Searching 4 the Unsearchable

Is this just wishful thinking?
Or am I reaching for something worthwhile
Am I wasting my time?
Or am I really just a sucker for a pretty smile

Whenever something seems promising
It turns out to be full of misconceptions
When I put my heart out on my sleeve
It’s torn back open my a world of deceptions

Sometimes I wonder if I just go after the wrong things
Always going after the people who don’t understand what love truly brings

I cry out for someone to hold, love, and cherish
Without those simple things, life may as well perish

Is my heart just too strong
Or are my wishes in fact feasible
In a world full of broken promises
I long for love to be more reachable

Realization

Love is pain
At least that’s what they say
Thinking back
I disagreed in every way

I had your hand to hold, and your smile to cherish
How could that be pain?
You were the highlight of my life
My sunshine after rain

Things got shaky
But I turned on the denial
I should have known it was bad
When a frown replaced that beautiful smile

All of a sudden
I found myself without you
I wondered if what they said about love
Was in reality, true

Around me
Everything fell to shambles
My once meaningful words
Turned to heartless rambles

I was lost, broken, confused
The way you threw it all away
I felt little more than used

Love is pain
That’s what I told my heart
But then I realized
The thing I had missed from the start

It was you that didn’t understand love
You never knew what it was to care
For you to tell me you loved me
Was in truth nothing but unfair

The truth about love is simple
It’s actually quite clear
When you find someone else who understands true love
You have nothing to fear

Me & You

Your hair, smooth and flowing
Looking at you gives me feelings of knowing
The softness of your skin
You’re so beautiful it’s a sin
Knowing in my heart you’re the one for me
Being with you just sets me free
Seeing you, you’re gorgeous in every way
If you wanted the key to my heart, id surely give it away
Just take my hand and we’ll make it through
Nothing else matters, but me and you

Love At First Sight

Though I barely know you, something about you just catches my eye
Look up, give me your heart, and ill give you the whole sky
As the sun rises, and my eyes open, thoughts of you flash to me
My hearts been locked this whole time, and I think your love is the missing key
Can we make this feeling last?
Can we make this stay the present, and not the past?
Love at first sight
All it takes is one night

Turn Miles Into Nothing

You’re one of those girls you never meet
But have always known
Through the course of our endless conversations
My capacity to love has grown

When I see you
I can’t wait to set eyes on that smiling face
I know that when we’re together
My heart will have found its place

Take my hand
And let this stranger lead you to a place you’ve never been
You might have thought you’d never fall in love
But I’ll show you that in fact, you can

We’re so far
Yet so connected
The feeling you’ve been giving me
Was completely unexpected

The miles between us
Might be keeping us apart
But my heart doesn’t follow a map
And it’s known you were the one from the start

Never before
Did I realize how far love could travel
For the first time I can remember
I can feel the love in my heart begin to unravel

I say we take those miles between us
And throw them aside
Instead of staying apart
Let us follow what’s inside

Hearing that beautiful voice
It’s the love inside I can feel
What do you say we take a chance
And turn this love into something real?

True Meaning

Do you know the true meaning of love?
Not those meaningless nights
Or those playful pillow fights
I mean the nights you can remember
The times when you surrender

Do you know the true meaning of love?
Not those petty kisses on the cheek
Or those phone calls once a week
I mean the heartfelt lips to lips
When you love them from their heart to fingertips

Do you know the true meaning of love?
Thinking back, I don’t think you do
If you had, you wouldn’t have let me go
Your missed opportunities are a shame
Soon, to you I’ll just be another name
