And the Night Came

The cool darkness came.
Night envelops me in hurt.
Why did the sun go?

I Wish My Couch Was a Toilet

I wish my couch was a toilet.
It would be so squishy soft.
When I went to sit down, everyone would scoff.
I wish my couch was a toilet.
And no one could ever spoil it.
So when...I spin on a whim!

Alas...oh alas.
Just think of the cleaning.
There would be no scrubbing bubbles.
Only lots of troubles.
Just think of the toilet rings.
The would not be fit for 3 kings.

Alas...oh alas.
I still wish my couch was a toilet! ;P

(I was feeling funny today!! ;P)

I Remember

I rember the smell of my Grandmas house.
It smelled of cigerett smoke.
It smelled of the woods beside her house.
It smelled of her cooking.
It smelled...old.
I remember the way she looked.
She had sad and knowing eyes.
She had short cropped brown hair.
She had a sweet,welcoming smile.
She had a wrinkled face like a wise Medicine Woman.
I rember the way she acted.
She would sit on her couch and watch Soap operas.
She would lay on her couch and ask me to rub her feet.
She would make my sister and I oatmeal with butter in the middle.
She would mrush my hair and then I would brush hers.
I remember the day she died.
She had a heart attack.
Her car hit a telaphone pole.
My cousin Robert was in the front seat in the car,he didnt get hert.
The last thing she said was:"Dont worry,I'll be allright."

She always put us before herself and even payed some of my dad's child support.
I miss her.

Pale Blue Eyes

Waves crash against the shore
An old eagle cries.
Withered petals fall to the floor.
A soft wind blows and the Angel opens her eyes,
Her pale blue colored eyes.
They present the sun
The glory we have to hide.
Tears drip from down the hall,
A life that never got to live.
The Angel closes her eyes,
Those pale blue colored eyes.
Shadows in the breeze,
Love in the rain.
Waves crash against the shore
An old eagle dies.

On Life's Endevor

You told me forever.
We both know it wasn't true.
I thought we were in it together,
but it was really only you.

You tried to hold my hand,
but when you did I pulled away.
Apparently our "love" was always canned.
I don't think you loved me anyway.

I told them they were wrong,
but now I know they were right.
Now I am writing this song,
and you know I hate it when we fight.

I told you you were a cheater,
always playing those silly games.
I know I'm not a leader,
so now all I feel is shame.

You asked for a second chance,
then I told you never.
I felt as if you hit me with a lance.
I guess I'm alone on life's endeavor.

In the Valley of Shadows and Death

I was born in the Valley of Shadows and Death,
They say I'm alive,
Just scars I wont forget.
I remember that kid,
An orphan that just wanted to die.
They took him to the woods,
Murdered him with a scythe.
We all have our demons and horrors to defy,
Our lust and our hate to recognize.
Save me from the only one I've ever known,
Save me from the pain of my yesterdays.
They crawl in my bed in the middle of the night,
They scream and they cry,
Saying it will all be alright.
If I let you in yo'd just want out.
There's no one left to cry for us now.
I can't do this on my own...
Don't go...

He Must Do What I Do

As aI walk away from the light,i am entering a whole new fight.
He must do as I do.
When I go into the cold,my soul will be sold.
He must do as I do.
When my newborn baby cries, all I hear are lies.
He must do as I do.
When we huged and kissed, secretly he was dissed.
He must do as I do.
When the disease spread, all he felt was dread.
He must do as I do.
When I die and wake no more,he wont walk out the door.
He must do as I do.

I Wish You Were Here

I always needed to be alone.
I never thought I'd need you
there when I cry.
You left to go on strange
endeavors in the east.
The bed is still made up on
your side.
Can you see how much I need
you rite now?
Pieces of my heart are missing
you.
The words I need to get me
through the day,
They make it okay.
I wish you were here.
Everything that I did reminded
me of you.
The clothes you left behind,
When I see them I cry.
The man in the blue came with
the letter today.
When I saw him I cried.
The child that's yous will never
see your face.
I wish you were here.

just so you know this poem was
inspired by Avril Lavigne and I
did not intend on copying lines
from her song I am sorry if I
offended any of you.

The Divide

For the love of God will you bite your tongue?
It's times like this that silence is golden.
There is a Hell, believe me I've seen it.
If there's a Heaven let's keep it a secret.
I'm bleeding out every word you say.
Don't let a whisper slip from your lips.
Don't let a whimper slip from your throat.
I'm burning down every bridge we made,
Heaven forbid you cross the divide.
Darkness rises and the bodies hit the floor.
Blood rises from the depths and you open the door.
I'll watch you choke on every heart you break.
When did the diamonds leave your bones?

If We Were Together

If wew were together, would we have fun?
Would we hold hands, would we hug?
If were together would we fight?
Would we make up?
Would we kiss?
If we were together, would we love?
Would we hurt, would we ease the pain?
If we were together, would we chat?
Would we talk,would we complain?
I guess thats just the way couples are...right?
