Special Angel

I know you had to leave us, for it was your time to go.
'Cause God had something planned for you, but only he would know.

He took you up to Heaven, where the angels dance and sing.
He took away all your pain, and gave you your own wings.

Then he placed a golden halo, there upon your head.
Admired your grace and smiled, and this is what he said.

"You're a very special angel, with love so pure and heart so true.
And I know a little soul, who could use an angel like you.

I had to take you from your loved ones, for this child who's in need.
For no one is more perfect, for this very special deed.

I know you'll plant a seed of hope, in that little tiny heart.
Make sure it grows with love and faith, that's the most important part.

I know you'll make an impact, like with everyone you knew.
Touching the hearts of those you meet, is just something that you do.

Just like a Phoenix from its ashes, you will always live on.
Your in the hearts of your loved ones, so you're never really gone.

But now it's time to stay in Heaven, and share my life with me.
And here we'll live in Paradise, for all eternity.

Missing You

Everyday I miss you,
All the time I cry.
Everyday I pray to God,
And sometimes ask him "Why?"

I think about you always,
The memories that we shared.
I know that God has plans for you,
But all this don't seem fair.

He took from us our loved one,
Someone precious to our hearts.
I know you're still here spiritually,
But it's still so very hard.

No longer can I see you,
Nor can I hear you laugh.
Or see your beautiful smile,
Now all that's in the past.

I wish I still could hug you,
We could sing & play & dance.
I should have said "I love you",
Everyday when I had the chance.

I still sit and talk to you,
You never really left.
But now only silence answers,
As my heart sinks in my chest.

Sometimes it's overwhelming,
This pain I always bear.
But I wouldn't have this sorrow,
If the love was never there!

Secrets of Your Heartbeat

When I listen to your heart beat,
There's a soothing in my soul.
It tells my heart a love story,
I thought I'd never know.

How magical it is,
The things you make me feel.
Almost like a fairy tale,
Too good to be real.

It seems as if I'm dreaming,
And I never want to wake.
A lifetime full of memories,
With you I want to make.

I want to be in your arms,
Every single night.
Lay with you & feel your love,
As you hold me tight.

My head on your chest,
Your sweet kisses on my face.
My heart reassures me,
This is the perfect place!

Depression Is a Bully

As I sit here with my thoughts, my daydreams turn to nightmares.

It's like a poison that slowly creeps in, grabs hold and takes over.

It turns my hopes into worries, logic into stress & memories into heartbreak.

It tells me that all the good days are now in the past.

That each & every day from now on, will be a battle that I fight alone.

It tells me that I'm no good, and that no one really cares.

It tells me what a useless, waste of a person I am.

It tells me that it's my ONLY friend, and that everyone else hates me.

It tells me the world would be better without me.

It tells me that all I do is make things worse.

It tells me i might as well give up on everything.

It tells me that it's moved in, and plans to stay.

Then it tells me it's name is Depression.

Depression? I've heard of you. You're a liar and a thief!

You steal people's happiness and destroy so many lives.

People have literally died because of you!

You're not my friend, you're not anyone's friend! All you do is cause pain!

I might not know how to defeat you, but I'll never stop fighting!

Some days, you might win the battle, but you'll NEVER conquer my world!

I refuse to let you take me!

And in that moment, I realized, I WAS TAKING MY POWER BACK!
