Musical Epiphany

The sound rushing into my ears,
Flowing into my every vein,
Feel every cell vibrating,
In unison.
That feeling of ecstasy,
The rush, catches my breath,
Musical melody.
As I close my eyes,
And let it wash over me,
It cleanses, purifies,
All the anger, hurt
That lay buried deep inside.
The tunes reverberate,
Through my very soul.
It's hard to imagine,
So much joy,
From a few notes on a page.
But it makes me dance,
To tunes that only..
I hear.

Rain

The vast cloudless sky,
A portrait in blue,
Not even a single bird cry,
Silence so true.

Peace enveloped the surrounding,
Calm and quiet all around,
Beautiful and enchanting,
Absence of a single sound.

All of a sudden,
Thunder echoed in the sky,
The sky became sullen,
The air no longer dry.

Lightning struck,
The blue sky flashed,
Clouds were running amok,
Sound produced as thunder crashed.

Then it began,
The wonderous rain,
Drop by drop,and then again,
Erasing filth and all the pain.

Cleansing the land,
Washing away the tears,
Drowning the pain close at hand,
And eliminating all the fears.

The Magic, Rekindled

Wild eyed, bright eyed innocence,
Brimming with hope.
Days blurring by in happiness,
Unmarked, unblemished.
Oh, the words, the thoughts
So infallible they seem,
A certainty, an inevitability,
That stays so,
But only till the days,
They supposedly know better
Unveiled cynicism, jaded minds
Which begin everything
With an if, a but, a why.
Faith and belief no longer remain,
In people, in words, in themselves.
People keep wondering
Why life seemed so much happier
When they were young.
But they don't realize,
That they can make it so again.
With a simple wave of the magic wand,
They once held, in chubby little fingers.

Star Signs

Adamant yet
Quixotic always
Unnerved by
Allusions made
Reassured with
Insights found
Under these
Sapphire eyes.

A Ray of Hope

A speckle of green,
In a vast sea of concrete,
Quite an enchanting scene,
To the eyes a visual treat.

Through a crack in the pavement,
Slowly rises a tiny weed,
Free from all enslavement,
One in a million of its breed.

When I saw it,
My eyes filled with wonder,
Rising tiny bit by bit,
Through the cracked concrete yonder.

Insignificant to many,
Astonishing to me,
That it had arisen from such a narrow cranny,
Struggling to be free.

Symbolising a ray of hope,
In the midst of today's world,
Fighting for survival and trying to cope,
Was a plant which had unfurled.

Ball-Ing Rhapsody

Bounce.Bounce.And again.
Dribble.Pass.Jump.
And that satisying swish.
Clawing through the court,
Escaping clasping hands,
Run, faster than the wind.
And then, you jump.
See the sun grinning at you,
Until you descend down to earth.
Sky is the limit.
But this game elucidates,
That it really isn't.
There's more to the world than that.
Something that only this game,
Could teach me.

Summer Enchantment

Now it begins, the sweltering heat,
And the candle wax melts, very discreet
Forming a work of art in progress,
That can be moulded to impress.

Summer to me, it represents,
An unending circle of ascent and descent,
A chance for a new beginning
Start over and rejuvenate the thinning.

The thinning life, the thinning soul,
Held only by a strand in control.
But then comes a time for magic,
When you decide to be sad or euphoric
Where you choose the person you want to be
And leave who you were and flee.
You decide to cut and mould,
Leave away from life all that is cold,
Warmth, peace and serenity,
Is what summer means to me.

Untitled

the fear of
being forever unknown
fading into
the shadows
even in the light
blessed but not in bliss
things known
yet still unknown
things felt
but still untouched
things wanted
so badly
that want is never enough
will it ever be enough
will it ever be enough

Ravaged

The terror in their fear stained eyes
The gleam of blood in every sight

The remnants of the ghosts of joy
That ceased to exist when the clock struck nine

Everything blown up, in proportion
The whole world flashes past eyes

And leaves behind in its wake
A trail of dust fine but sure

The very hope that lines the heart
In the blink of an eye turns to dust.

The Perfect World

The precarious balance of the earth on its axis,
Spinning ever so gently,
Cradling its precious cargo,
It echoes with the sounds of beating hearts,
The flow of water, food through green.
The days whirr past lives ever so quickly,
Only the days of sadness, death left behind,
Sorrow in the depth of innocent eyes,
Terror infused in every beating heart,
The delicate balance,
Balanced till when?
Only till the day we find Utopia.
