And

And the darkness spreads the light,
And the people they cower in fright.
The darkness falls, and they’re all alone,
And they all know that they’re owned.
And then the light comes beaming in!
And the people know that they can’t win.
Then the light burns out their souls.
Leaves nothing in the world, just black coals.

And the moon shines onto the sun!
The sun’s lights go out, one by one.
In and out, to and fro, and then the fireflies, they go.

And the world’s lights are gone, and the people have died.
The darkness has won and the wisdom has lied.
The light has perished and the people are lost.
The result it garish, and then the darkness is tossed
Aside by the nothing that makes its way
In through the night and out through the day.
The nothing is nothing and nothing shall stay.

Draw a Picture In the Blood

If you live in the memories you’ll never see the future.
They say don’t make history repeat but it always does.
They tell you to choose your friends wisely but you can’t.
You can’t change the future, so just draw a picture in the blood.

I’ll keep on living in the past, and I’ll wonder:
Where did all the music go? Where did all the time go?
Where did all the love go? Where did all the thought go?
If I shut my eyes, will it still be the same?
When I open them again, will anything remain?
If I open the gate of stars looking for the answers, I know I won’t find any,
So I’ll just draw a picture in the blood.

War is a harsh creature; the only thing it makes is death.
If I move on I’ll lose the memories, the precious memories,
Of all those good times we had.
So I’ll just sit here dwelling in the past so I won’t forget.
I’ll always live the memories again and again
Because I can always remember if I
Draw a picture in the blood.

Death’s pain is unforgiving; you can’t know it until you’ve felt it.
There’s no way that you can win so just stop.
All you can ever get, all you can ever feel, is regret, so why try?
Why risk losing the memories, never to find them again,
If you can relive the good ones?
Why bother moving on, all you’ll find is another harsh time.
I couldn’t bear living through it again,
Replacing you is impossible because there is no match.
If there was, losing you again would kill me.
So I’ll stay safe from the pain and
Draw a picture in the blood.

Pictures of my memories! When times were good,
Before I left, before you died.
Before the wisdom lied, when happiness reined my life.
That happiness is exactly what you’ll see if you come and look at the
Pictures I’ve drawn in the blood.

The Point of Never

Let your fear, let your anger take over,
Let your heart begin to whither,
Let your eyes begin to dull,
Let go of life, do not fear never (the point of never),
Let your spirit diminish, let your memories loose! (give them away)
‘Cuz this is the time when we ourselves fade to grey.

CHORUS:
Am I living in somebody else’s dream?
Have I reached the point of never?
The point at which I find the twisted memories,
The piece of hearts,
The soulless eyes,
The lies within every truth,
The point where forever ends,
The point when your fear, when your anger takes over.
Have I reached the point of never?

Let the light from your eyes begin to fade,
When you begin to die there’s no escape,
Not when your destiny had been written,
Not when it has been written in stone.
I will not come back, not at all, no not ever,
When finally I reach the point of never.

Today is the day I’ve been waiting for.
It’s my funeral, my body is gone.
As my soul dies, the past begins to fade,
And although nobody ever tries,
I’ll call upon the raven, in him I’ll confide.
And then I’ll ask his why the wisdom has lied.

...Shhh...

Let’s honor them, They, who were pushed down just not too long ago.
Let’s honor them, because We are Their friends.
Let’s honor them, because We are like Them. They are like Us.
Our friends are Them.
Let’s honor them
By being silent,
With a silence like the wind.

My Side of the Universe

I take a star and throw it at the sky.
It makes a hole, the hole it a door.
I go through the door and I see a night sky.
This night sky is a deep purple,
But it is still the night just the same.
There I meet a man,
He is a blade of grass, just as tall and just as thin.
He tells me the objective is not to win but to try,
To try to learn.
I tell him I learn much in school,
He tells me that soon I will understand.

I take a blade of grass and throw it at the ground,
The dirt conforms into a hole, a door into another world,
So through the door I go,
I look down to see a tree in which I am standing.
The tree starts to move and the branches to wave.
The tree starts to speak:
“Listen to your heart, it will tell you what to do.”
I tell the tree that my parents make the rules,
And he assures me that I will soon understand.

I take a leaf from the tree and throw it at my hand.
My hand becomes a hole, a door.
Through the door I go.
I look up to see that there is nothing here yet.
The color is not black or white, not green or blue.
This place is colorless.
I look up and see that this one it a world to be.
So I draw the pictures of this world,
I sky of navy and clouds of gray, I sit atop them.
Stars shinning like little pieces of the sun.
This is the new world,
This new world is mine,
This new world is me.

Sound In the Light

Listen to the light that so deftly surrounds you.
Like the night it holds onto everything, it holds on to you.
Watch and wait and listen for the sounds you are bound to hear,
Sit down on the rain and turn an ear, just one ear,
So that you will hear the sound in the light.

Dream's World

The dreams come along, hand in hand.
Wait for the dreamer to come again.
Watch as the grass is blown and the leaves made fall,
And the dead memories collect at my feet.

Once in every little while the dreamers would come again.
Now just one is left,
For there are no others with the compassion and imagination to dream
For the world has stopped turning,
For the fire keeps on burning in their souls hotter now than ever before.
But this one is a little boy who will pick up anything.
Any dream that comes his way, he will dream it again.

Now he’s an old man and there’s just one dream left.
He goes to his world, Dream’s World, every night to dream.
He’s nearly there, but he falls down, weary and bleeding.
Will nobody help the poor old man?
Suddenly he sees a blood red stream, and next to it lies a bottle of purple potion.
He crawls over to drink this concoction, his last hope.
He lifts the bottle to his lips to take a sip, and the last dream calls out in warning.
But it’s too late for Dream, the last dreamer,
It’s too late for a happy ending, he already drank the poison.
Now the last dream is stuck forever, no dreamers will ever come again.
There’s no story left to tell so I guess it’s safe to say that this is the end.

Why

the branches sway like arms
as they reach for the sky.
longing to go up into the atmosphere,
to go where the stars hit the sky,
to see a shining rainbow up there,
way up high.
wonder why it likes that altitude,
i wish i could know why.

Tears of Blood

The cloud cries tears of rain,
The tree cries tears of leaves.
The roses cry tears of petals,
But I cry tears of blood.

This feeling, you don’t know it,
It’s like being stabbed in the heart
With a knife.

What are cloud without rain?
What are trees without leaves?
What are roses without petals?
What am I without blood,
What am I without eyes?

The clouds are nothing.
The trees are nothing.
The roses are nothing,
But I am dead.

Is it better to be dead or to be nothing?
I do not know, although I feel that I should.

I Wonder

I wonder how it got there, I wonder how it lost its way.
I wonder why it sits there with not a friend today.
I wonder, did it fall like Alice fell from above?
I wonder why it sits by itself, all alone in the mud.
I wonder will it move next week, I wonder will it move tomorrow.
I wonder will it still be there the next day, I wonder if it has control.
I wonder if it has debt to repay, I wonder if it has hope that was borrowed.
I wonder if it wants to move, I wonder, does it want to stay?
I wonder why all the things we think,
I wonder, why are they all unknown?

I wonder why we think that we are meant to be here,
when in fact we are not.
I wonder why we think that we are always meant to sacrifice
the things we want no more.
I wonder why we always want someone to complain to,
I wonder why we always want somebody to be there.

I wonder why it has no one, I wonder if it did lose its way.
I wonder if it wants friends.
Does it want to be alone?
