Ayomikun Crown Poem
Nothing is as beautiful as watching the sun set in its splendor and radiance.
Nothing is so natural as watching the nature blossom in its peacefulness.
The birds singing in their sonorous voices.
The trees and plants blowing their bugles and trumpets and flutes.
The ocean flowing in its stillness and coolness,
making a harmonious melody to the soul.
Nothing is as sacred as a secret, bounding together for the fear of betrayal.
Nothing is as adorable as a treasure.
All this put together would not be able to quantify what it means to express what you have
been
to my life and world.
Oh! Behold my beautiful maiden, lonely on the hills of melancholy
and with her sonorous voice she sings
chanting for a missing Adonis.
In you I have found peace, joy and happiness.
A treasure I have found in you and that means more than the world to me.
This, I have longed for, and this I have found,you!
Like the snail I was,
I withdrew to my shell and said i would not come out again from my shell
but the first rain of the new season has sent my snail out again roaming its tentacles
in the coolness of the fresh air.
The beauty that others couldn't find on her face,
I have found in her heart.
That was why they couldn't find the treasure that i have found in her.
They call her princess but i call her a queen.
They call her a friend, I call her a companion.
They call her a woman, I call her a mother.
They call her a girl but i call her a wife.
They said she is weak, but in her i have found my strength.
In her I have built a beautiful world where only the two of us would live comfortably
without the disturbance or interference of this wicked world.
I would live comfortably in this world i have built with you forever if you wont kick me out
because without you, this world all put together is meaningless and vague to me.

If I am to describe beauty,
if I am to describe the beauty that I have found in you, then I will start, saying...
Lilies are beautiful, the most beautiful of all flowers that i have ever seen.
Peacocks are gorgeous, the most adorable bird I have seen.
The bead-like snake is amazing and fascinating that
none of its species could match up to its radiance and splendor.
The rainbow no match with its carefully selected colors, outlining the sky.
Yet, I have not seen anything as beautiful as you or everything that you have made out of
me
from the day you have come into my life.
I do not aspire to be perfect anymore because in you i have found perfection.
I shall not aspire to be loved anymore because in you I have found Love in the excess of it.
All I just wanna say to the whole world is that you are loved.
If the elephant wishes, let it go into the jungle.
if the snail pleases, let it forget its shell and walk naked
When the talking drum travels, let its jingles follow it wherever it pleases.
All can go away and I will not be shaken as long as you are not going anywhere,
I am more than pleased..

A rare kind of woman,
A creation made differently from other creations
by the Creator.
Thank you for enduring the pains
it took to bring me into this world
and nurturing me with all I could ever need to
survive the hurdles and challenges of life.

To my Mother, unique and irreplaceable
In you I have found womanhood personified
Blessed of God and cherished by humans
Thank you for giving me all the supports
...and guiding me
lovingly correcting me when mistaken
So as not to derail in my journey in life.
Thank you!!!
To my Mother, a jewel immeasurable.
Carved by the greatest craftsman
into an awesome piece of artwork
Thank you for standing by me
Through all the pains i caused you,
making sure that I made the right decisions
and finding my path in life.
Thank you!!!
To my Mother, a true mother, wife, sister and friend
Thank you for standing and building the family
when the tempest of life almost carried it away.
You had an option, as a beautiful woman,
to have abandoned us and moved on with your life,
when the temptation and pain almost became
...unbearable but you did not.
Thank you!!!
Mummy, if there would be another world
and an opportunity to make a choice in the next life,
the only thing I would ask the Sovereign Lord
is to be your son again.

I was just going through the motions
With no real emotions
Feeling lost, maybe confused
And more than a little bruised
Then suddenly there's you
And my life is so brand new
No longer I'm alone
In your arms I want to find my home
And I'm thankful for every minute
Because someway you are in it
And my heart is filled with you
You're in my head and all I do
You're the one that I adore
And every day I love you more
How can I make you see
That you mean the world to me
All I have are words to show I care
And my promise I'll always be there
And all that I am is all I can give
Because you are my reason to live

The cloud was thick and dark.
The rainbow has refused to come up in the sky
The sun of all would not even shine anymore.
There are no traces of a star in the sky.
Suddenly, like an angel, she appeared from
amidst the thickness of the clouds, she came forth
bringing with her the rays of hope and faith and joy.
Little did I know this hope wasn't going to last.
If I had knew, would I have built a beautiful world around you?
Would I have made you the pillar of my strength and joy?
Would I have allowed myself to be carried away,
If I knew it was going to be short-lived?
I fell for the deceit of assurance over again.
Then I realize how painful it is to see those we truly love
walk out of our lives.
There ain't anything as painful as it, but you know,
What pains the most is when they make us believe they love us
when in the real sense of it, they don't!

I have given up on life, I have resigned to fate,
thinking I could not have found it, love.
I tried but could not just make it work.
All the best I thought was my dedication
turned to work out against my desire.
All I wanted was to find that one woman meant for me
As much as I tried, I couldn't just make it happen.
Then I thought I was just not good enough.
And I wondered how other people do it.
I wonder how they make it happen.
To me, it is a miracle that is unattainable.
How they live so happily in love.
I always wondered but felt it was not meant for me to have a feel of.
An object of mockery for others I became
because a lonely life i was living
Then suddenly...
Out of the blues you appeared,
all clothed in white robe.
You made straight towards me and i wondered who you were
Then I looked again and then realized who you are
I realized you are my Angel of love.
I thought I was dreaming
then you called my name and i realized it was not a dream
The value of my patience was found in you
Then I realized loving would not have been better if it was not with you.
In you I have found joy, peace and dignity.
In you I have found all the woman I have ever wanted.
Then I realized I could not have been more luckier.

Why say you love me,if you cannot prove that love?
How is that your professions of love hurts?
You would always be there for me I heard you say
But your heart is already departed from me
You would give your heart to me, and me alone
How is it possible when mine has been shattered by you?
What is your prove of love to me?
If you abandon me every time I am in dear need of you?
Happy I am supposed to be, having found a damsel like you
Your beauty turns to be a curse more than a blessing
I must have been blindfolded by your astonishing beauty
What is beauty without charisma and a good heart?
I sit here, thinking when beauty and ugliness became allies.
You tell me of what a profitable venture you are
Undoubtedly, you ought to be to any man
How I wonder if it ever occurred to you,
A pain in my life you are and yet I am enduring
Foolishness some said; what love could make man do
You would always support me I have heard you say countlessly
Now I wonder if you meant to say you would
live your life on me
I am thin and weary of your weight!
I endure because I want to make a companion out Of you
That was all I wanted you to be
It is like when I wake up everyday thinking
Your love has brought me nothing but pains
Just trying to please the essence of love,
Makes loving you so difficult
Real beauty my dear, is not glamour,
Real beauty is candor
Real beauty is me; originating from within
For every pain you have caused me, smoothened me
Evey tears you have made me shed, strengthened me
And every heartache, beautifies me
Now I am a piece of a finished artwork
You're just done with and now so useless and ugly
And I am just tired of living this ugly life with you
Now you are by-gone because you are
worn-out and old.

Beauty, very pleasant and fascinating
Nature, the evidence of beauty and alluring
Two creations rarely found together
The most blessed experience would be to
find these two merge together into one.
Beauty goes beyond the outward looks
Nature, beyond watching the trees and the ocean
Two definitions that are rarely defined
The greatest puzzle that is certain to make
mankind happy if and when solved.
Beauty, the inner assurance of satisfaction
Nature, the unheard voice of peace
Two confidants that we seem to
always neglect and forgo for uncertainty
Whereas, they just wish we acknowledge them.
Until you are able to harness together,
The beauty in nature; the naturality in beauty
You would not be able to appreciate either
...Beauty or Nature.

I have been looking for someone like you
Someone to turn my life around
Someone to make me feel that way I use to
and always feel.
But she never came
I have searched so long for you
Now that I have found you,
I will do anything to be around you
To smell your perfume, to hold you close
Give you the assurance of things yet to be
Say those words that I have looked for someone
to say them to and have not found till now
To smile with you and see the bright future in your eyes
I have wondered for so long, would she ever come?
And now, I have found you,
the one I have been looking for
I have kept my faith and hoped
I has said I would do anything just to fall
...in love again
If you would allow me, now that I have found you,
I would give anything just to fall in love with you
That has been what I wanted from the beginning
Now that I have found you,
I will never let you out of my life again
...never!

Vanity upon vanity they say this life is.
So many years on earth and one goes yonder,
Vanity.
A beautiful flower and it blossom no more,
Vanity.
But is life worth living?
Hmm... Some said no, some said yes.
and silent I remain.
Like the flowing of a river, I seek,
Seek for the right answer to a question
as heart troubling and disturbing as this.
Like the many years it took to build
the temple of the Lord.
In those years I waited, patiently waiting.
Waiting for what? waiting for answers.
Then from no where she came forth,
an Angel I am sure she is but without wings
She came with the speed of lightning
and she engulfed my life.
...then the answer came.
It is not vanity when you have
someone to die for.
It is not vanity when you have
someone to die for you
It is not vanity when there is
someone to fight for
It is not vanity when there is
someone to fight for you.
It is not vanity when you sleep and you are
Rest assured that your heart is safe.
Although, so many years have I waited, but,
It is not vanity after all
'cause I have you.
