2 Wrongs - Dont Make a Right

Jan 2015
2 wrongs
don’t make a right

Tit for tat
Chit for chat
Like for like
Spite for spite

Yes and no
Friend and Foe
Black and white
Sugar and shite

Forward not back
Defend not attack
Forgive not forget
Learn not regret

A Vulnerable Existence

April 2012
A Vulnerable Existence

The world revolves round and round,
its direction, one way, future bound.
No matter where, what, when or how,
it followed that path, from the past until now.

Each person a footprint on the world as it revolves,
living for survival as the future unfolds.
Like a life line through our existence to an unknown place,
the momentum of time accelerating, as if life is a race.

If the human race didn’t exist, the future would still occur.
Survival is driven from the question “what do we exist for?”
Who knows the answer? No one can be sure.
Religion offers faith, strength and a moral guide that is pure.

However, we all have different theories and beliefs,
but this is often the source of conflict, suffering and grief.
Our world is more resilient than the human race,
no matter how much we destroy or scar Mother Nature’s face.

Maybe in time when our race fully evolves,
we will know why our world continues to revolve.
Unless as some theories suggest,
we destroy our world so we no longer exist.

At 91

Lost your tongue,
as you fumble to recall the right words to use.
I think of all the words that once flowed so freely,
and where there were no words to fit,
you simply made them up. Daft, silly, and fun.

Vast vocabulary resonating at every opportunity.
The scrabble board could even learn from you!

At times jibes rasped from your tongue
as sharp as a razor
On the flip side and more reflective of you,
Jolliness.
Words danced from your mouth
like Ginger Rogers or Rita Hayworth, swift and effortless.

Your songbird melody
as you sang songs of old
or chimed sweet childhood rhymes.

Now,
a blank page staring back awaiting its full stop.

Super Mum

Woman
Super powers
Rushing, fussing, fixing
Listens. Somehow always caring.

Emotional Blackmail

Oct 2014

Emotional blackmail
Rejection unveiled
Manipulative plan
To get what they can
Absorbed in their needs
Their own ego’s to feed

Pink Lips

For COLOUR Contest by Tammy Reams

PINK lips
KISSABLE pillows of comforting texture with RED devil allure
WHISPERING words of love from your SILVERY tongue
The AROMA of romance paints the room with PURPLE hues
SWEET caresses so passionate, turns my heart GOLDEN
The WARMNESS of your embrace intensifies the bright ORANGE fire burning in my soul

PINK lips
Your PINK KISSABLE lips
My blood RED heart beats
WHISPERING to my hips
Your SILVERY tongue meets
With mine as teeth nip

Your AROMA drives me
Into a PURPLE haze
So SWEET I’m on my knees
GOLDEN stars I gaze
WARMNESS I do see
Your heart an ORANGE blaze
PASSION

A Mothers Wings

A Mother is gone
An Angel is born
As the wind blows
Intuitively you'll know
Her spirit will glide
Right by your side
Her voice so gentle
Pure and sentimental
Comfort she'll bring
Wrapped in her wings

Autum Stroll

Crisp crunch
Musical feet
Wind whistles, musty beat
Swirling and rustling of the leaves
Golden

Rustic
Falling to ground
More notes to make the sound
Feet sample tunes as we stroll
Trees mime

Summer Tunes - Visual 4

The melody of summer grips
The soothing sounds vibrate the soul
Its rhythm tingles to the tips
The melody of summer grips
Bringing a smile to once sad lips
It frees the mind and makes you whole
The melody of summer grips
The soothing sounds vibrate the soul
