Kenny Bowman Poem
You can either be the parade or you can become the rain
When life cripples you from the pain you can become the cane
You can explore the depths of the sea or wallow in a puddle
You can display your emotions in neon lights or make them ever so subtle
You can travel to another world abundant with life and love
Or you can walk the Earth while the others look from above
There is no such thing as a wrong choice, whether the out come is success or
strife
Because everything that happens makes up the puzzle of your life

Kenny Bowman Poem
For days on end
I begin to compose my thought patterns and emotions
Radiating from my soul
Making its way through my pen
And onto a blank sheet of paper
Filtering the necessities from the irrelevant
Allowing a mere glimpse of the gyrations percolating through my spiritual cavity
But why just a glimpse?
Maybe this glimpse is all that is accessible
And this semi-hollow void is all there is
But to what extent is this a colorless disturbance?
To the inmates of commonality
All that is visible to them are gray walls
And that's when desolation sets in
But I've gazed beyond the pale ambience
And seen the world that lays beyond
And its attractiveness dominates over the gray walls a million fold

Kenny Bowman Poem
The boy who resides over the sheep seems to have dozed off in the midst of the
changing times
Everything around him is traveling at a light year speed
And jet-lag has taken its toll on the one napping under the haystack
So I guess its up to someone else to blow the horn
But who?
It looks like everyone else was along for the ride with Little Boy Blue
Now the cows and sheep are out of place
Heading for the cliff at a fast pace
So lets all wake up before we lose all of our LIVESTOCK
And before our LIFE STOCK starts to decline
Find an alarm clock and set it for yesterday
And take some of the pressure off of Little Boy Blue

Kenny Bowman Poem
You can keep your brushes and pastels, my friend
Just give me the word and tell me when to begin
And I'll paint the prettiest picture the world has ever heard
With amazing depth of field and colorful words
But if you're color deaf no need to feel alone
You'll be dazzled by my selection of rhythm and tone
Abstract and romantic, the techniques are plenty
Forever changing portrait until the passion runs empty
Behold the gift of art and the pleasure of expression
Colleges or graduate schools could never teach the lesson
The gift lies within in the very depths of the human soul
And the world is the inspiration for the masterpiece that you hold
An artist by any other name is still an artist through and through
No matter the words or colors, free verse or light blue
Everyone is connected by the same purpose given at birth
To create a work of art on this blemished canvas we call Earth

Kenny Bowman Poem
Sound advice from the soothsayers and fortune tellers of the East
Telling me not to fall victim to the times
There are many who talk in rhyme
But be advised... those who do so are not always poets and singers
They speak cursed words studded with emeralds and gold from the tomb of King
Tut
And they wear crocodile smiles all the while preying on the weak and lame
They may dress in nice linen laced with velvet and silk
But behold, the truth does not lie in the fabric or stitching of the cloth
But in the eyes and soul of he beast in which I speak
And in the surroundings, environment, and territory where they reside
Look around and get a good glimpse of what's happening to the land and its
inhabitants
But if you're unable to see and comprehend
Then that means you've already fallen victim to their plot
Or... You're one of them...
