You and Me

by Mel Eyas Dicdican

In the days of my sorrow
I am wandering like a sparrow.
Happy days have passed
But my love for you will ever last.

Thinking of you for a moment
Could at least minimize my torment.
Neither my love can reach you
Nor my hands can touch you.

Even if you are gone
But I cannot forget everything you've done.
I love you with all my heart
And nobody could tear it apart.

If only I could turn back time
I would make sure to make it sublime.
But I am only human to change the world
And my strength cannot afford.

All I know now is to cherish the past
And wait until my days last.
If in this world we are not meant to be
Hope in the next would be you and me.

Harmony

by Mel Eyas Dicdican

Man is made to be in harmony
Even with people that are full of envy,
And much more with people of sincerity and humility.

In the world of mortality,
Everyone equips with different ability,
But in any way, each is given by the Almighty.

Above other creatures is the man of might
With which for sure he uses for a fight;
And to fight back is the option that is not right.

Those who died in a battle in any way,
Their souls need us to pray
That they could rest in peace and harmony.

Hate, grudge, deceit, and pride should be thrown away
That everyone would be in harmony,
Even though we have different ideology.

Harmony! Harmony! Harmony!
This is the virtuous calling for everybody.
And to be at peace is the only way.

In the Midst of Trials

by Mel Eyas Dicdican

Many times along the way
I found myself going astray.
Not just once or twice
But as often as bird flies.

I am not certain how long I could go
For each day so many things that are hard to do.
Doubts and fears seem to be the barricade of my ideals
But these are not the reason for me to hide from trials.

Fight and never give up
This wise principle of old gives me strength to stand up.
Hardship and trials I would face
That the necessity of life I could suffice.

Life without challenges has no meaning
For life is sweet after all the crying.
I should be strong to overcome the obstacle
So that I could reach my long awaited goal.

Listening to elder's advice
Could somehow make me wise.
And when trials would come again
I would say to myself I'm not living in vain.

Love Prevails

by Mel Eyas Dicdican

All I need is really you
But I do not know what to do.
Day by day I always pray
That I could come across your way.

Pain is what I have now
But I believe this would teach me somehow.
Adoring heart should be possessed
For God would make it blessed.

Love is all that matter
And many things heart can remember.
If this is really a gift from God
I will feel again the pain that I've had.

Take the risk and endure the pain
This is what my heart tells me over again.
Now, my heart is ready
And the door opens its way.

To love again may not be easy
After all the hurts and pain along the way.
Yet, love is ultimately irresistible
That may always prevail and win over trouble.

Iana

by Mel Eyas Dicdican

I do not know what word to express
when I see the smile on your face.
It seems to me that I could reach the star
and you are there sitting afar.
It makes me feel blessed
when someone like you holding my wrist.
I cherished the moment that we shared
and even your single word can be heard.

A gift of joy is given to me
and I thank you for coming into my way.
A precious gold could be found somewhere
   but you are beyond compare.
All by myself I will keep this
till the moment that I'll find rest.
A person that really touched my heart then
   could never be forgotten.

Never did I expect that you were there
until my heart heard your whisper.
Nobody knows how precious you are to me
not even my peers but only heaven and me.
Never-ending gratitude to the One
though everything is not yet done.
Now that you read this
hope we would be at peace.

Amid the noise of this passing world
I know you could hear whatever might be told.
And your heart would listen
   despite the misunderstanding back then.
After all, I hope and I pray
   that everything would be okay.
All the rest of my life I will take care of you
because I know I love you.

A Lady In the Magazine:My Fantasy

If only I could get you out of the magazine
I would do it as quickly as it could be
But I am not in the fairyland to do the magic
And much more, I have no power to do it.

The only thing I can do as of the moment
Is to bring you into my world of imagination;
Taking nothing but the precious time
That only you and me would share.

Love begets love, many people believe in this old line.
But how can it be realized?
You and me living separate lives;
I am here, and you are in the magazine.

But I don't lose my hope
That someday you would come into my world,
And that fantasy would become a reality,
A lady in the magazine - the real you.
