The Seasons From My Meadow

Green as emerald lays the soft soft grass; Dotted slightly with red, blue and yellow. Lay down I shall, while watching the world In my golden sunfilled meadow. Wind whistles softly through the air, Scarlet petals dance on the breeze; The leaves russel, while the branches crack, And sweet chirping fills the trees. The leaves russel begins to grow quiet, As their time ends, and they lapse to the ground. The entire world does shed herself Of the plunder in sunshine found. Nature goes all into slumber, The shadows creep in ever quicker. Glowing pumpkins hold the streets close by; The veil of the spirits, no longer thicker. As she sleeps, she receives a blanket Of frost, and cushions of snow. Trees now holding snoozing critters, As they become prisoners of colds hold. Firesides begin blazing brightly. Darkness takes hold quicker still. Decorated pines in living rooms erected, So with joy, the misery of cold we can kill. Finally she begins to awaken: Songs again start to fill the air; The sun gains his longer watch once more, As flora and fauna again reappear. Life again abound and bountiful. As we celebrate under the moon. The flowers scent fills the air once more, And my meadow is now back in bloom.

September From My Window

A blaze of orange sunlight
As it sinks below the ground,
Shines through silver fleecing.
Shadows soon to be abound.

Lights spring up on houses.
No children play in the street.
Tucked up in bed they'll soon be;
The Sandman ready to meet.

The songs of the winged ones fading.
Darker, it seems are the trees;
Holding nestled the winged ones,
From danger they're kept free.

Between this and golden sunset,
Lay the mountains, strong and lank.
Through it flows a river,
Contained by its muddy banks.

Darker and darker the sky gets,
As the night lanturn begins to crawl.
All as I see from my window,
In this beautiful month, in Fall.

The Rabbit Hole

I ponder on the universe
And all the things therein;
I wonder of the Universe
And of what lies within.

I sit and think a stretch
Of what I aught to do.
When all my thoughts I've fetched,
I go and jump right through.

Am I flying? No, I'm falling,
Down this Rabbit Hole.
And the pictures that I'm seeing,
Are from inside my soul.

It was then I realized,
This place I needed to find;
For when I jumped into this Rabbit Hole,
I jumped into my mind.

Cometh Dreams

Here among pillows and blankets,
I lay waiting for dreams,
To be taken away by the night
To a place that's seldom seen.

Will I dance and play,
And sing songs in the night?
Or shall the darkness take me,
And show me all that frights?

Who knows for sure; 'cause I don't.
I just have to brave the plane;
Of astral life and demons dark
And pray there is no pain.

Thee and Me In the Emerald Sea

Two days turn to a thousand thousand
The lonliness makes me literally shiver,
The hours, they number the grains of sand
On the bank of the weeks long river.

That lonliness is cold, so cold;
It freezes me to my core.
But once it's done - this weeks load-
I shall be warm once more.

And whilst warm I swim in that river
And dance along the shore,
Under moonlight shinging silver;
Burning fires in my core.

So soothing is the winds sweet whisper
As leaves play their tune in the trees;
And I lay floating in that river,
Towards the Emerald Sea.

I drift to a lonesome island
And sit with the Red-Rose Tree.
In peace we wait 'til that boat comes,
And makes me again wait for thee.
