My Love, My Friend

I found you at last my love my friend
Never will we be alone again
Every day is bright and new
A new beginning for me and you
Two parts of a loving whole
Two hearts, and a single soul
The years will pass and we’ll grow old
Together a love to have and hold
Gentle hands though weathered and worn
Holds strong through life’s troubled storms
I’m glad I met you my love my friend
I’ll love you forever and beyond life’s end

Because You'Re You

Because You’re You
The little things you do each day
means much more than I can say

Strong and gentle your rugged hands
Reaches for me to help me stand

Your tender touch so soft and warm
Protects me from all life’s storms

Forever our bond will never cease
It touches my heart and gives me peace

Your so special and years too few
Forever, I love you because you’re you

Brothers Love

The pain in your eyes we will no longer see
You’re with your master, no illness to flee
You are with your loved ones in the city of gold
Jesus’s outreached arms, a joy to behold
A young life cut short, life’s meaning was gone
The loneliness overwhelming, but you must carry on
The time has come to see him again
With a silenced heart you reached for his hand
Beautiful melodies, love all around
Soft voices of angels, how beautiful the sound
You’ll be missed so very much
Sons and Grandchildren no more to touch
We will carry on with you in our hearts
Until our day comes this earth to depart

In remembrance of my brother
April 30, 1937-December 6, 2004

Myvictory

In this prison I now reside
Ready to put my fears aside
Shielded from all hurt and rejection
I hide inside my walls of protection
Inside this mass is a is my fearful soul
release me from its gripping hold
The anxiety is numbing, the pain is real
To step outside my circle of fear
This new path I follow will be for me
A new beginning I will see
To conquer this challenge day by day
I grow stronger every step of the way
To face the world unshielded at last
Gives me the strength to bury the past

My Dream

My Dream
One thing in life for which I long
Before time is up and I am gone
Love and companionship until the end
No more lonely nights to spend
Trusting and trust worthy he must be
To walk this journey of life with me
Gentle loving hands to hold
May time be kind as we grow old
The wait for you so long it seems
Soft spoken , confident, My rock, my dream
I’ll treasure the moment that my heart lifts
Should I be blessed with this wonderful gift
