Sadly, I can so relate. An innocent souls poor lonely fate. The air's somehow not quite as fresh as day's when they were here. But this big world's been spinnig round long before we were born. So remember them there in our hearts and raise a cup of cheer. :)

This is an amazing write Anne! It's nice to read your poetry again, I haven't read any for a long time, it's refreshing! This poem speaks volumes when read between the lines, although says a lot when read literally too! Great Work!!
