Afraid of the Dark

Afraid of the dark,I am you see,
For when I was little someone raped me.
Those fears and terrors still fill my heart,
afraid my mind is being torn apart.
I cannot see when all is dark black,
who is this with me,caught in the sack?
Please leave me be,do me no more harm,
it's been years and still there are tears.
All of my nights I run and I hide.
Deep in my mind a safe place to be,
no one can touch me,no one you see.
Not even life's worst misery.
I must keep running,it must not end,
must keep going, don't let it blend.
Eye's of tears, heart and mind full of fears,
It's been painful to many years.
My innocence stolen,
my joy taken away,
Please help me Lord,
Please help me I pray!
I am safe with my loved ones,
under the moon, because of God's son.
Still unaware of peace in my bed,
I feel afraid,the night I dread.
Hands tremble,body curled up,
mind is racing super speed,
I want to be loved,I feel the need!
Please don't hurt me like those nasty men did,
I hated them,God willing,he they will rid!
No place to turn,no place to run,
hiding and fighting,i'm only one.
Such wretched memories still haunt me each day,
please go away,
never to stay in a sane mind,
I need to relax, need to unwind.
Nobody knows the horror I've lived,
don't understand?
Tell me what gives?
I feel alone in my own world small,
like curling up into a small ball.
Somebody help me,
I can't do it alone.
I'm tired of running from all my fears,
tired of pain,tired of tears.
Tired of dying inside, through out the years.
Help me to live in a new way,
to live for tomorrow, and also today.
Help bring peace back into my mind,
Please help me ,please be kind.
But who do I turn to,who do I trust?
 I've been hurt by many!
Is there anyone,not one,not any?
I'm alone in my world of fear,
don't get to close, you may shed a tear.
Get to know me and all of my pain,
no wonder i'm mental,a little insane.
To much to lose, and much more to gain.
In a world full of pain and sorrow,
I can only hope and pray for tomorrow.
My dreams are real,it happened again, and once more,
please make it stop,,
I can't handle no more!
Dreams remind me every day,
somewhere,somehow,
theres got to be a way,
for peace of mind and a better day.
Please,please,I beg and I pray.

Dedicated to all those who have ever been a victim like me,
Have faith,God will make a way!

Good Morning Old Man

As the morning sneaks up,
we will all arise.
And what shall we see,
at first light by day?
Look around and all will be known,
the birds are chirping,
and the sun is shown.
Wake up sleepy head,
open those tired eyes.
A new day has come to greet you,
and teach you something new.
See the clouds that are passing by,
and trees that are waving to say hi.
The grass and the dew,are together as one,
until the morning light of the sun.
Squirrels come out to play hide and seek,
as deer wander to drink from the creek.
The mountains are mystified,
and all that's around.
Creatures of the night,
will not be found.
Feathered friends and fish to swim,
bugs fly by,and songs to be sung.
It's time for spring to be sprung.
All is trying to be green,
and all is calm in the wakening.
An old man sit's on his creaky old porch,
a cigar he smokes, the sun may scorch.
A hat he wears on his pale old head,
a cane by his side,it's the color red.
In coveralls he does wear,
a handkerchief in pocket,
and coffee in hand.
He breathes the air so clean and fresh,
as he let's out a yawn,and then a stretch.
A red bone hound joins his side,
this his friend and his pride.
The sun is warm upon his brow,
he get's up to feed the cow,
the chickens and goats you see.
It's time to work and then to rest.
now the day is falling,
and the moon slowly rises.
Sounds of crickets chirping away,
owls hoot and coyotes prey.
Shadows falling upon the land,
trees covering soil,animals and land.
Water trickling on the rooftop,
we need you rain please don't stop.
See you soon tomorrow my friend,
this is goodnight, and not the end.
Tomorrow will bring a new day in store,
and the day after, and many more.
Sweet dreams sleepy head,
go and rest you old man.
I'll see you and greet you again,
to say once more, good morning old man.

Your Not Gone,But Soon You Will Be

If Idon't get to say good bye for one and final time,
then know i've alway's loved you more than anyone could.
And though you are ill and the diseases you have are painful and kill, know God will comfort
you and you'll rest in his arms.
You are my mother who I dearly love, you are my friend and alway's have been.
We've had our cries,we've had our laughs,
we've shared pain, and were both a little insane.
How can I say exactly say how i feel,
when so far away i cannot show you.
I wish i could give you all you deserve,
the moon the stars, and all you dreams,
take away all the pain, the nightmares, and screams.
This reality is all to real,
I want to wake up,call an apeal.
god is who we must call upon,
in times of right,in times of wwrong,in times of joy,and times of pain.
He is the one who can save us all!
Your soul he will rest, now i'm depressed.
Just in case i dont't get to say goodbye.
I wish i could hold you and hug you again soon.
But when i give you this letter it'll be to late,
you will probably be gone.
Cancer,serosis,diabetes,and more,
I sometimes curse life and it's whores,.
You my mother, please know i love you,
i love youi because you've alway's loved me,
in all i have been andand always a friend.
An ear to listen,an eye to see,a hug and a home ,
A mother in all.
times were rough in our growing up,
we didn't have much ,and sometimes very por,
you gave up alot, even the men that raped us.
We our family,barely alive,barely escaped.
Nobody knows of the horror we've endured or seen,
what we've lived,how cruel,how mean.
But we were strong,we made it through it all,
we have survived one and for all.
now your time is coming to rest,
So follow God,He offers his best,
A kingdom full of no pain or hate,
but of much love and joy.
something you so rarely had,
you will soon have.
So take it and be glad,
rejoice and be glad,
You will be in Heaven!
I love you mom!

An Old Tree

An old tree stands alone, waiting for no one,
but the bright warm sun.
His branches reach far and wide,
as if to hug you and touch the sky.
He stands tall and firm each day,
to shade all from the brightest sun ray.
Greeting all who come to see him,
for he is your friend and will do you no harm.
Give him respect when you come by,
for you never know when he'll say good bye.
For many years he has been alone,
he made this land his only home.
do no harm to this tree so old,
winter is coming ,his leaves grow cold.
He can be frail in ice and in snow,
treat him right and he will know.
A cracking branch,it may snap,
watch out for it may trap.
He's lived a long life and has loved all,
old tree will we see you next fall?
If we do not we will not forget,
what a friend you have been,
frombegining to end.
A friend who's been faithful,
a friend who's been true.
for there is no other tree,
who looks like you do.
Trere is only one,and only one you will be,
for each tree is different,
like no other you see.
so I thank you for the times we had,
for your gentleness and rugged way's,
for all the climbs and all the day's.
For growing up with me through the years,
to say good bye,
brings sad tears.
So to you my friend,
I will let you know you will not be forgotten.
You my dear friend will live on you see,
through your children,
yours, and mine to be.
I will watch your children with mine grow.
This is not the end,but a new start,
I carry your friendship,
alway's to heart.

Night Creatures

the night is dark and 'oh so quiet,
not a soul around to be seen.
Trees stand still,
moon hides behind clouds.
Crickets chirp,
and all are asleep.
'Oh mystical night what do you have in store?
Something nice, or frightening?
Perhaps something more.
In these bushes and on the land,
creatures lurking,hear that sound!
What can it be that we do not see?
A thought in our minds,or maybe a reality?
Who's to say what is,is not,
and who's to say what is ,is?
A sound of wind blows by my ear,
and all the nights secrets come to be known.
A sad and lonely soul is out there,
and so are the lost and desperate who care.
There are those to who will come in harms way,
pray for their soul, pray I say.
For who are we to run and hide,
When God gave us his son,for us he died!
We need hold no fear or anger inside,
but love and trust and hope, have pride.
But do not be careless or to prideful you see,
share what you have in generosity.
You have all that you ever will need,
so give it away to those who plead.
Be loving and honest and kind and true,
God in heaven shall reward you.
So creatures lurking in the dark night,
come show yourselves and what you are.
Let no creature or soul be harmed,
but let us all gather,do not be alarmed.
for the creatures of the night are all at war,
doing their duties, and all their deeds,
to make life more beautiful for all that care.
A creature is a name for the un - known,
that are not seen and never alone.
Give up your fear to God above,
and he shall give all his protection, all his love.
Good night to those who are quite leary,
and all those who feel dreary.
I say to you to all my friends,
this is only the beginning,it never will end.
Enjoy all you see,
and embrace it most dear,
for lifes little journeys are alway's so near.
