Demise Me Not

Death welcomes me, yet I live

Death By a Shadow of Despair

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
My soul escapes me swiftly like a running mare
Galloping into the night, I’m left not the same
My thoughts elude me yet I track them like madness
I pursue an empty dream to save who I am
Hoping sheer willpower will remove the blankness

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
A black hole which could suck me out of existence
this ailment which inflicts me, I cannot repair
Like the devils hand laying its influence
Prayer cannot save my soul from the nothingness
I will be erased from existence regardless

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
It's into my brain like nothing to compare
Forget a word; I’m left to ponder what it was
Repeat this word; it is a fate not to applause
Forget a face and I will feel miserable
Remembering all that I was, I am unable

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
Time has become an enemy I can't destroy
A trap set deep inside me, ready to ensnare
I have not the means to fight or the will to ploy
Only this emotion coming out like a blast
I want this feeling of pride to become my last

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
Memories fading, I feel like pulling my hair
What shall I become, a puppet cut from his string
I do not wish to have this life any longer
The tension present, ready to burst like a spring
What must be done to rid me of this forever?

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
This veil that cannot be lifted, I must beware
The danger to lose myself becoming too great
I must end my life so to determine my fate
Before I become lost and forget this notion
To condemn myself might bring about redemption

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
I stare death in its face, it's not the least bit fare
What awaits me in after life, I cannot say
Yet I must believe that death is the solution
It is like a song I have chosen to play
I must dance forward, leaving my bones to ashen

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
As to how much I forgot, I’m left unaware
I have given up on the life I could not save
Already I can smell the damp earth of my grave
I can only judge the moment ripe for my death
As I stare at the sky one last time, one last breath

Darkness clouds my mind like a shadow of despair
I brave death so I may feel what its like to fly
This will be the last time I forget, I swear
I will find my freedom as I soar through the sky
As I stare down the cliff, the perch of my demise
Joy enters my hearth, for I have found my solace

Nightly Presence

Once upon a time I saw night like day
Having no fear from absence of daylight
Sun or moon, I enjoyed both in the same way
Loved the coming of stars in the twilight
Peaceful became dread like the greatest sin
Fearing not the dark but what lurks within
Hidden well from sight are those beings that wait
Existing between the folds of darkness
They are not obvious, made dark like hate
They invite the warmth to leave for coldness
Truly frightful to meet one yet sublime
Creatures of night never seen from daytime
Hardly ever felt at night, so beware
The shadows held no secrets once before
But one dreadful night, I chanced upon it
Ghost! Might sound ridiculous I admit
Yet it was as real as the moon lit dime
Glaring from the desk, like a great comic
My hearth skipped a beat for the first time
My brain urgently forwarding logic
I could not focus on its form on first sight
It stood in the gloom capturing no light
A presence which started out as a blur
Hairs stood on ends at the ghostly figure
Stillness became my only objective
Confronted by him I could not believe
The apparition was there yet not there
Seeming to take form within the darkness
Seeing through him like glass, he seemed harmless
Spirit or ghost I did not know for sure
Scared witless as I was I could not say
My only thought, how to keep him at bay
The specter was then kneeling near my feet
We stared at each other for a long time
To have seen him almost felt like a crime
As if we were never suppose to meet
I could make out his figure very clear
Sadness filled his eyes, removing my fear
It seemed to be pleading, but not with words
A Cheever ran along me like a sword
Are ghosts unable to make any sound?
He seemed ready to howl like a hound
Suddenly, a hand rose towards my face
This disturbing movement hard not to miss
My eyes strained to follow the fathom hand
As it swooped towards me, unstoppable
Ghosts can’t be stopped; it’s the law of the land
To make him gone, I felt incapable
I hid under covers for protection
Shutting my eyes from this confrontation
Uttering in my head, be gone, be gone
Until morning light chased away the dread
I never saw a ghost ever again
My conscience being as heavy as led

Eternal

Dearest Ayanna
Exquisite aura
Lovely flower
I’m yours forever
To the ends of time
And back again I’m,
Yours sincerely
For eternity.

Embace Destiny

My love, when will we meet at last?
My sweet, when may I hold your hand?
Let this yearning be of the past
These emotions are deep and grand

Let us grasp ourselves, forever
Trade, loving kiss for loving kiss
You and I always together
Trade blissful time for equal bliss

Embrace me always with your love
You sing to me like we are one
Spread your wings and fly like the dove
Let all worry’s and fear be gone

If you hand over, hearth and soul
You shall extract mine in return
Let our love ripen like the foul
Embrace me, let our fire burn

Let my lips fill yours in passion
Let our love become almighty
Let our love turn to obsession
Let our love last eternity.
