Shivon Mejias Poem
Hello everyone after reading quite a few of your poems today I was inspired to write
this one on the spot... I am at work and it took me 2mins to compose. I welcome
feedback and I have about 50 poems from about the age of 14 to upload
eventually… Love this site and you guys...
HERE GOES....
I Wish
I wish I could give you free reign to explore my mind to understand my motives and
intentions
I wish I could do the same with yours so that every expression I utter you would get
the meaning without misinterpretations
I wish I could explain ‘a feeling’ indeed so you would know exactly how I feel
I wish I could taste literally an emotion so somehow I could re-create that portion
I wish you could know, how much you would grow if only my wish could come true

FEELINGS SMP © 2007
An unidentified tomb stone so is your mystery
Downpour after the drought so refreshing is your confidence in our love
Nourishment after the famine your trust sustains me
Lay me down in your certainty & bed me with the tenderness of your heart
Shower me with your generosity & pamper me with your care
Dry my hair with your patience & perfume me with your sensitivity
Stay true to your promises you will
Intense as the sun are your desires and motives
Dreams as free as the flight of birds
Tropical origin you must be from your very soul leaks warmth
Convincing, inviting you open the door to possibilities
Charm you possess far surpass the rest of your species
Intriguing your customs and your way of life
Zest for passion you possess
Eager to live life, eager to learn you generate enthusiastic excitement
Free from limitations yet perhaps bounded by the heart you reach out for love
Longing to be understood wanting to be seen & heard you express this through
haste
Take time my love stop & notice life be stress free as you ought to be
Privileged you are for from bondage you do not long to be released
Make time my love the sun sets oh too quickly
Stop and smell the grass make time for love make time for you make time for me

Shivon Mejias Poem
INVASION OF DREAMLAND
How is it that you still invade my dreams and stir up such feelings of desire?
Motives reproachful for me you had yet subconsciously suppressed you are'nt
Not a thought for you during waking hours is given yet my dreams you haunt by
your presence
Yearnings for you exist even if only on subliminal levels
One AM I turn in my sleep and the dream rushes to memory as vivid as reality
I am a slave to this pen and pad no sleep will be attained if these events go
unrecorded
Truly blessed I am for this gift of creativity; grateful am I for my ability to express
even my darkest emotions beautifully
Off to the land where no lies can be told...
Off to the land where one’s deepest wants are expressed...
Pride and shy hold no existence here...
Focus on the most wanted desires before landing there and maybe, just maybe,
you will experience them
Welcome to dreamland...

REFLECTIONS SMP © 2010
Memories surface as fallen leaves on a pond
Passive, pensive, reflective
Worth; who determines it?
Who clipped your lovely wings beautiful butterfly that you may see but one sight?
Fear; who overcomes it? What makes you different from I?
Tears; why shed it? Trust; who can gain it?
Which one of you can truly be called able-bodied?
What drum does your heart sound?
Knowledge; how necessary is it? Is it better to be blissed by ignorance?
Love who can explain it? If so can it be found?
Betrayal who hasn’t felt it? Which one of you blameless can be found?

Shivon Mejias Poem
Glimpse through my window; it’s all Sunshine outside, though rainstorms threaten to darken my days, the heat always melts the ice and the sunshine shines bright
My description is relative to your experience; Spear me a moment of your vision please
There is plenty of room for us both and plenty of room for growth
There they are at our window; peering through the glass, focusing on the damp moisture from rain fell and dried.
They have no knowledge of the towels at our sides of the reinforced shelter; lessons learned from conquered storms
Turn our backs on them we do and hand in hand we go five pairs of hands holding one of the other
A brother, sisters a father a mother together we stay in the warm glow just out of the view of your windows…

Shivon Mejias Poem
The sudden sadness gripped me and knocked me off of my feet?
Goodbye I thought I said to these past yet present feelings
What are the implications of the simple words you speak
Respect appreciation lacking for me
Look upon my features and see my demise
Stretch out your vision stare for a while
Behind the features long lashes and curly locks there I am unmasked hurting longing for your touch
Not physical is this touch of which i speak
Is there anyone out there who sees what I see?
Hears what i hear? Longs for what I yearn? Speak up now its time to be heard
Yet there you go again pride filled you turn
The door you wanted to open yet you left it closed...how would you be perceived so your fingers you removed
Once more I'm left to bleed internally but with the lashes and the locks the cheeks and the blush to everyone its oblivious...

Shivon Mejias Poem
For Jade…
I’d rather die and let you live if the choice of life was mine to give…
I’d rather be chained and you set free once I’m guaranteed your security…
I’d rather give the best of me if it means you’ll see no poverty…
My heart I’d bleed without a blink if indeed it makes you think…of life and love and fearless things…my life without a doubt I’d give.
Free birds in flight I watch them soar… unto new heights they then explore… I wish you all these things and more…freedom, health and to be always adored…My Jade… My love… please endure…

Shivon Mejias Poem
Ask Yesterday
Ask yesterday how was their today? How fleeting did it pass by?
Ask yesterday how never ending it seemed, asks him if he knew he would have to take leave?
Ask the oak tree to tell its tale of the speed at which he grew; even though a lifetime of mortals by maybe two, the oak tree would say much too few.
Look at yourself at how decades flow. Are you still grudging or feeling low?
Life for all circles the same it becomes only sooner for mortals, easier to succumb.
Stop, admire, hear and touch cause soon in time we’d return to dust.
