Wasn'T Meant To Be

through my heart,
you drag your claws,
you seemed so perfect,
even your flaws,

is it just me?
i can not tell,
is this heaven?
is it hell?

do i alone,
feel this way?
left to cry
day by day

could you feel
my pulse end
you left because
i wouldn't bend

eyes so cold
heart so still
i give up
do what you will

as if my love
could keep you here,
you go and do
what i fear

could it be me
reading wrong
what i feel
oh so strong

from you
head to toe
telling me
to let you go?

hello soup loving people. i wrote this poem with my freind jezabella. enjoy

June 19, Headache of My Life

Flirt shamelessly,
Hold my hand,
Say you miss me,
I don't understand,

What do you want,
It makes no sense,
Are we present,
Are we past tense?

You say you 'love' him,
Yet 'that doesn't stop' you,
Then you run back to him,
So are we done? Are we through?

You aren't happy,
You know it in your heart,
So for the sake of his happiness,
Will you tear yourself apart?

If this were your last moment,
If this was it,
would you still be with him,
would you call it quits?

I need an answer,
Tell me the truth,
before I break,
You should know my heart isn't bullet proof...

Realize, Remember, Regret

That moment when you realize,
what love should be,
what you lost,
what you didn't see..

That one memory,
that you cant forget,
that haunts you,
that makes you wonder why you met..

That piercing look and,
she makes you melt,
she teases you,
she makes you question all you've felt..

That end result,
you'll never quite recover,
you'll always regret,
you'll always wish she were your lover..

Curse of a Princess

Fairytales,
and butterflies,
in this story,
we begin with lies,
promises,
we never kept,
I should have held on tighter,
when you wept,
small mistakes,
on both our parts,
added up,
to shred our hearts,
creeping shadows,
behind the flowers,
in what we thought,
were our finest hours,
talking grass,
crystal snow,
in our lie of love,
a hidden foe,
the evil witch,
her claws aimed to kill,
t'was she who pushed you,
down the hill,
a broken crown,
a forgotten well,
to live without you,
was her spell,
an evil curse,
she cast in spite,
although we loved,
with all our might,
kept apart,
by what was said,
in regret,
our hearts bled,
watch from afar,
speak in vein,
a curse taken course,
inflicted pain,
and so it began,
with love and lies,
our fairytale ends,
and we both die...

Bettyann

What to say,
I'm not quite sure,
for the bond between us,
there is no cure,
I betrayed your trust,
I let you go,
but when you left,
my heart in tow,
I came to regret,
all I said,
then for you,
my heart bled,
a mistake I made,
but a lesson learned,
a new me,
is what I earned,
too late now,
to regain what was lost,
I understand now,
but at a cost,
you've moved on,
and so should I,
for the sweetest loves,
end in goodbye...

comments, please, anyone...?

Time Heals Nothing

Hole in my chest,
slow sweet burn,
have I become a masochist,
even with the lesson I've learned?
the scares I bare,
remind me now,
of times I've loved,
now that I've forgotten how,
time heals nothing,
but makes us numb,
to the pain,
to which our hearts will succumb,
yearning for,
a time now gone,
you moved on,
lines are drawn,
yet you still smile at me,
that adorable smirk,
you bring forth,
those feelings that lurk,
those feelings I hate,
for there will never be,
a happy ending,
for you and me..

What do you do when something you feel never really goes away, yet there's no point in those feelings because they'll never go anywhere??

Left In Pieces

The broken pieces,
through which i see,
have the power,
to render me,
helpless to all,
invisible to you,
here i stay,
shattered anew,
this makes no sense,
what broken thing does?
treading carefully,
i'm shattered because,
i crossed a line,
made a mistake,
pain envelopes the pieces,
with each breath i take.

Doll Face

weeping sorrows,
my heart is left to drown,
you all sit and stare,
as i fall down down down,

do you not care,
or can you not see
this life is unfair,
and has decided she will be the end of me,

i see you there,
laughing in delight,
but i lay here knowing,
this will be our last night,

air so clear,
moon so bright,
yet i can not see,
for there is no light,

curl up and die,
lie and wait,
am i excpected,
to accept this as my fate?

screams so cold,
shivers run deep,
hell's been given,
my soul to keep,

heaven can wait,
i'm not wanted there,
through it all,
i refuse to care,

flames dance in circles,
demons prowl,
im still falling,
through air so foul.

uh... there.

Lies Within Fairy Tales

in the dark,
i hear your name,
wondering blind,
never to be the same,

so many choices,
what to do?
can i just give up,
searching for you

one true love,
hidden behind,
lies and fairytales,
none too kind,

sit here and wait,
scarred and numb,
reflecting past,
feeling dumb.

Circus

they paint my body,
and make me sing,
a smile i want,
from the man in the ring,

bend me this way,
throw me there,
with opened mouths,
they sit and stare,

i catch the eyes,
of one in the crowd,
of flowing laughter,
growing loud,

they see my chains,
my silent cries,
with each twirl in the air,
my spirit dies,

the lights go down,
i sit and wait,
as the one i love,
closes the gate

i wish for light,
where i used to fly,
before i was here,
where the clowns still cry
