Monique Severin Poem
I was a young mother
17 or younger
She was a blessing
10 fingers...10 toes...
A new beginning
A child with perfection
I never feared rejection
But as years have gone by
I just want to cry
What has gone wrong
It has been so long
Only a phone call away
No response today
Mother and daughter
Left lost and alone
I would so treasure
Those 10 fingers...10 toes...
Another new beginning
Would again make me whole

Monique Severin Poem
Remember when it was you and me
We always thought it would be
Our lives have taken a different turn
But please don't worry cause I still yearn
One day sweetheart, I hope you see
I was only trying to be me
I know you love me but cannot tell
Cause that would be opening your heart again.
I drive and listen to the radio
My heart sinks just to know
Life without you is just so slow...
My heart skips a beat... so please don't let go
I dream of you in my arms
Holding on to my lucky charm
Thinking maybe you'll come back to me
Opening your arms and hugging me
These are my words and my thoughts
I hope you can hear them with all your heart
How do you let go of someone you love
I just don't know how when push comes to shove
I cannot tell you what to do
But please consider my feelings too
Remember I love you and you cannot be replaced
I want to give you a warm embrace
How ever long it takes you
Hopefully you will let me come and love you
My heart awaits
So please don't wait!
Please don't forget me
Remember me!
