Rain

The vast cloudless sky, A portrait in blue, Not even a single bird cry, Silence so true. Peace enveloped the surrounding, Calm and quiet all around, Beautiful and enchanting, Absence of a single sound. All of a sudden, Thunder echoed in the sky, The sky became sullen, The air no longer dry. Lightning struck, The blue sky flashed, Clouds were running amok, Sound produced as thunder crashed. Then it began, The wonderous rain, Drop by drop, and then again, Erasing filth and all the pain. Cleansing the land, Washing away the tears, Drowning the pain close at hand, And eliminating all the fears.
