Mommy Where Did You Go
In and out it comes and goes
confusion along with grief
Back and forth it rocks
showing minute signs of relief
Questions so many
Answers so few
Searches of parties
Searches of you
Anger is it's feet, that walk across the heart
Sadness is it's hands, that seem to rip it apart
You left us, you went away
for some unknown reason
You chose,or was forced
not to stay
For years that seem no end,
I cry, I wait, I hide
For years so cold back then,
without you by our side.
Needing you more, that darkness needs light
We needed a stronger you, we needed you to fight.
BLACK WOMAN, BLACK MOTHER, BLACK QUEEN
Your children still need you,
the answer to our dream.
It matters not the facts of your dilemma,
the facts of your pain.
Strong family ties, yet still here for the gain
It matters not, what we did or did not know
It matters only room for forgiveness to grow.
In and out it comes
God will the pain ever cease?
God say's.....
"Come follow me my child, for I shall give you peace
He did.
Mommy where do you go?
Somewhere, Some Place, only God knows.
