Anne Rutherford Poem
I will leave this earth as I came,
taking nothing.
But I leave some of myself.
My children,grandchildren and
all the smiles I gave,
Even to strangers I met and
didn't know.
The good words I gave when they
were needed,
Blessed not only me but the receiver.
Your path is preordained, your
steps are set.
Make sure you can say, you left your
footprints on this earth.
Then you will have truly been a
blessing to family and friends.

Anne Rutherford Poem
I was at a place I didn't want to be,
and was privileged to see angels
working around me.
The angels in heaven were praising
and singing, as the night angel
here on earth quietly was
comforting a lady here on this plane.
With a soothing voice ,the night
angel talked to reassure and
with a touch of a hand let her
know someone was there.
There also was a day angel ,as
busy as she was took time to
cool a hot brow, talk to this
sweet lady suffering her last
days, like she heard every word.
So give praise to God's angels
here on earth ,they do not look
like angels but angels they are.
So bless them do,
Nurses they are ,all around you.

Anne Rutherford Poem
On a stool she sat at Greatfather's
feet,
He feeding her ice cream as a
birthday treat.
Two years old sitting up straight,
to catch each yummy spoonful,
Mouths open both of them.,
as the ice cream goes in.
Sun shining brightly in the bay
window, leaving both in a cool-
shaded silhouette .
A random picture taken,
turns a sweet gesture into
a loving memory for the two
of them.
Immortalized now forever in time,
in a large frame,
on a table beside the big green
chair ,
Only he sits in.

This is a real picture my
grandson took ,shaded out the color,
framed it and gave to my husband.
A family treasure forever.

Anne Rutherford Poem
Arriving upon the heavenly shores,
Eyes wide, new sights everywhere.
Long ago family and friends warmly
greeting him.
Tears flow like a river, happy to be here,
Sad to leave loved ones down there.
Send an angel with a message,
say I will be here when your turn comes.
Remember you are only far from my touch,
Never far from my heart.
When your twilight comes, I'll be be waiting
to greet you my love.

Anne Rutherford Poem
With memories lodged in our hearts
and minds,
We laugh and remember all the silly things
that happened and cherish the
childhood years.
The bond formed long ago, sharing
parents, clothes, makeup and even shoes.
Sisters we are are but friends
we've become.
Now grown, with famlies of our own.
The bond of everlasting love and friendship
is a special treasure that only sisters
will keep into eternity.

Anne Rutherford Poem
she lived far away
the phone to communicate
first question asked
always check weather
then how are you doing now
a happy response
want her back again
two weeks for pleasure visit
wished for us again

Anne Rutherford Poem
A Great Lady
She made every summer happy and free,
with sleepovers out in the country.
She made sticky buns and lemon tea,
on her old wood stove just for me.
She had good words for one and all,
and a ear to listen to everyone woes.
She was warm, loving with a heart of gold,
A great lady, my Grandma.

Anne Rutherford Poem
Spring has burst forth with buds of all kinds,
With the promise of majestic leaves to blow in
the wind and shade this garden of mine.
Branches reaching up to the heavens, for solar
power of the suns rays.
Daffodils, crocus bursting up from their winter
bed to take the spotlight of spring time.
The rest of the garden waiting for April rains to
wash through the sweet earth with the fragrance
of flowers.
Butterflies to light on the pedals of marvellous colors
for nectar so sweet,
To fluter around and enjoy mother earth.
It happens every year , each time it's new and inspiring
to observe.
Sit back , enjoy the pleasures of rebirth,
Life is renewed in our gardens ,
Just as life is renewed within us.

Anne Rutherford Poem
Lonely Nights
A picture to say good night my honey,
no more sweet kisses.
A picture to hold, all I have left of you,
kept by my bedside.
No sweet embrace, left are memories
of my nights, shared with you.
