Eyes of Greeen and Eyes of Brown

Meeting first though through a screen,
Eyes of brown saw eyes of green.
Then the sense of love was known,
Between eyes of green and eyes of brown.
The years that followed were serene,
For eyes of brown and eyes of green.
Then cruel fate began to frown.
On the eyes of green and eyes of brown.
Great distance now there was between.
Eyes of brown and eyes of brown.
Tears of sadness now poured down,
From eyes of green and eyes of brown.

Old One Hundred

The whistle blast, the hiss of air,
To one and all they do declare,
Old one hundred has left the station,
On shiny ribbons, once crossed the nation.
It proudly pulls number twenty five,
One of the few to still survive.
Designated four,six two,
Of wheels has it quite a few.
Its six foot drivers provide the power,
While on the country cinders shower.
Its stack emitting a plume of gray,
Old one hundred still has its day.
So renown this steed of iron
They really should build it a cairn.
But one hundred’s fate’s been cast,
Its vital need has long been past.
Will its fate be so unjust,
It must become a pile of rust.
Luckily there is no sorrow,
For starting immediately tomorrow,
Old one hundred will still pull a train,
Through sunlight, mist or even rain,
Filled with people who laugh and scream,
Happy to be pulled by steam.

Dreamers

Mysteriously you came,
So alone, so wanting love,
Yet too frightened to accept it.

Once you let us take you in,
You became our companion,
Our lover.
Constantly with us,
Healing the breach an indiscretion had forged.

Years of happiness we shared,
Before evil struck you.
So wanting to remain,
You struggled to cling to life.

One day you cuddled close,
Fell asleep in my arms,
Never again to awaken.

Now my beloved also sleeps,
Dream together my dear ones.

Dispair

Upon the water black and cold,
A flower floats the tale was told.
Fingers plucked it from her hair,
And in despair had tossed it there.
Colors once alive and bright,
Faded in the pale moonlight.
She stands alone, so slim so bold,
Expressing anger so very old.
Her naked body so white, so fair,
Shivers in the cool night air.
Like a specter in the night,
Mist reflects an eerie light.
Quickly rising to enfold,
The pure body that she has sold.
Once she lived without a care,
Her plight is now so hard to bear.
One step, so quick there is no fright,
She leaves the world of pale moonligh
