Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
Coconut kernel is
good to eat;
healthy, too.
But a coconut
falling on
one's head isn't
healthy!

Smart Replies
Why did the desperate fish
jump out of the pond quick?
Because the finned fellow
was getting hydrophobic,
And what is the difference
between a plate and a dish?
A dish has such great legs
and other things we wish
Why do some big big bulls
charge with such great glee?
They do not really believe in:
“Buy one and get one free!”

Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
The Guard is
Guarding
Some people
Or
Some place
Or
Something
Valuable.
Who is
Guarding his
Back from
Traitors?

Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
The candle is a
teacher.
It portrays
light and
warmth;
soft light and
gentle warmth like
good friendship.
But then
how will the
candle be
operational
without the
wick.
The wick is its
heart.

Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
The finish line for the
rat-race speeds ever ahead of
its leaders;
brilliantly ruthless people;
brilliant and myopic.
One by one they will
drop out of the race;
drop down.
Today’s leaders will not be
in the race tomorrow.
The wolves snapping at their
heels would have
taken over.
And, behind,
receding rapidly, to the
horizon, will be their
grand mausoleums.

Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
There was a big bad girl whose name was Sue.
Her flat flat feet were very ugly and big, too.
When she walked the ground nearly shook
And folks all around would stop and look
There was a big bad girl whose name was Sue.
Whose meanness every day grew and grew.
When she talked thunder seemed to bang;
And many eardrums burst when she sang.
She really loved to scare kids for her fun.
Seeing her they would begin to turn and run.
And big bad Sue had friends very very few.
The numbers dwindled as in sunlight dew.
And the day came when she had just one friend.
Who would promise to be with her till the end.
Evenings they would stroll down the street
Looking out for kids and folks to bully and beat.
There was a big bad girl whose name was Sue.
Whose meanness every day grew and grew.
One day she met Tim, a nice and handsome boy.
She fell for him as does a child for a favorite toy.
He took her on a long, a very long poetic ride.
And on the lovely way she lost her meanness & pride.
Her closed eyes opened to what she really was.
It made her think and she really did pause.
The big bad girl became a big and really good one.
Folks, on seeing her, would not anymore run.
They would walk up to her and beam and smile.
And she would bow down to them in real style.
The big bad girl became a big and good one.
And she and Tony had a lot of good clean fun.
A lot of good and clean fun they really had.
Never for a moment were they ever down or sad.
Lived happily did they to a very ripe old age.
Much love was written on their lives’ every page.
There was a big bad girl whose name was Sue.
Whose change is an example for me and you.

Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
She was stuck in her world;
stuck in failures.
They crowded around her like
hungry sharks
eager to tear her apart.
And she turned up every
stepping stone in her life to
reveal the worms
that ate her soul.

The Conversation
He: Hey, luv! Come on quickly here!
She: Hear what, my dear?
He: Dumbo, what I mean is here!
She: And I too meant hear!
He: Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!
She: Dam which river, my sweet bit?
He: This is really turning to !
She: Yes! is an anagram of this-every bit!
He: You are driving me really mad!
She: All I can drive is a car, my lad!
He: My God! Why did I ever meet you?
She: It was to become a person new!
He: But I have become newly crazy!
She: No! You have always been hazy!
He: You need to get your eyes checked!
She: And your brains seem so wrecked!
He: I am going to really hang myself!
She: I will get the rope from the shelf!

Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
They are not really much to look at
if you are looking for standard beauty.
But they can easily elude a wily cat.
Their call leaves much to be desired.
The ears get grated rather roughly.
Not a golden voice to be so admired.
Most folks think them to be a pain.
They are chased away as soon as seen.
Probably hated for their sharp brain.
But then few folks are aware of the fact;
the fact that is really quite evident.
The chaps keep earth clean by their act.
Do this by clearing dead creatures.
They consume them all with no ill effect.
This is one of their notable features.
Imagine the stink if this was not done.
Our world would turn topsy-turvy.
It would become a hell for everyone.

Rajagopal Kaimal Poem
The other day I went to the edge;
To the edge of my big big world.
Peeked out over a mental hedge.
I saw another world and so new;
A world so wonderfully different;
A world just right for me and you.
There were extremists here, too;
Extremists of such a different kind;
All busy distributing the joy-brew.
