You Say I Am Your Angel

You say Im your Angel here to watch over you,
While your at a low, your health isn't what it should be,
But your the one that shines bright out of the darkness,
Your the one I look up to and aspire to be like you see,
Your strength is astounding and too much for words to say,
You bring a smile to my face and tears In my eyes,
I wish I could be there more but the distance gets in the way,
To be able to hold you near and tell you it will all be fine,
To wipe away your tears and tell you that you will make it through,
To hold you up when your too weak and stay by your side,
You say Im your Angel here to watch over you,
But your light shines so brightly even when to you it feels dim,
It breaks my heart to feel your pain I wish i could shut it all away,
But no matter how much it breaks my heart I am always here,
You won over a place in my soul and till the end of my days you will stay,
When your feeling the pain we go to a special place in our heads,
Where the stars shine brightly over the sandy desert,
Where there is no sound and we are still and calm instead,
You say Im your Angel here to watch over you,
But Why am I the one who feels so blessed,
Your friendship to me is like an unbreakable bond,
Im standing right beside you in this life's test,
You do not have to be strong around me I can take the weight of you,
I can carry your burdens while you grow strong again,
There is only one thing I ask of you to do,
Promise to come back to me before u lay down to sleep,
And I will pray for you my angel.

Little Tommy

Tears flow free from Tommy's eyes while he does cry
As he see's the bombs fall from out of the sky
One blink off an eye and it all could be gone
Screaming for his mother wondering what he has done wrong
All he wants to do is go play with his toys
But doesn't understand what's with all the noise
Starring around looking for a familiar face he knows
Wondering why people have red on their faces and clothes
Tears flow free from tommy's eyes while he does cry
As he see's the bombs fall from out of the sky
One blink off an eye and it all goes dark......

On the News

I feel so frustrated, tangled up in a web
I turn on the news, I feel before it has all been said
Some young father has been killed protecting his home
I didn't even notice a change in the news readers tone
Because she's had practice reading over this line
But the name and faces have just changed this time
Some young lad got shot crossing the street
I'm sure they said he was just off to buy some sweets
Flicking through the paper reading between the lines
Do they hold any remorse for taking these lives
Some young lad stabbed his best friend at school
To my own terror this just adds to the fuel
I want to be able to let my kids out to play
Without the fear they will all be lead a stray
I don't want you to turn on the news and see
Me clutching a lonely teddy, screaming why has this happened to me.

Red Rose

A red rose
With each individual petal
Which is so beautiful
But no so rare
To me it represents
Many different things
The heart that was stole
And the love that it wins
A single red rose
On a grave far away
Reminds me of all those people
That could not stay
In a garden i see a rose
Growing tall and strong
It's a present to the one you love
With a red rose you can't go wrong

Hatred

Your hairs too long, your eyes are too small
That colour does not suit you and your far too tall
Your skins the wrong colour and you can't be gay
Why should I listen to a single word you say
I'm full of anger, so full of all this hate
There must be some other reasons why I cant be your mate
I'll blame it on society because theres so many others like me
I ain't going to let you be yourself and let you just be
Anyone that's different from me must have something wrong
Don't matter what they say they just don't belong
You believe in the wrong god that cant be right
I want you to just dispear and get out of my sight
Whats wrong with this world is all of the above
All of this hatred and all this distrust
You shouldn't judge anyone on the way they appear
Why should so many have to live in constant fear

In Time

In time you will move on I used to think this must of once
Come from the lyrics of some cheesy song
In real life it surely has no real meaning
My heart will just forever keep on bleeding
But I've learnt there is something in what they say
You do learn to cope in your own special way
The rhythmic beat of my heart didn't slow to a stop
But memories of you still fresh and not forgot
The glint in your eyes and sly way you used to smile
The way you would sit quietly and think for awhile
How you would cuddle me with your arms wrapped tight
When you would laugh it was a beautiful sight
In time I will move on this statement is true
But I promise I will never, never forget about you.

Times You Need Me Too

Never judge me by what I say or do
Or the phone call that is way over due
Let me act silly and sometimes out of control
And sit bawling on your shoulder with all my heart and soul
Late birthday cards or ones that never show up
But when they do they mean so much
Then there's times you need me too
Im there like a shot to help you through
Hold your hand and stroke your hair
Tell you together we can make it anywhere
Like ice pops we melt away each others fears
Reminding us why our friendship we hold so dear
