preschool Rap?
It’s fun and easy song that will put Jesus on the map.

Trust, Trust, Trust

Trust, Trust, Trust
By Dr. Tina Medina
Whether it is Benghazi or Kansas City,
You will call and she won’t answer
The pattern and practice is established
You will call and she won’t answer
That is why I do not trust her
Trust, trust, trust
It is at the heart of all matters
If trust can’t be established, then what happens at home…everything may be in disarray and scattered
If in Benghazi, no compassion and love for fellow man was shown
What will happen here at home?
Please hear me, you will call, but she will not answer
She had her chance to save lives in Benghazi
She may fry you like BBQ in Kansas City
Now I know I am getting creatively drastic
But, we do have the BBQ sauce and the pits, that woman is not legit
For 13 hours, our brothers cried out for help and mercy
And no help came
Now who is playing game
Let me remind you, no one came
We are the ultimate super power, yet no one came
How the hell does that happen and when did we stop hearing the pleas of our people
Those cries were probably heard spiritually from all the world’s church steeples
A true leader will act and command for help at all cost
There was a time that no American lives would ever be lost
Come on now, 13 hours there were cries for help to our nation’s Secretary of State
Yet were the mics on mute because the pleas were drowning out their public relations debate
She and Obama had access to everything – Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines
Yet they did not do a damn thing!
Human life was the cost
And to be honest, those lives did not have to be lost
Please hear my plea
Those lives did not have to be lost
I rather call out to Jesus because He is the only first responder
Too bad, we can’t write Him in on the ticket
Because 13 hours of waiting is a sign of poor leadership…it is a deficit
No one came because it was not politically adequate for her
Yet can she wash the blood off her hands with frankincense and myrrh
All the spices and riches from the Middle East cannot make this issue of trust simply go away
We Americans are not stupid, nor will be fooled by statements of delay
When asked about Benghazi
What difference does it matter….that is what she had to say
You see in these aspects of true leadership when it involves life and death
What difference does it matter! The harshness of her tone is a bit scary
What difference does it matter!!!
Let me tell a secret that you make know now or perhaps have forgotten
And this will make the story even more rotten
We live in a Jack Bauer “24” hour live-feed, real time Big Brother is watching your tail life
Our state of technology is off the chain
Those people did not have to suffer and die in vain
Come on now, do you think really think that the American people can’t filter through the political strife
We are all not playing Pokemon and forgetting about real life
The truth of the matter is that you were very lame
I have the constitutional right to write what I feel has just been a bunch of smoke and mirrors…plain out game
Just to find out that for 13 hours, no help ever came
Please, please let’s stop playing hide and seek games
The truth is very, very clear
Some of us simply don’t trust you because you did not answer the call from Benghazi
The question, we as a nation should be asking is what is she going to do in my city?
Let’s break it on down to a personal level
At any time during the 13 hours, she could have responded
No actions show that there is a lack of compassion and she is disheartened
How can you let people die?
When you got the eye in the sky!
We could have called down hellfire and saved the day
But you all wanted to play!
My heart goes out to the families of those four men as their lives matter more today
Because they represented their nation and fulfilled their call without any delay
Perhaps in God’s plan to wake up this nation
Their sacrificed lives will allow us to see the true revelation
The job takes moxy, strength, heart, love of people, and pure dedication
A true God ordained leader that is called will do all of their best to save the life of a brother
Action, fight, defend, lead, grow, pray, make things happen, be creative and save is what this nation was built on... there simply is no other

Please Remember You Had Nothing To Say

Please Remember You Had Nothing To Say
                                                                    By Dr. Tina Medina
I have loved and loved
I have given and given
I have honored and honored
I have felt something deep in my heart
Yet you ignored me
Woman, wake up! You had nothing to say!

I have poured out my heart and you did not respond to me
What a pity
You did not see the integrity of the love that was within me
I never hurt you
I never degraded you
I never disrespected you
I never pushed you away
YET, YOU gave ME no say!
Woman, wake up! You had nothing to say!

I have loved and loved
I have given and given
I have prayed and prayed

Woman, wake up! You had nothing to say!
You never listened to me
You never even asked my opinion
on such a serious decision
Dear woman, wake up! You had nothing to say!
I once asked you for a lifetime to take a journey with me
I asked you to trust me because I was sincere
Yet I pulled back my offer quickly and decided to switch gear
I made this decision with all my precision
I did not care if it caused your heart a collision

I asked you several times…. are you for real
My love is not a game and it cannot be dismissed at will
Your answer was yes
Yet you walked away and left my heart a confused mess

My heart yearned for justice in the courts of fair play
Why did you do this and decided I had nothing to say
My love does not understand the mistiming and delay
How could you do this to me without any say

You see, I am the judge and jury
I make the game plans
I state my demands
I state what is right and what is wrong
I make the decision with all my precision
my logistics, my thoughts
it’s all for me to relay……
Please remember dear…. you had nothing to say
Sorry! The decision has been made, you had nothing to say
If you cry and are sad by the decision I made
Please remember you had nothing to say
You had nothing to say
Your opinion did not count
Even though you have a Ph.D.
I counted you out

Oh, for some reason
Maybe it was not the season

If you were sad
one day you will be glad
You see, the blatant disregard should have made you mad
then I realized your love for me was not a fad
Yet… you still dearly loved me
and nominated me so my home town could know and see the successful side of me
You walked past your pain and decided to still honor me
Even though I caused you a heartache and travesty
God saw your good intention
He knew your motives were true
He granted you desire and everyone knew

One day you may have something to say
One day I may wake up and see differently…it will be okay
I will actually let you…. have something to say

Now the question is, will you be around when my truth is really found
When I know who I truly am and I know who you truly are
Will you be afar

Will you truly forgive me for my harsh action and neglect
Will you look past the words of gross error and reject
Will you still love me deep down inside
even though I hurt you deeply and your response was totally denied

For many months, you were so devoted to me
was I so blind I could not spiritually see
I held your heart in my hand
In your eyes, I was the only beautiful mahogany man

Yes
It’s true
I loved only you

I am so sorry… I gave you nothing to say
Be it may
It caused a delay
It caused a decay
A decay of something special and good
A decay of something solid made out of rock and not cheap plywood
A decay of a great love
You loved me for what I was really made of
You loved me for me and all my complexity
and sometimes that it is not easy
I do give orders
I state my demands
I treated you like a soldier because I am in command

Thank God, I have woken up and I have something to say
Baby, you took something dear away
Now, be it may
I simply have to say
I am so sorry, you took something special and real away

You took away my ability to decide
where I wanted to abide
You never listened to me
You never heard my plea
You never heard me talk
You decided it was time to end what you started and began to walk

How fair was your decision with all your precision
You see I am a Libra and I strive for what is balanced and fair
especially when I loved you so much and truly cared
I did not understand because you never shared your decision and game plan
I never knew the true reason until this recent season
You disregarded me and left me out completely
on such an important issue that involved you and me
you made it carefree
by not talking to me

I am not mad
I am not glad
I just think it is somewhat a loss and truly sad
My heart held onto something that was gone a long, long time ago
Perhaps it could not accept the truth it was really time to let go

Oh, for a reason
There is always a season
A time to let go
A time to truly know
A wise woman could never be in a place where she had nothing to say
A Godly woman’s love could never be taken for granted and thrown away
A beautiful woman’s support can’t be replaced and put on delay
A strong woman could never be silenced and told go away
A mature woman would say this is not the time to play
A smart woman would read the Word and obey
A faithful woman would never stray
A good woman would build a man up and always seek God to pray
A confident woman will move forward and not concentrate on yesterday
A prudent woman would thank God for the lesson learned and walk away
I just remembered it is time for me to relay goodbye for now because I have nothing to say

It Is Okay To Cry

It is Okay to Cry
By Dr. Tina Medina
It is okay to cry
It is okay to cry and open up your heart
You simply need to trust now that you and God will never part
It is okay to cry and tell God your pain
By letting truly go, you have everything to gain
It is okay to cry and not worry about what people will say
This is about your inner healing and there will be no more delay
It is okay to cry and let your feelings show
You have everything to gain with the Holy Spirit’s glow
It is okay to cry and release your pain and shame
I promise I will never call you any names
It is okay to cry and reach out in need
Jesus will never leave you and He will always take the lead
It is okay to cry it makes your spirit clean
It washes away any hurt and takes away the ugly scene
It is okay to cry and leave your pain in the past
God has you now in the palm of His hand and His love will always last
It is okay to cry and tell me your story
The Trinity Team promises to restore you with all their power and glory
It is okay to cry
