8 Minutes

Diamonds scrape the surface of my skin
Leaving cuts that shine red ruby blood that follows
So addicting, beauty, what lies beneath us all
We search for this illusion
You stand an illusion yourself
Ticking time bombs rest at the bottom of this bodiless ocean
Take me higher, rising to the surface, waves crash, changes pull me under
Over and over I fall, over and over I fall
Like it's never happened before
I breathe in this water you call death
I'm surrounded by a sea that forever drowns
Even the moon couldn't pull me from this current
And I wait, I wait
At the bottom of this ocean
Apathy, oh apathy, no hate, just apathy
We all fall down
Now seeing blue skies
Open me up, breathe me in
My lungs full of smoke,
Breathe me in, I'll take you higher
Pull me out, I'll take you higher
I am yours to keep,
Take me higher

Generic Minds

generic minds listen to generic music
have generic thoughts that are unknowingly abusive
watch generic things talk about generic things
gee this generic *****is spreading like a disease
better get your flu shot
thats what they said to me
a suicidal vaccine
a subliminal killing spree
its contagious and the outrageous
thing about it is that the people are blind in an eye
that they didn't even know they had
it's sickening to watch these clueless civilians
inside the looking glass
with nightmares of being free
without a key to their mind
for it is trapped in the frequency
in the illusion of time
bathed in our universe
killing all that refuse to see
those that admit to hypocracy
or see the message in hip hop
how cant you see
the message in the lyrics that
bring adolescents to their knees
from bullet wounds conflicting their flesh
contradicting that they're the best
but the songs keep telling them that they dont need no rest
that they dont wanna go home
that they should ride alone
with the gat as their only companion
and so the only path they choose is the one that they're told
until they grow old and hope turns to a window pane
inside a window pane, until all they feel is pain
they realize that the music itself is ashamed
so whats to look up to
when you cant even speak when you cant even walk because you look so bleak
your eyes are sunken from the tv you're infested with the dee zees
now its too late to turn around and live for your conscious
so when youre screaming oh please
close your eyes and bring your mind to life
open your eyes for the first time
and never wonder why
since the answer this entire time
has been inside
and you better find it before you die
you dont want your soul to be in a pool with all the others
a buncha brothers missing their mothers
but only seeing strangers
only feeling the haters
wishing they would have used their minds when they had them
and now its too late,
now it's time for another new born fate to grab them

Let Go, Never Give Up

Another day passes by
Sun sets, Suns rise
Skies fly by
Parallel to the
Ambitious eye,
Lie in between what we are searching for
Truth is never certain, it seems that's
all they're searching for.
What we believe, we do become
Changing rules of the thumb
Looking far enough out
We're right back where we begun
My mind is spun
And i wont stop until you feel it.
Til it hits you, and you really feel it.
No questioning of the tongue,
How fast you run.
Moving slow so delirious,
Tides Rise
And we're here
And it's
Remained unquestionable
So memorable
Chokes you with sincerity
Comforts you in deprival
With everything against you
they tell you to let go,
But never give up,
Because the tides will turn.
They always do.

Holding the Sun

I grew up in a place I didn't want to be
Became someone that i knew i didn't want to be
Society grabbing me by the throat telling me to be me
But who are they to say that I should be what is not me?
Catastrophe shaking this world, leaving fault lines at the finish line
Scarred for what we have to look forward to
You can't put your soul on hold for all your past pretensions
Earthquakes changing the course of continuation
Throwing vibes from left and right
Hitting the pedal to ignite
What imperial dilemmas that arise from such despise
From what i know i'm just another reflection of disguise, who am i?
Those that float around with no worries in the world,
Don't care about the money, all they've got is what's gold
The people who kill, for power and respect
Dont realize what is out there is what's in the next step
And it's all in their head
We've got all of eternity
The tower of destruction that'll set us all free
Cause in the end we always find that there's another place to be;
physically or mentally.
People walking around with frowns carved into their faces
I wonder if theyll ever look up and see that they've been going places
All along,
Giving up falling down through the cracks of the ground
They're at fault for all loss that was among their own soul
Oh, its a cold world
As it slowly turns, im watching the clock tick as i feel the room burn
And its funny, that people try to play the game of constant manipulation,
Repeated deification.
Thinking they were born alive, but really,
They were only born to die.
No not everyone lives under the sun these days
A lot of those that fear thy own will fall pale in the shade
Under a dead willow
How we all want the sun because it's here for a reason
We all expect it to invest in the seasons
The government work of treason,
Throwing ropes to pull it down
Making this place so much hotter than it was when underground
I can't stand to be bothered by the burn that it's put on my wrist
From slamming this door shut, we've got to put an end to this
We're destroying what's inside ourselves cause of things on all the shelves
Yet he destroys, and he breaks, so we build
They take the money, and we run it while they kill
Although it's kinda funny that the state depends on pills,
I'll hold the sun and run away from all that's real.

Strings

back and forth,
running with a string
i dance, back and forth
flowing like a ribbon
the wings of a butterfly,
flapping endlessly
the songs that i sing
mimmick the life
beneath my skin
reveal the truth that's missing
try, to see my eyes
move, to see my pride
i am the endless flow
that lives alongside every moment
whether it's here or not
in every hidden escape
beyond the skies
that the insane have created
to arrange this line of seperation
this line of time
to decipher what is dead and what is alive
pulling me, i resist
i rise, slowly into the sun
resisting this motion
my senses inexistent
my aura, surrounding within
with wings like a dove,
soaring between clouds of coffins
picturing memories
that once existed somewhere
once before
back and forth,
stumbling,
i am being guided on a string
to soon collide
in a cosmic explosion
sweet memento mori
surrounding my frames
in flames,
these strings exist too
they are a part of me
a part of you
what have we got in common
is it the color of the string
or who is higher in the wind
who we can not see
what we do not believe
a point of certainty
resting between sanity and insanity
that the world has not yet reached

Dedication To the Dead

Your life inspired me.
Some dream of valuing something other than simplicity
You did the illusional, while others preferred delusional.
Not possible to copy you, not possible to forget you.
Even acoma would set me in a state of mind where our intentions collide,
where our friendship is felt through every touch,
every vibration.
If i were to awake, alone; inside you'd remain.
My heart full of confidence, my mind full of music.
Full of motionless realms brought on by peacefulness and pain.
Numbing to the soul.
Yet our bodies give up on us before we are ready
Yet our souls are anxious for a body of spreading seas
A body of worlds, and hesitant for a body of spiraling emptiness.

For we believe what hides our fears.
Until we retaliate, until we fight back,
at last we have experienced loyalty.

Life, full of unknown space.
Filled with subjects we cannot explain.
Complications override the essence of what should be risen,
and what shall one day fall.
Safe landings, unprepared for what's unknown.
Saving the past, retracing a circle,
leaving your time darker than before.
What can't be done, could begin a growth.
All we want is what is next, all we beg for is what we have.
Inside, we stand alone
surviving only from our hearts,
because of our mind

Take Me Out To Sea

Take me out to sea,
To swim among the fishes,
To glide between mountains,
To sail far from the break of this surf,
Take me out to sea,
Where I can set sail and be free,
No worries, just somewhere I can be me
Without being seen
Where things seem so calm,
After time and time again,
The steady winds roll me over this vast pool
This vast world, closer to the edge
Closer to the end, throwing anchors
Who's tails reach for the marianas trench
subduct my soul, my ship is swallowed
now alone, a turtle without it's shell
How will I survive?
I thought things would be so easy
So pleasant, at the shore
These travelogues and monologues
Displaying beauty around the world,
With sands running for miles
I said take me out to sea
To better me with beauty
to help me see the calmness of the sea
With the breeze through my skin
and the salt settling in,
Why aren't things as they seem?
The surge rises and falls,
Well I have seen the unpredictable,
I was taken out to sea to meet the ocean inside of me

Grasping Light

What do you want
What is it that you need
Forget your life envision
Let it go and feel what you bring

Whether it's wrong to them
Whether it's right for you
You're the solution to your own catastrophe
You're the problem between the black and blues

Love will find a way
Have patience, be grateful
Not dead, not hateful
Quixotically underrated, and truly alive

Occasionally in disguise
For the devil tends to come uninvited, a mere surprise
Fool yourself several times til you return again,
Be true to your future heaven, respect the angels and dont forget they ride til the end
Because when it's all over, there will be no time for debating
Negative space for contemplating

Mistakes titled space and time crumpled into a trash bin
Creating a massive black hole
Welcoming you with a familiar smile telling you to come on in
Turn your back and lift within the light
for the truth you may see isn't always true
the future is potentially bright
Like the angel Marley says
Every little thing is going to be all right
Fly away with the blue birds
Over the rainbow out of sight
They told you you amounted to nothing
And now you're controlling the light

Peace Sun

I woke up this morning and said a prayer for you,
the sun shines through my blinds and it's a shame i can't be there with you
your heart beat creates earthquakes,
your tears bring the rain,
and for the second time it has flooded here again
I'm sorry if i disappointed you,
I'm sorry if i ever lied,
because what i'd do to go back would mean
i could reverse the time that you died.
sick to my stomach i can't bear the thought,
but when the sun shone through this morning
it brought a peaceful thought back to my heart
through out each day i kneel down and pray
and know you're living in the sky
I try making wishes from stars flying by
but the sight must be quicker then the blink of my eye
i'll never know why,
til it's my time to go,
I look around this city realizing all friends are faded foes
I can't hold on, i hold it within,
it is my faith in peace that keeps me from disintegrating within.

The Spark

It was overwhelming, it was lovely
It was my definition of forever, it was empowering
I spread it into the sea
Into space, time, and everything in between or beyond
I spread it into their souls
I spread it throughout the forgotten dimensions

Betrayal, a curve ball
Unexpectedly knocking me from this universe
I floated, away from everything i had seen
I was spread, beyond the city
I was spread, further from the seas

Closer to the bottom
The light became dim
The light became an illusion
The truth had been unfolded beneath
Like a trench, eager to sub duct innocence of loyalty
For I had traveled so far...

The spark, what is now a burden
What now burns
For once, it lit the way
It guided the way that the mind created
The illusion we were eager to find

Now all that is left
And of course,
Only the foolish search for the spark
