Heaven On Earth

Which part of earth do I stand?
An exotic heaven etched by His Holy Hand!
Heart leaps and wriggles beneath with rapture,
spirits go high to dance in this exquisite land.

Behold!beyond the heavenly waters, the seven towering hills,
with poetic words my heart fills
where to glance foremost ,thereof I know not,
they hold me captive, with their picturesque stills.

Hues and shades of green and yellow,
prosperous and breathtaking this land so mellow,
unsolicited luck or a surreal dream,
hardly can I believe, this poor little fellow!

Crystal clear the water that flows,
reflects the endless sky and Sun that glows,
zealous zephyrs frolic with pine twigs,
glances with plea at the plunging auburn disc and reluctantly blows.

Cloudlessly stand the sky so high,
birds still perch down, unwilling to fly
from this dreamy land of eternal beauty,
and love and harmony,secretly I whisper,'so do I'!

The Bleak Wall

Overgrown with trees and weeds,
abandoned long by men and breeds,
still,haunting darkness reigns
into this forest, the mossy path leads.

Inhabited by ferocious brutes
and unknown trees laden with red fruits,
walk seems prolonged,yet energising,
the path being punctuated by protruding roots.

There,amidst the aphotic forest,stands a bleak wall,
with cracks and crevices,it's about to fall,
erected o'er shaky, worn out stones with lichens
that seem too old with no life at all.

Beyond the bleak wall lays,a meadow without blemish,
like the one I saw in a dream,I still cherish,
where the deers ramble fearlessly,
the wounds in their mellowed hearts, the nature will replenish.

After the Rain

A thousand drops pelted down,
from infinity to the dessicated ground,
soil,like a weary drunkard,
relished the sumptuous drink.

Maids of nature in dusty green gowns-
with lassitude in their eyes,
swayed in breeze and gaiety
as the raindrops tittilated them.

Hefty blue clouds of myraid sizes
congregated 'round the Sun
to boast their strength and
display their power and might.

Suave Sun smiled and from
his gilded robe,picked a wand,
swished it once or twice in air
built a bow beyond speculation.

Blue clouds shrank with shame and
melted i fervour of Sun's smile,
Lady Earth,embellished with the bow
from her paramour, looked beguiling after the r

The Solitary Blossom

Under the vast sombre sky,
marooned by dull,sheenless wall,
imprisoned by cast iron gate,
a garden with a thousand blossoms.

Tall,lifeless trees beside
stood in rows and columns.
Leaves from their unsteady branches
wilted and fumbled in air.

Dusty,green leaves everywhere,
inhaled and exhaled the languid air,
zephyrs blew incessantly 'round,
causing gales of sorrow and solitude.

A thousand young flowers stood,
fluttered in zephyrs that blew,
fell to the ground one by one,
unable to endure the madness of gale.

Amidst the excruciating gale,
and the obscure,rancid air,
stood one blood red blossom
without bowing to the inclement wind.

Spines protruded in air,
from its meagre,long stalk,
to fight the obtruding gale,
withot heeding its infirmity.

Under the sky in the sequestered garden,
beautiful prisoners fell dead.
One brave blossom stood upright,
the red solitary blossom.

Moonlight

Shower Thee!Thy wealth,
to the greens that are black,
illuminating them,
heralding rejoice amidst dark.

Oh!rotund illusion,
how can I limn thy brilliance
through pen,for it
may disgrace Thy charm.

Maidens wake to sip the
sweetness of Thy milky nectar,
their eyes, fixed on Thee,
scoff the scorching Sun.

Thy short life,too transient,
engraves an eternal impression
deep in mind's obscure depths,
like a cascade of enamouring milk.

Thee,the solitary sailor,
plunge back to the horizon-
leaving a drop of tear in the eyes
and poignance in the heart.
