You Can'T Make Me Forget

You can't make me forget,
You can't make me close these eyes and see only darkness,
You can't stop these tears,
You can't stop the rain from falling and you can't stop the grass from growing.

I still hear your voice
I still see your face
I still feel you in the depths of my soul

I know your presence
I know your beating heart
I know how your blood is bound
and i still walk with you in my your dreams

You can't stop me from from loving you

You can't make me forget.

That Girl

Walking upon the moor one day,
I saw a girl standing alone in the shadow of the sun,
She wore a dress of pure white and had hair so black it was if a raven had
emptied it's feathers upon her head.
A single tear fell from her crystal cheek
and swept oceans from where it lay,
A drop of blood straight from her heart,
Staining her shining dress and seeping throughout until it was fiery red.

I remember wondering why she cried,
why her face was so full of sorrow while the sun blazed and the birds sung their
lullubys around her.
She caught me in her glance,
and raised a smile which trembled from her lips,
and sought familiarity in my features,
But i blinked and she was gone,
leaving only a single black feather as a mark of her presence.

I puzzled over it a while,
before turning and walking back down the gressy mound,
Taking one final look over my shoulder in a hope to catch a glimse of that
sorrowful angel,
Of whome i have never seen since.

Tears

Tears well up in their eyes,
They fall upon the hollow ground and echo into the empty expanse of their world,
If only it was water,
Dripping like pure silver and quenching their endless thirst,
Wetting the forever parched land.

Everything around them is dry,
Even the sky holds no moisture,
Just dust which surrounds, engulfs,
Chokes these humble and dying people,
Starvation is their life,
Dehydration their death.

Help them - do something, anything,
Create the rain,
Cook the food,
Fill their empty bellies,
Let them know that their not alone,
Give them warmth and cling on,
Create justice
Cook their dreams and let them boil over,
Light a simple spark of hope and watch it burn in their eyes,
Save them from natures crual humour,
Let their dignity be,
Let them live without the constant threat of death hanging over their beautiful
souls,
and they will thrive.
