Futile Contemplation

When next you sit
And contemplate
The emptiness
Of your life,
Perhaps you'll muse
Past old mistakes,
Old Lovers,
And their lies.
Too many moments
Slip silently away
Longing for the past;
And moments mount
Against the day
To win the war at last.
With your lifetime spent
And no reserve,
Where will your last
Days find you:
Contemplating the pain ahead
Or lost in the pain behind you?
Stop for a quivering moment
And breathe deeply of the Peace,
Release the pain, accept the gain
And rejoice in its release.

Mama's Hands

My Mama's hands will never grow old,
No matter the twisted, fickle years.
They've held the brightest gems of joy
And softly dried my childish tears.

My Mama's hands raise the glorious sun
And set the restless stars in the evening sky.
Filled with grace and sultry passion,
Their luminous beauty is quiet and shy.

They danced across the crinkled pages
Of my young and thoughtless life;
Taught me fearless love for children,
And how to be a strong and faithful wife.

With the magic of creative stroke,
With each caring touch and soft caress,
They sowed the seeds of grace and poise
Into each stitch she made in every dress.

The music of their movements
Will forever play across my mind.
And, now that I am a woman
I'm not surprised to find...

All her words and thoughtful actions
Spun my life's web of lovely strands,
And her love was always measured
By the gentle touch of Mama's hands.

Meeting My Soulmate

I see you. I recognize you.

The brilliance of your Light attracts me,
bathes me in its warmth,
sings to me in comforting sighs,
draws me near as I walk, transfixed,
into the deepest pools of your eyes.

I am home in your arms,
I am safe in your laughter.
You complete me.

My inner child delights in reaching for you,
longing to curl into the safety of your soul.
Like a trusting kitten, purring to the
rhythm of our joined heartbeats,
I lay gently in the ecstasy of our Light and Love.

I see you. I know you.
We are love, and we are one.

No secrets between us;
Only Light, only Joy, Attraction, Heat.
Only melodies, swaying sweet.

You are here. I am here.
I see you. I remember you.
I love you. You love me.

Unconditionally, unwaveringly.
Forever - each lifetime,
We find one another.

I see you. You are here.
Life will never be the same.

Love brings with it everything we need.
Love is self-contained, shared and
Protected within the spheres of our auras.

I love you. I trust you. I forgive you,
For taking so long to find me.
I welcome you back, and the
Thread of our spiritual, emotional, and
Physical oneness remains unbroken.
Once again, now in this lifetime,
We are one.

I forgive you.
I release you.
I withhold nothing from you.
You are free.
I am free.
I am one, and I am love.
We are love, and we are one.
Forever more.

Here you are! I see you!
See me; recognize me.
Love me.

Graduate

The meaning of Life:
   To touch, to feel, to see;
To know without shadows of doubt
   of One's immortality.

Life is the kindergarten of the Cosmos;
A proving ground of worth.
Evolutionary graduations
Lift us high about the earth.

Reflections of the sunset
Through the prisms of our eyes,
Shine on as true illusions as Life
Laughs at our naivete and keeps smiling at our lies.

Graduate to a higher framework of thinking.
Move into the upper class of the Divine.
Life is not narrow, restrictive or limiting;
It's all in your state of mind.

Guard carefully your thoughts and emotions.
Sift them for the brightest nuggets of gold.
Glean out the best and most perfect image
Of your Highest Good that you can hold.

Then, let it shine in each moment and hour.
Fight yourself to save your own Soul.
You hold the key to your future and destiny
As you watch eternity unfold.

Sacred Mother

My people walk upon the Earth gently,
respectful of those who walked before
whose atoms mingle in the stardust
sprinkled from shore to shining shore.

My people hold Her sacred,
and cling to a long chanted prayer
that all who walk upon Her face
will find sacred teachings there.

My people feel Her spiraling rhythms
And Ghost Dance to Her holy hum.
We touch Her face ever gently
With unquelched tears of countless sum.

She bows her noble, gray head to acknowledge
The many who have been lost,
and none can count the blessings wasted
of their lives forever and savagely tossed.

But, She no longer sings of murder.
She longs for quiet and peaceful fires.
Her green and blossoming outstretched arms
Strong now, promise hopeful and lovely spirals.

It is upward from her dust that we must look for peace
And open our heart past hate and vengence.
Now is our time to dance and welcome back
The sacred Mother of splendid vestal vestige.

Who Am I

Sixty plus, and counting,
Still running from my life:
Child, athlete, writer, warrior
Master Teacher, mother, wife.
Still pondering the age old question,
"Who am I?"

Am I what I do? What I have? Where I work?
Or, are these just my alibis?
Who looks out longingly
from my tired, tear washed eyes?
Am I what I own? Where I've been? Who I've loved?
Or, are these just my alibis?

Does my body define me?
Am I only flesh and blood?
Or, am I composed of each fleeting moment,
Comprised of sweetness, truth and love?

Once, long ago, in a precog dream,
I heard God's resonating voice whispering to me,
"You are Eternal, Immortal, and nothing can hurt you."
So, am I cosmic lights and spirit? Am I the path I seek?

Once, long ago, out of body,
I reveled in a sheath of cosmic light,
Knowing the truth of my own Oneness
And the ecstacy of dimensions in transcending flight.

"I Am that I AM." said the most high God.
Can it really be so starkly simple,
To speak our truth and declare our Beingness,
And all of Life our sacred temple?

I am all possibility, one with my Source.
Powerful, omniscient: an unwavering creative Force.
By my focus and intention, I look deeply into Sri Yantra.
and I become who I choose to be.
By simply deciding to, I call forth the essence of me.

Strawman

Your Strawman walks a hidden, ghostly path.
He isn’t real to the touch or human, and yet
You’ll find his likeness splashed across
The wounded nations of the world;
His secrets deeply embedded in the net.

A contrivance, a grievous error;
And yet you never knew he lived;
An imaginary vessel lost on a misty sea,
One day you’ll wake, and undertake
The steps to send him to its depths, like me.

He is you, but enslaved, you never knew;
And yet he never was alive or a body made.
He stole your life’s inheritance.
The day that you were born, the debt was laid.
Your parents signed away your riches and
Your life unknowingly, in their trusting ignorance.

One world, one coin, a religion does not make.
Because you are the living, breathing woman or man,
You are real, and born upon the sovereign land.
It’s time to claim your rightful place.
Your Strawman is the heinous fake.

God bless the Pope! “MOTU PROPRIO!”
He saw the truth and battled darkness with the Light.
In 2013 when He claimed His Sovereignty
The story was buried in the dead of night,
But some of us did see.

Awake, arise! No more compromise!
We are all tired of the banker’s lies.
No more trusting, ignorant slaves without hope.
“MOTU PROPRIO!”, cried the Pope.

Living In the Nation

You made a choice,
You broke the mold,
You raised your hand
Now you’re living bold
	Oh, yes! You did.
	Oh, yes! I did.

You turned your back
On pain and lack.
You said “No, thanks,
I’m not going back!”
	Oh, yes! You did.
	Oh, yes! I did.

When everyone else
Was still asleep,
You opened your eyes
And took a peek.
	Oh, yes! You did.
	Oh, yes! I did.

You saw the path
You made a way
You challenged fear
Now you’re here to stay.
	Oh, yes! You did.
	Oh, yes! I did.

Mama said “NO!”
Daddy said “No!”
Sista said “No!”
And so did your bro.
	Oh,yes! They did
	Oh, yes! They did

But you turned your back
On mediocrity and lack,
Said “Oh, no! This is it!”
I’m done with trouble
I don’t miss pain
I’m looking for joy
Personal growth and gain.
	Oh, yes! You did.
	Oh, yes! I did.

Yeah, you turned your back
On sorrow and lack
On worry and grief
On fear and blame
You took the steps
You fought the fight
Then you stormed the stage
On Saturday night!
	Oh, yes! You did!
	Oh, yes! I did!

You had a four step plan
In the palm of your hand.
You fought your fear
Courage brought you here
	Oh, yes! It did!
	Oh, yes! It did!

Now you’re happy and bold
You broke the mold
You’re living large
Fighting the fight
Taking your cruises
Changing your life
You’re done with the bruises
	Oh, yes! You did!
	Oh, yes! I did!

You’re soaring now
Taking life higher
Nothin gonna hold you
Did what we told you
	Oh, yes! You did!
	Oh, yes! I did!

The warmest of the warm
Came along for the ride
Shoulder to shoulder
They stand by your side.
	Oh, Yes! They did!
	Oh, Yes! They did!

Mama said “No!”
Daddy said “No!”
Sista said “No!”
And so did your bro.
	Oh, yes! They did!
	Oh, yes! They did!

You know it don’t matter
Roaches gonna scatter
You got new familia now
Go on, take a bow!
We got elevation
	Heart elation
We’re all one family
Livin in the Nation!
	Oh, yes! We did!
	Oh, yes! We did!

Each

Each day...
A page freshly written
Across the face of time.

Each kiss...
A new excitement
To thrill and tantalize.

Each touch...
Caresses every moment
With silent words of love.

Each syllable...
Expresses the caresses
That I've been dreaming of.

Each tear...
Shines in joyous beauty
Through the sweetness of your soul.

Each smile...
Uplifts and brushes softly
Away the tears of solitude.

Each embrace...
Surrounds and protects my heart
From ever losing you.

Each stroll...
Brings us closer together
Upon our sacred paths.

Each star...
Shines brighter
To show our way at last.

Each night...
I will love you,
over and over, unabashed.

Each day...
I'm grateful for you
And ready to love again.

Each lifetime...
We'll find each other
And fall in love again.

Love On the Dark Side

You senselessly hurt me,
Then, demand I do not cry.

You frustrate me,
Then, unsympathetically punish my display of anger.

You ridicule me,
Then, taunt me when I strive
     to win your approval.

You swear long-standing tribal love and protection,
Then, crush my small, unprotected heart with indifference.

You set impossible goals,
     Then, painstakingly dismantle my ego.

You demonstrate blatant distain,
Then, draw me inside your dark, secret circle.

You demand the obscene use of my disarmoured sheath,
Then, discard the confused Soul indwelling.

Who taught you how to love on the Dark Side?

Were you not once also a child,
Alone, and frightened in the whispering darkness?

Did you not once also smile, laugh and sing?

Who taught you to hide your innocence,
In the filmy guise of unrequited bravery?

A male child cries hauntingly,
In the background of my dreams.

If children learn what they live,
Who taught you to love on the Dark Side?
