Periodic Table of Elements

Periodic table of elements

Periodic table of elements,
the true heart of chemistry,
Law of periodicity clements,
Mendeleev is not a history !

Bonding between two hearts,
ignoring all the negatives,
When breaks and rips apart,
defying the electro positives,

Atoms randomly disperse,
Directionless, blinded and betrayed,
Valencies in their course traverse,
Swaying in the numbers brigade !

Memories of Good Old Days

Memories of good old days

When memories give you tears,
you sit, there is nowhere to go,
and you have the worst of fears,
Can you ever retain your glow ?

Those nostalgic evening walks,
drives in the dark that made crazy,
stuck in mind like stubborn plaques,
Can those pictures ever go hazy ?

Engraved in marble you can't erase,
Successive thoughts bound to depress,
Echoing in ears stays every phrase,
Alive are memories you must confess,

Emotions flow with good old memories,
as souls dance serene in mind galleries!

Let the Music Play On

Let the music play on

My heart beats
and passion springs,
As my fingers vibrate
the subtle violin strings,

Soft notes float
in the air to enchant,
Cheeks bear a red glow
as palpitations enhance,

Anticipating a meet
with sweetheart there on,
Rhythmic waves I create,
Let the music play on !!

My Chandigarh

My Chandigarh

City beautiful as it is rightly named,
Greener pastures, treetops embrace;
Wider roads, traffic perfectly tamed,
Clean as could be, an absolute grace.

Rich in culture, hospitable and kind,
Draped in passion, the tender hearts;
We, the people, have got lucid minds,
Versatile sunrises give us daily starts.

Merry go rounds mesmerise our kids,
College cafes, pubs fascinate the young;
Beautiful garden where the elderly sits,
Our roots are deep, branches well clung;

History and heritage inspirit true goals
as twilight hymns imbrue into our souls.

Tiranga

saffron to renounce
dharma spins in peaceful white

The Indian flag- Tiranga- meaning Tricolour has three horizontal bars of colours saffron, white and green embossed in the middle with a Navy blue Ashok Chakra (wheel)
Saffron or orange denotes valour and selflessness, renunciation and absolution of ego.
White is for honesty, purity and peace. Symbolic of light to guide our conduct on path of truth.
Green is for faith, fertility and prosperity. It represents life and happiness by virtue of Earth and soil on which all life is dependant.
In centre is blue coloured wheel with 24 spokes represents truth and dharma, wheel denotes motion that keeps us moving forward and represents dynamism of peaceful change.

Arrives the Spring

Arrives the spring
Anacreontic verse 3

Allure of raindrops
as drizzle knocks,
April arrives ...
Ecstatic Spring
ushers joy,
Buds bloom
petals unfold,
Vibrant colours
eyes behold,
Mustard in yellow
wheat gives gold,

Fragrant breeze
to lovers' delight,
Heavenly azure
and soaring flight,
Reigning blue
echoes into sea,

Festivals lure
delicacies to relish,
Step into May
with blushing
Red roses,
Luscious Mangoes
enticing delish,
Basking days
evenings coldish,
Verve satiates
soul's every wish!

Queen of Hills Lgt

Alluring elegance of Simla, the queen of hills,
Morning pleasant breeze, at night gives chills !

Snow clad mountains, silvery charming shine,
Tall Deodar trees , dense forest , also few Pine,

Aromatic flowers garnish nature's platter, vividly grow,
Rivers run smooth , at times exhibit a turbulent flow !

Soulful scenic marvel, must artistry come alive,
No artist or poet here can ever fail to thrive,

Green valley on one side, hilly serpentine road,
As summer sun peaks, it is my heavenly abode !

At the Gold Coast

At the Gold Coast

Parched and dry I stand,
Waiting and recalling
thirsty for your love,
At the Gold Coast
we met last summer,
Under the blue
on the sandy gold,
Memories afresh
Soothing winds unfold !

Your deep dark eyes that
pierced into my heart
Our tale of passion
at first sight did start,
That mighty embrace!
Melting emotions
with heat of breaths,
Tranquillised by
waves that covered by!

An impulse borne away
with every breath,
The most generous one
made me its slave,
Then the tyrant in both
of us well played,
Skin next to my skin,
thinnest air between
simply slipped by,

Intolerance precipitates
setting my soul ablaze,
Make love to me
in this ancient place,
Tears lost in time
and beats not keeping pace,
Wanderlust of my soul
ends at the Gold Coast,
My heavenly abode !

Who Are Those Funny Poets

Who are those funny poets

Be it Jack Ellison or Jan Allison,
their witty pens invariably giggle,
Eileen's passionate words set ablaze
Dave's love lyrics urge us to dance.
While Paul's imagery leaves in awe,
Nette and Andrea trick with riddles,
Linda and Skat the souls of soup,
Carrie's creative brush paints vivid
Frederic lends throbs to emotions
Richard's positivity puts to dance,
Hats off to romantic Tim and Olive
Constance dips her nib in ink of heart.
Judy places at number one to shimmer
Silent one and rob bestow fortunes,
Missed are Carolyn's wise words
and Dr Ram Mehta's brilliant fun writes.
