False Prophets
Sound advice from the soothsayers and fortune tellers of the East
Telling me not to fall victim to the times
There are many who talk in rhyme
But be advised... those who do so are not always poets and singers
They speak cursed words studded with emeralds and gold from the tomb of King
Tut
And they wear crocodile smiles all the while preying on the weak and lame
They may dress in nice linen laced with velvet and silk
But behold, the truth does not lie in the fabric or stitching of the cloth
But in the eyes and soul of he beast in which I speak
And in the surroundings, environment, and territory where they reside
Look around and get a good glimpse of what's happening to the land and its
inhabitants
But if you're unable to see and comprehend
Then that means you've already fallen victim to their plot
Or... You're one of them...
