Freedom and Religion

Brainwashed to think you’re free
By men who think they know
They lead you on and you follow
While all you are is a devotee
They think of you as a sheep in a flock
While you follow on and hand your head
You help them and their lies you spread
While you’re no more than breeding stock
They feed you myths and stupid lies
And you believe whatever they say
You’d believe them every day
Even if they preach that a pig flies
If you ever have any doubts
About something that they proclaim
They’d say you lost your faith and aim
And that the devil through you shouts
The only freedom you possess
Is not in the life you so far led
It is all there in your head
It’s what they ask you to repress
You were given a mind to use
Not so that you’d follow blind
But so that the truth you find
And you escape their evil ruse
A human’s truth is his alone
For no two men are just the same
They may share common blood and name
But their mind is their sacred zone
When you surrender your reason
To these men of greed and lust
You’ve condemned your mind to rust
Against yourself, that’s high treason
So wake up man and get your life back
You only have one, don’t give it away
There is no price you have to pay
To these swindlers in white or black

The Rose and the Tree

Under the great tree of devotion
Grew a rose of infatuation
Thinking of itself as the most fair
Because it’s scent filled the air
One night, the rose proudly stated
“I am fairer than all god created
I am attractive to the sight
And my scent is very light
Hearts beat when they see me
Unlike you, great big tree
You are rooted on the spot
And you never change a lot
You stay there and never roam
While they pick me up and take me home”
The tree just laughed and laughed
“Little rose, you are daft
You may grow quickly but you die as fast
A million of you I did outlast
We both started as little seeds
We’ve fought draughts and braved through weeds
A thousand of you were picked
Before I was even noticed
As I grew tall, I remained true
I never changed, unlike you
In a short time, you wither and die
While I remain, just standing by
In you, people find a passing pleasure
You are but a little adventure
With me, people live and grow
But it has to start up slow
It will be full with little tribulations
But they’re all part of the foundations
As we live and grow together
Progressing and happy forever
Millions of roses live and perish
Leaving souls with but a blemish
I am the tree of love
Reaching for the heavens above
You are the flower of attraction
Nothing more than a distraction”

Hymn To Nature

Glorious nature, surrounding all
From the valley to the waterfall
In you, everything starts
And in the end, to you, departs
The tree, the worm and the bird
All make sense, yet are absurd
Who would conceive a bird to fly?
Who would imagine a fox so sly?
Look at the sun in all its splendor
And the moon, filled with wonder
See the beauty of the shining stars
Who have witnessed all our wars
Under the branches of the great oak tree
Lies a world, more complex than thee
Within the folds of the flowing rivers
Are born the stories of wondrous creatures
Along the lines of the soft breeze
Fly and work countless bees
When you perceive a flower up close
Your senses awaken through your nose
For its fragrance is heaven on earth
As wonderful as a baby’s birth
In your ears plays a marvelous song
Calling you to play along
To forget your worries and all your pain
Just leave it all and go insane
Get intoxicated by the color of peace
Embrace it all, fall to your knees
Fall in love with the adventure
Pay your debt in a hymn to nature

Weight a Minute

We arrived at a desolate stage
Where a number other than age
Defines who we are and what we mean
And ruins our mood, previously serene
Whether it is too high or too low
Mentioning it deals a heavy blow
Because people’s mindless talk and chatter
Renders us slaves to this silly matter
Regardless how much we love ourselves
Another’s rudeness, in us, delves
Plunging us in a state of depression
Which brings us back to the matter in question
Who cares how much, on the scales, you weight?
Do they even know how much, this, you hate?
Some people gain it out of nothing
While others crave it above everything
But it’s as if it’s the greatest sin
And people start just butting in
Blurting rude comments under the guise of care
While all they want is to compare
They know that this is what brings you down
And they’ll parade it all around
But they know not – or maybe they do
How much their words are hurting you
But the truth is and has always been
Regardless of the body you’re in
What truly matters is your wonderful soul
And who says otherwise is just an a**hole!

Rainy Morning

Waking up to the sound of thunder
With a sense of miracle and wonder
I heard rain drops kissing the ground
And there was no one for me around
I sat there in bed immersed in thought
Remembering all the battles that I fought
I wondered if they were worth the pain
Or if they’ll be just washed by the rain
As I thought it over more and more
And the rain continued to pour
I remembered the chances that I caught
And the lessons that life had taught
Am I really alive?
Am I just struggling to survive?
Am I on the right track?
Should I, to sleep, go back?
I ask myself and ponder long
And in my head starts a gentle song
It reminds me of you
The one who loves me true
Your thought heats up my veins
And helps me break my heavy chains
I think of you and forget the storm
I’m feeling more cozy and warm
Your presence in my life is great
You’re the one I’ll always await
When you come, the sun will rise
And the storm will meet its demise
Alas I’m in bed all alone
Waiting to sense your sweet cologne
Falling back to sleep my wish comes true
And in my dream, I am with you

When the Winds Change

All of life is but a ship at sea
Sailing along, very free
Its only friend is the breeze
Caressing its sails with ease
When the winds blow north
The ship moves forth
Venturing along into new shores
Like when life opens doors
When the breezes blow south
None dares open his mouth
For dangers and perils are near
Threatening that which is dear
When the winds blow to the east
All movement is then ceased
The ship stops and even moves back
Just as when life turns pitch black
When the breeze blows west
It is time for a little rest
To recharge on a new shore’s banks
And to give the gods many thanks
Then again, when the winds are good
The shipmaster checks his ship’s wood
Out of the sea, the anchor rises
And life brings on new surprises

I Am

I am the truths and the lies
I am a devil, angel in disguise
I am the above and so the below
I am stability and rushing flow
I can create and destroy
I can uncover any ploy
I can possess all the might
And everything from wrong to right
None can mess with my rage
For they’ll be in my thorny cage
None dares attack my throne
For from heaven they’ll be thrown
Only he who has a heart
And a freedom in the art
Can try and approach my form
Or be washed by a storm
I am in everything you see
From the cloudy sky to the stormy sea
I am even what you can’t behold
Very hot or extremely cold
I am the god almighty
Even the lustful Aphrodite
I am moving into life
Showing up in peace and strife
I am a girl and a guy
I can swim and I can fly
Everything exists in the me
From the sky to even thee
I feel the world and it fills me
And I can hear your every plea
I mirror your every move
And from you I can remove
The breath of life and all the pain
And I can make your work so vain
But you see I am not mean
Even if I can do what I say
Alas you’re stuck in between
My humble way and the highway
You have free will to make your choice
You can be deaf or hear my voice
You can trust my love for you
And help me show you what is true
You can also fight the current
Though it is a powerful torrent
You can disregard my advice
And trust yourself to roll the dice

A Truth In Love

Some people in love fall
Others drop out of it
Some people try to fix it
Others don’t bother at all
To some it’s full of action
To others it’s satisfaction
To some it’s imposed fate
To others it’s a soul mate
Will people ever realize
That this is not love at all
And that it’s only the demise
Of what pure they came to call?
People are thoroughly deceived
From the moment they’re conceived
To believe that love is possession
When it’s leaving an impression
On the soul of the beloved mate
To whom we plant some bait
To catch and forever imprison
In a cage completely golden
Though golden it may be
A cage it will always be
Why do we scare love to flee
When we can really set it free?
For in freedom it can grow
And to life it will flow
To empower and strengthen
And to bloom as small children
Who will grow under its wings
And enjoy what it brings
Let us work for their sake
And spare them our mistake
Give them all the love we should
And fix the love misunderstood

Here Are the Angels

How many times do we wonder
What lies above or under?
What happens when we respectfully treat
The creatures sent for us to meet?
We rarely look beyond the veil
So that we pierce the hidden tale
In order to see the truth behind
And to clear our foggy mind
We’ve all heard tales of angels
Saving people from their perils
Showing up with a divine word
And then flying off as a bird
What are these beings of light?
Where do they start their long flight?
Into our lives to help and to guide
And to be by our side
Where do guardian angels come from?
What do they later become?
After we die and our souls depart
Do they become of us part?
The truth is they already are
They are never near or far
They are inside us now and then
And that’s a great truth…Amen
The people who are sent our way
The ones we meet every day
Are angels in a clever disguise
To see if we are truly wise
When we recognize them well
Much wisdom they do tell
And they show us our path
Away from anger and from wrath
These angels show us the light
They are the answer to our plight
We should appreciate their arrival
For they are our awaited survival

First Kiss

When two energies collide
Knotting together a great divide
A new energy is born and grown
And their souls are together sewn
An inch of skin is all it takes
To fix and mend any breaks
Much is shared but a lot is created
In that second, long awaited
The angels’ divine essence
Produces heaven’s incense
The nectar of the gods
Turns around all the odds
In that second of purest bliss
You’d be insane if you’d miss
The chemistry born of love’s fire
Burning and raging in desire
A wish to merge closer and closer
A longing to go completely under
To become forever as one
Blazing stronger than the sun
And then in another second it all ends
Leaving a longing that extends
From the one to the other
Leaving a feeling of strength and power
The suspense it leaves grows stronger
The love it brings becomes deeper
A longing to unite as one soul
In body, mind and spirit as a whole
