Purveyor of Ecstasy

Miles in a coaster, a day and hours elapsed,
Felt the utmost relief when the whirling wheels halted;
So weary and dizzy, even a smile seemed so hideous
But an in peace slumber I desperately craved for;

Eyes wide-opened at the chirping of euphonious birds,
Stirred myself with hankering for the glimpse of exquisite village,
But still a dawn blanketed in frosty mist, sight diminished,
I’d only steal the blurry scene of Tang valley;

An hour after, when the glorious sun showed its perky visage,
Outside I stood relishing the splendor of the hamlet
And savoring the icy breeze wafting underneath my nose
With succulent aroma from the Mother Nature;

Amidst undulating hills and mountains down lay a quiet place,
So called Tang enclosed by rich vegetation and iridescent river
That embellishes the heavenly place superfluously picturesque,
Enticing all man into the blissful homeland of Tang Valley;

Houses clustered and down beneath the farmyard,
Divine school stands with its pride upheld
And hallowed veneration anyone would esteem,
It is so-called Tang Central School elevated of late;

Established in 1965, primary to middle since last year,
Now shines the school proud and gratified of its new recognition
As the central school bestowed with prerogatives and autonomy,
And concurringly, rejoicing its Golden Jubilee in eons;

Postures upright like inert figurines in a park,
Crescendo of unripe singsong voices spring at eight and thirty,
Crooning the sincere words of praise and homage to Tsa-Wa-Sum
That infuses the all hearts with never like joie de vivre;

A trickle of erudite whizzes and astute greenhorns
Gathered deep delved into a bond of kinship with no antipathy,
But an unremitting fondness amongst solicitous brethren-
A purveyor of ecstasy as its depiction I call for the beautiful home.

When I'M Gone

Smile at me with those beautiful lips,
Talk to me I insist when I am close,
But be careful of words you speak
That may stretch us apart and ruin
The splendor we see in being us;
Like me and ne’er let me weep,
And every day I plead make my day
And I swear I’ll make yours;
Let no fury or disgust swab our smiles,
But with harmony let’s our bond be adorned
For ephemeral our life is which,
I beseech, we shall spend through delight;
‘Cause when I’m gone and no more you see me,
Unheard your words shall only fade away,
Unfelt your warmth shall just cool away
And chained-up your rueful soul shall remain.
So hide not but bare your heart out,
Show that truly you care for me,
That you respect and adore me
In the person I am, and talk me
Into believing every word you say,
‘Cause when I’m gone and you’d miss me,
Beyond your reach I’d have gone and
Unheard your words shall only fade away,
Unfelt your warmth shall just cool away,
And chained-up your rueful soul shall remain.

So LOVE me when you can!!!

My First Love

Wrinkled, but beautiful still Even in decrepit apparel and uncombed; Jagged skin and sensual fragrance lost But still spongy her touch is and the smell Only thing I’d miss the most in the universe. Toiled through hardship and still indebted, Altruistic she- uncared and unattended her own needs, But protected her offspring despite dearth From cold and famine, the fatal scourge, And well-groomed into esteemed mortals. In spite piercing pang and pain within Beautiful soul, still smile on the parched lips, For bold but tender my darling is, So kind at heart and divinely soft in speech, She is, perhaps the surrogate of Goddess. Aged and hoary now appears my hero, But conversant, cultured and well-versed, The fount of worldly wisdom she is Who speaks of art of living and greatness- The lessons from myriad mistakes of her past. Dearest and my favorite, still the one I so adore, And now Silver Jubilee of our intimacy, Fonder my heart becomes of her, my love, Indubitably the most desired and undeniable, Only is she the joy and ecstasy of my life. Best friend she is to me since infancy With whom I played and quarreled often, And my sweetheart, indeed my first love, With whom I had my first kiss and shared a quilt- My beloved mother- the creator of this poet. I love you, mom.

Vale of Tears

Souls in fear of uncertain but rampant chaos,
Where the cities bombed and thousands slayed,
Houses broken and the valuable coffers emptied,
Innocents trafficked and the felony at rise,
Commoners conned and the power misused-
The Almighty! Where is the peace you promised?
For love debasing and wars right at the door,
Infected minds with greed and hatred at dispersal,
Altruism waning and egoism the victorious devil,
Compassion at stake and bliss only a wistful wish,
But antipathy even amongst the esteemed bloods,
Soulless and callous, havens blemished with vices
And enmity on the rise as the blazing fire-
God! Where is the peace prayed for everyday?

Yangdey

Believe me I speak of no falsehood,
But of sincerity my heart aches for you;
Yangdey! The enchanting divine soul,
Let no tear fall and fear of denial rule,
Cause in you I find comfort to my gloom;
Appeasing just to look at and to be with,
No sorrow my heart knows but the delight
Even in precarious unsolicited plight;
So pious and angelic, Yangdey you’re!
Merely a word or a second span of discourse,
Enormous glee you surge me with;
Gracious you! Adorable and alluring,
Do you spare a second for muggins here?
Brooding upon the endearments delivered
And pleased at the word of untainted soul;
Beautiful Yangdey, the reason I so smile!
Hear the amorous soul that yearns for you
And feel the warmth my heart radiates for you-
‘Cause you’re, the most beautiful thing ever
That makes my heart flutter!

The Almighty King

The Almighty King

God in disguise, a pure soul of divinity,
No wonder the bona fide progeny of God you’re,
The great one highly esteemed for visionary you’re,
So genial and benign, no man as you exists so munificent;
The Grace, all hearts’ desire and the beacon,
Pray hundred more years you live on for the sake of
A million souls’ peace and wellbeing you care for.

So appeasing just your sight is, the balm to despair,
Joyous eyes’ grandeur and love of all hearts,
At all times hallowed thou shall remain and recalled,
Even the threat‘d sway no man against thee
‘Cause almighty you’re, the optimal clout beholder.

In you, our hope and assurance we perceive,
Ideal we see in you to emulate, your greatness,
Flame to our shadowed lives and succor in plight,
You ne’er let the famine creep in and starve us,
No evil you let it destroy our harmony
And no bloodshed you let our lives be taken,
But wishes fulfilled and smiles brought upon,
Bestowal of happiness upon us your deeds betoken.

The great, for your myriad services toward us,
Diffident would be our lips and soul discontented
To express utterance of gratitude with existing jargons,
For beyond measure is your divine humanity,
But deep within truly indebted are your partisans
And reverently,all kneel before you, the almighty King,
Greatest of the greats, the reason we so smile.

Hope On

Like the seasonal snowflakes,
Pain is fairly short-lived and there is joy to relish soon
Like the summer rain,
Opportunities in profusion- grasp them accordingly;
Like the mighty Mt. Everest,
Remain impervious no matter how intense the storm is;
You’re the victor since you were in mother’s womb,
Who won the race to human world;
You’re the invincible warrior since childhood,
Bold and undefeated, the one who resisted
All woes and foes of life and still battling;
You’re the joy-giver whose mere existence
Brings jovial smiles upon many faces-
Don’t let your decision wipe the smile off their faces;
You’re the guardian of your life, protect it;
You’re the adornment of your life, embellish it;
You’re the soul of your life, love it no matter how tough it becomes
For there is certainly light at the end of the tunnel!

My Lady

Eons of intimacy, still the one I dote on; My lady, embodiment of mother beauty, My ecstasy and salve to my sorrow, Thou shall always be embraced and recalled Until my soul gets rid of my mortal body, Till the end my life exhales the final breath And the last beat of my aching heart; Beautiful as you, no woman I’m smitten by, But you, my all-time darling, so calm as the ocean, You ne’er let my joy dissipate but with tender words, Always enamored you had me of you. But now you say me tired of years’ long bond Out of blue, throwing me deep down in the dumps- The sting you ne’er put on my jolly heart; Berserk to be, shattered the innocent heart is, Discerning that once amorous soul has now changed And ditching away the hapless wretch to despair; My lady, adornment of my life and my solace, What about the dreams we dreamt together? The dreams of our matrimonial lives and blissful home, Divine offspring to be born and the eternal togetherness, The reverie of rejoicing our anniversary till the end And watching the time run with our hands entwined; What about the promises swore to each other? The promise of incessant love for one another And to never leave each other’s back no matter what… Desire still unsullied, my precious covetable angel, Never will you be forsaken, but the mounting wish to have you And to love always my heart only aches for you; But like never before, palpitating my heart with fear Of being forsaken, denied and loathed, for I sense Rise of repugnance in you and the hatred maybe; Still then breathing on with the hopes to be fulfilled one day And waiting for the time when we will be together Where we will live our dreams and promises remembered; My lady, joy of my life and the reason I breath still, Ask me not of severance for I can’t love you lesser But you’re the one I love to bits and my soul Would only rip apart the day you leave me. With love, Karma

Someday

Unsafe but no fear, numb is the lonely heart, Grief-stricken, engulfed with dejection, Pain merely a slender touch, But senseless buds and frozen skin, And the soul lifeless ‘though breathing, Awaiting salvation certainly one day!
