A vague sin

The thorn of the black rose
pierced my skin.
Causing blood to drip off my finger
And blanket the magnolia...

vicariously through my mind

volatile observation suspended amidst reality and fiction, subdued voice echoes down a hallway of convictions; like a despotic fog blurring options for a swarm of insects who eventually finds way to a lizard's grotesque carcass. a feeling, in my gravel ribs, this might be a dead end staring up at the sky, an atheist's hollow vision; air and venom flowing through wires of flesh, tired abusive drunkards- returning home a mess. my dear texts~"what if, it's nothingness which spirals into life?" I am left in my bathtub with a glass of honey or wine, and the last ray of optimism, living vicariously through my mind.

Escape

I have always adored the wind.
But today felt so different,
The nature and my mind conflicted,
sensed the oppression,
and the urge to leave and escape.

Bidding farewell to all those whom I love.

That is when I realised, the reality I believed,
is so much distant from what it meant to be.
Painters along with their paintings, wait for the sun to shine
and drive away the clouds of misery.
But I'm a painter of my life, I need not wait for individuality.

But how shall I leave? Making sure it goes unnoticed...

Should I borrow the pink bicycle of my neighbour?
who though sometimes rude, may do the favour.
Then off I'll go, cycling round and round,
in the pristine green fields under the clouds,
and to that lake where no one is allowed.

I will dissociate into nothingness.

If I disappear, promise not to search for me.
Turn around and leave for home.
On your way, the butterflies may greet.
Watch the sunset, shower the familiar love to those flowers and trees,
In their fragrance, you may find me.

Never wanted to let a lover down.

Only if I knew to say that- I admire you.
But I have admired everything, all at once.
And all those things gave me a reason to escape.
For love is sweet and silence sweeter,
But freedom is the sweetest of all.

Hindsight 20 20

Reminiscing through the album of perpetuity,
I came across a thorn that kissed my skin,
and murmured into my soul, a powerful stance,
stitching soft whispers in exquisite cadence.

The thorn tried to remind me,
of how adoration trickled down my hearth of pain.
And my eyesight gradually changed,
to bring serenity to all I once cherished.

I remember a rose used to enlighten me,
"You, my dear, possess some conscientious abilities
like conferring life to a bed of lifeless roses,
or finding beauty in subtle proses."

But when chaos dissipated in atmosphere,
Life changed to a burden
Ignoring it's selflessness,
forgetting to water all such roses.

The only timeless entity,
Observing the eternal silence,
the universe spoke like the void of my mind
I questioned; what part of me is to leave behind...

-------------------------------------------- - - - -

An answer received at an instant;
The part stuck in loops of imprisonment
searching frantically for solace
in the void of broken guaranteed promises.

Realisation dissociates into calmness.
Your mind has always belonged to you.
but still locked behind the bars
your self esteem is the only thing that scars.

And all that time I was lured by greed,
Made me despise my imperfections...
Blinded by unrealistic standards,
stained with society's expectations.

Petite eyesight firms with reality.
"I am so better than them who are suffering",
Them who search for bread crumbs left to eat
Yet with a smile resist defeat.

I preserved my rose in formalin,
with its love rushing through my skin.
Promising to withstand till again we meet,
your words echo through my mind: "you can do it"

Space Between Stars

watching through the lenses
rubies of midnight sky
connected like red threads
stained with night's dye

thousands of miles apart
thousands of lives in between
the blind connection remains
like messages left unseen

minimal yet eternal void
bridged with untold memories
the love and the hatred
the reliefs and the worries

stories to remember through years
of how the stars waited eagerly
praying the space in-between to decline
so they could collide eternally...

When I Die

When I die, make sure you hold me till the very end
Do hold me in your arms, while I fade away.
When I die, let those know, who doubted me in my misery
That I loved them, and didn't let down the judgmental society.
When I die, command them not to forget me,
After all the hardships I faced to set them free.
When I die, wrap me around your motherly scent,
Kiss my temple for a meaningful end.

------------

Hopes high,
hands tight,
Look up at the sky.

A straight line,
familiar frequency,
Look down to bid goodbye.

Self Esteem

When you bother yourself with things you can not do,
You forget what you can.
When you hide the real you behind the curtains of your inability,
You break the confidence you built for years
Into pieces, to be fed to your growing ego.
And then, do you feel different?
Lose yourself slowly in this world of acceptance?
Weakness turned you to an unknown man
Less of rectification and more of the hidden.
All of your self esteem locked inside that cabinet
Whose key has been melted, to build those chains
That hold you in captive.

Solace

Where do you find that feeling?
The one which cures my mind,
Of every possible unspoken anxiety
Holds me together like a powerful adhesive,
Makes me smile all through healing.
It holds power- almost infinite
Makes my heart crave and die
Can you see? I think it's missing from my life...
Or maybe from the world where we are held
As insane captives.
Every home and house is looking about it
But aren't aware what they are searching for...
And hardly ever speaks
I am sorry I let you go, spare me another chance?
As I fall weak on my knees, I beg you,
Dear solace, please come back to me.

Where do You find Hope?

A dear friend of mine,
waited eagerly for me, one Sunday,
as I walked by, she asked me a question;
"Where do you find hope?"
I was caught off guard,
my eyes blinked, and time moved slow,
I felt subdued, it was something,
I indeed didn't know.

She smiled and smiled,
As if this was all a test,
Called me a wasted fool ,
And went away.
I felt illiterate, and thought silence
Could fetch some respect,
and save me from the embarrassment.

Now I stand there for her,
Every Sunday expecting her to come back
and clarify, but she never does so,
I think I understand why,
Maybe she lost hope,
and couldn't find her in the address she was sure of,
And realised she was wrong.

She is afraid I might accuse her of lying,
Just as much as I was afraid to answer in first place.
