Full Figured Woman

I am a full figured woman
inside and out
Embracing my shape
as each curve tells her own story

My head you no longer enter
my heart you can not break
now you mad I no longer give,
SO...."ha ha" now you can no longer take

I am a full figured woman
inside and out
my arms and my mind wrap around new found joy,
yes this I receive from a real man, not a little boy.

And you thought I could never love again, "ha ha ha"
you silly, silly child

Your words no longer hold my attention
I fully understand how I can grow freely
not needing you, not one more minute
"Humph" you couldn't deliver anyway

I am a full figured woman
inside and out
no longer stuck in your ruts of disrespect.
 I see me more clearly
blessed for a higher potential

Go on now, move out the way.
You blockin my light.
Yea I see you squintin your eyes, unable to stand my shine
in your eyes sight

Who did you think you were anyway?
I shook you off my pole, throw that fish back
after all this time you takin and I'm givin
I'm the one whose skinny and your the one whose fat?
"Naw brah" I ain't havin that

Thick, I am meant to be
curves full for all to see
I am a full figured woman
I am free to be me

SO...from my head to my toes
from my heart, down deep to my soul
proudly I sass, curves and all, by mirrors glass.
reflections and satisfactions
of a full figured me!

Pretty Myself Up

Spent 2 hours on this here hair of mine.

PERFECT.... Not a hair out of place.

Curly long lashes, blush, liner, and lipstick,

accentuating the contours of my face.

Oh... then there's the baddest outfit money can buy

and yes shoes to match... with heels so high.

"Man" you can't tell me I ain't fine

Yea I see you lookin wishing I would call you mine

Pretty on the surface....LOOK DEEPER

But this is just the outer me

the shell I make up and cloth

My inside is what you cannot see

for it is not that bold.

The inner me likes to lounge around in my pj's

and eat chips as crumbs hit my lap.

Leaving them there asleep I fall,

zzzzzz!!!!! A much needed nap

I dream freely and comfortably,

looking different from head to toe

Just a cute lil outfit, and a sexy, sassy fro.

This is the real me,

you just don't know.

All natural face

clear of stores make-up and shine

my profile without these extra's

makes me more beautiful and divine.

My heart and soul

caring, loving and kind

well seen by others when given the time.

So to pretty myself up,

sure... I dress up the outer me.

But my real beauty lies deeper

only with your heart you will see.

Is how I pretty myself up daily.

My City, Happy City

My City
Tall buildings
Shiny lights
Filled with people
Endless sights

Children laughing and playing
joys to no end
countless games with
endless friends

A store on every corner
to fill sweet tooth's craving
Beauty Shops, Barber Shops
hair styles alive and men shaving

Fun all the time
Smiles as wide as the sky
Each new day brings new fine
Bigger and better as time goes by

I am an adult now
opportunities all around
Endless possibilities
so much joy to be found

Always a way, never a day
that I wonder what to do
Always a way, never a day
that I don't see a new door to go through

Happy City
Tall buildings
Shiny lights
Filled with people
Endless sights.

John 14:6

I thought it was left
instead it was right

Years I travel
in the wrong direction

Heeding not to maps instruction

I may not finish
should I go the other way.

I fool myself
"I got this"

Eyes shut,
yet reflects opens definition

Blind sighted, I continue
headed to damaged destinations

In this journey I grow tired
weary, breathless "pants" for air

I may stumble, headed to crumble
"Help is anyone there?"

I'm cool I'm straight
I think.....
This looks scary
darkness seems to blanket my path.

No answer in sight
too dark to see

Man this is really bugging me.

Tear drenched face
mind hurts of confusion

WAIT....over there, the other way
a solution

JESUS? Is that you?
Bright is the light,
but squint I do not

Oh Jesus I'm so glad you
came through
Right here and the right spot

Hand and hand
the brighter, righter,
and clear sighter
yes.... a new day

I trust you Lord
I will follow you

Who Decides

As I try to follow the protocol of love,
 I am stuck
the time in which others say you should expose your feelings
I give up

It's too soon they say
to express such love this way
you don't want to scare him away.

So I bottle them up, as they scream for release,
 seemingly punishing myself
of it's wonderful peace.

  That peace...Ohh that peace
of a warm angelic man, to hold me when I need comfort
to caress me down to my soul.
To fulfill this empty void in my life
to make me fill whole.

Even though the time may be short in our knowledge of one another,
 and our desires so bleak,
I do hope that someday soon we would become right for each other,
as this would put an end to my seek.

In the time of just a few short months,
chopped into a few short weeks,
and divided into a few short days.

A feeling of relief has entered my life...
my heart is filled with a dreamy haze.

I sigh at the thought of you,
 I smile at it's memories
how did I know so soon
that you would be right for me.

Now don't misunderstand I wish to be good for you too,
to fulfill every desire of joy, love, and a commitment so true.

The thoughts of colorful glowing explosions of love
 finally flowing my way
sends me on a natural high of ecstasy
 every single day.

Yes in my heart you have entered
so full, so fresh, so new
in my heart I surrender
to every want of loving you

I am not ashamed to admit my love at first sight
I am more in love with the feeling that you are so right.

  Pleasures of pure delight
 smiles of satisfaction
growing inside of me
at the thought of your reaction

Could you be all I hope for?
Would you be all I want in a man, and more?

So "yes" please take this as a proposition
for long, for keeps, for love
take this as me wanting the position
of being the woman your heart is in search of.

  Who "really" decides
when your expressions of love can be let out in peace????

Am I Dreaming

I miss something I never had, gripping my heart constantly
my mind drifts , or quiet becomes the tune in my ear.
Shattered dreams,
Questions of why
This is day to day life, as the years fly by.

I miss the place I never gone, the songs I never song
the stories I have yet to write
Not out of my mind, yet not seen
so... out of sight

When my heart cries,
it grips tears of dreams
that only come true
when my shut eyes
are in view.

I close them "WOW" oh so beautiful!!

My dream shows no more regrets
no more visits of past pain
The things I've learned
become shelter
from it's rain.

Learn from it, grow from it,
move on......from it
Take with me only that which makes me strong
that which empowers my soul
I had to go through all along

Upon splitting open my lids
a light of joy squints my vision
as new ideas transforms my many decisions
All while smiling, I see more clearly
my love for writing, my heart holds so dearly

This is where I find freedom of expression
I find a place of restoration
Here the words of my heart can flow
Here is my life's purpose...I know

To write and relieve
all hopes, desires dreams, and needs
The pathway of "MY" writer
on how I shall succeed

there is more to see
dreams can be seen past hurtful reality

So I write....
an expression of me
a joyful vision, I'm so happy to see

With or without, Closed Lids

In silent tears, I cry to you Lord for immediate restoration
I am angry that I feel the desire to drop tears, over past hurts
that somehow crept back
to create present pain.

Beneath my new found happiness
there is a hole, full of dirt and debris
that clouds my way to function...

No room to move,
I am forced to face it's discomfort.

Where do I go?
What do I do?
I wish to be rid of past hurts
I wish to embrace you.

Bless me Lord, as I desire to cleanse my brokenness
Help me God to be a new me
that looks at her past, for the last

No more bound or shaken by it's disrespect
No more will I allow it to cripple me to tears of regrets.

Facing it for what it was, and more importantly
for what it was not.

I look at it never again
instead I move forward

Now flowing, are new tears of Joy
I'm happy now
Thank you God for the lesson.

Dreams Still Dreaming

A dancer in a show,
a singer
An actress in a drama,
a dream, and a dreamer.

Across the stages of many
city's, states, and towns
Wishing to be encamped, by numerous opportunities
all around.

My days filled with "fun busy"
and "busy fun".

My nights filled with anticipations new day,
and another one.

My dreams still dreaming
My hopes still hoping
never will they stop
"Nope" not for nothing.

Closure of my eyes
breathing in deep
the fresh new day

Opening of the eyes
looks beyond the horizon
not so far away.

Answered happy
that dreams do come true
for dancers , and singers,
and "STARS" like you.

If just one of my dreams could
take off
become real in one flight

Far Far away.....
but never out of sight.

"Yea I'ma get to it, you just wait and see!

Mommy Where Did You Go

In and out it comes and goes
confusion along with grief

Back and forth it rocks
showing minute signs of relief

Questions so many
Answers so few

Searches of parties
Searches of you

Anger is it's feet, that walk across the heart
Sadness is it's hands, that seem to rip it apart

You left us, you went away
for some unknown reason
You chose,or was forced
not to stay

For years that seem no end,
I cry, I wait, I hide

For years so cold back then,
without you by our side.

Needing you more, that darkness needs light
We needed a stronger you, we needed you to fight.

Your children still need you,
the answer to our dream.

It matters not the facts of your dilemma,
the facts of your pain.
Strong family ties, yet still here for the gain

It matters not, what we did or did not know
It matters only room for forgiveness to grow.

In and out it comes
God will the pain ever cease?

God say's.....

"Come follow me my child, for I shall give you peace
He did.

Mommy where do you go?
Somewhere, Some Place, only God knows.

Soaring and Determined

You can take my wings, but I'm still gone fly

You can subtract yourself from my lifes equation

The sum will still add up to tangible dividends

Perserverance soaring

Higher than outer planets core

Obstacles dissipate

leaving only questionable debris

Opportune door blocked

My praise possess the key

I see you in the distance

Talkin Sh%$ yea hatin on me

Sometimes lifes unfair

but for growth

that's how it's gotta be

But simple the solution

to your cores dis-ease

Seek God's knowledge instead

and not others to please

For no matter what you do

some folk will always soar higher than you

Now with all that being said

WHOOOOO..... duck watch your head!!!!

I am determined you see, yet soaring

wing free.
