Lost Gift

LOST GIFT You gave me the gift of writing I never knew I had. I wrote so many lines about the good times and the bad. But ever since you let me go and I finally gave up trying. The gift you gave to me is now gone fore I’m no longer writing. Writing was my way of expressing how I felt. I used to love to write to you the words that made you melt. I miss those days of sharing my heart so true. I don’t think there will ever come a day when I won’t wish to write of you. By Arthur James

Memories

MEMORIES When will the new ones arrive? When will the old ones be replaced? It’s been so long now, how much longer will I have to wait? As each dawn arrives I hope today will be the day. But then the sun sets and another day has slipped away. I try as hard as I can but it’s a hopeless campaign. I keep trying to replace my memories of you but all my efforts are in vain. Lost Love

LOST LOVE Only thinking of what they lost. Their mind plays the scenes over and over. Constantly searching for the key of redemption but only coming up with three leaf clovers. They ache for what is no more. They cry for what they cannot have. Wandering aimlessly about, always searching for their lost half. Silently they hide behind a mask, never revealing the hurt they conceal. Smiling for the camera’s flash, never sharing how they truly feel. Praying and hoping against all odds. Searching aimlessly on every sandy shore. Never wanting to admit the truth, that the love they once had will be no more. By Arthur James
