Gold and dust

In the maze of concrete and glass,
where tall buildings reach the sky,
rivers of money flow,
but only to the chosen few.

Below, a shadowy city exists,
filled with hard work and grime,
where dreams are just whispers,
lost in the cracks of old streets.

The rich, wrapped in fine clothes,
dance to the tune of hidden power,
leaders of a silent orchestra,
playing a song of silence and control.

Their laughter, touched with champagne,
drowns out the cries from below,
where rough, tired hands,
reach for fleeting hopes.

Halls of influence, slick with promises,
echo with the steps of the elite,
their words, hidden daggers,
cutting through the truth.

In this theater of lies,
curtains of wealth hide
the machinery of greed,
oiled by the sweat of unseen millions.

From high-rise penthouses,
they look down on a sea of struggle,
where the hungry feast on illusions,
and the thirsty drink from wells of despair.

Marble palaces stand tall,
monuments to ambition,
while shanties lean on faith,
held up by pillars of resilience.

Markets buzz with chaos,
colors blend in the bazaar of life,
where the weight of a single coin
can tip the balance of existence.

Yet, the streets remember,
each cobblestone a witness,
to the dance of disparity,
the waltz of inequality.

Children of the dusk,
eyes wide with innocence,
navigate the alleys of shadows,
their dreams painted in hues of maybe.

In the rooms where fortunes are made,
decisions are inked in secrecy,
pacts that seal destinies,
unseen hands shaping the world.

But in the heart of the storm,
a murmur grows,
a rhythm of defiance,
beating against the pulse of oppression.

Voices rise, a chorus of unity,
challenging the gilded throne,
for in the contrast of gold and dust,
lies the spark of revolution.

The streets, arteries of rebellion,
pulse with the lifeblood of change,
as the fabric of corruption
begins to fray at the edges.

In the end,
from the ashes of greed,
a new dawn will rise,
where the scales of justice
find their balance,
and the city of gold
is built on a foundation
of humanity's unyielding spirit.

Kind Words

With words we build, with words we break,
A heart, a soul, for kindness' sake.
In every line, in every rhyme,
Resides the power to heal in time.

Choose words with care, like petals light,
They bloom in minds, both day and night.
For in their echo, deep and wide,
Resides the truth we cannot hide.

A compliment, a gentle cheer,
Can wipe away the darkest tear.
But harsh remarks, like bitter rain,
Can sow the seeds of endless pain.

Let empathy be our guiding star,
In words we weave, no matter how far.
For in this world, so vast and grand,
Kindness, like sand, slips through our hand.

So let our words, like oceans deep,
Be gentle lullabies that keep
The fragile hearts, both near and far,
Embraced in love, like morning's star.

In every sentence that we share,
Let love and understanding bear
The weight of all we long to say,
In words that light the darkest day.

Fear

Fear, it's like a shadow in our hearts,
A feeling that can make us fall apart.
It's when we're scared of something near or far,
But we can learn from it, like a guiding star.

Sometimes it warns us of things to avoid,
Like dangers in the woods where creatures hide.
But in our lives today, it can make us hesitate,
It stop us from trying new things, or even close a gate.

Fear of the unknown, it's like a fear of what's new,
But remember, it's often where growth comes through.
If you're afraid to try something you've not done before,
Take a step, be brave, and open a new door.

Fear of failing, it's when we're scared to make a mistake,
But it's through our failures that we learn and awake.
So don't let it hold you back or make you hide,
Keep pushing forward, with each stumble, you'll stride.

Fear of being rejected, it's when we're scared to connect,
But relationships and love are what we should protect.
Don't be afraid to open your heart wide,
For friendship and love are worth the ride.

Fear of change, it's when we're scared of what's new,
But change is something we all go through.
Adapting and growing is how we survive,
So embrace it, and watch your life thrive.

Fear of the past, it's when old memories haunt,
But we can't change the things that once taunt.
Forgive, let go, and find peace today,
The past can't control you, it can't make you sway.

Fear, it's like a teacher, offering us advice,
Helping us make choices that are wise.
But don't let it take over, you're in control here,
With courage and wisdom, you can conquer your fear.

Let's not be scared, face fears strong,
With courage, we can prove them wrong.
Fear can teach us, but won't control our way,
In the end, love and hope have their say.

Take on each challenge, step into the light,
With a heart unburdened, take a fearless flight.
Fear might stick around, but it can't hold us down,
With our strength and guts, we'll wear victory's crown.

In life's journey, through every twist and bend,
We'll learn from fear, we'll grow, we'll ascend.
So, let's beat our worries, rise high, no tear,
A future awaits where we live with no fear.

Joyful Heart

In a world so vast, where dreams take flight,
A young girl danced in morning light.
With heart so pure, and eyes so bright,
She embraced a life, both kind and right.

No hurt she caused, no pain she spread,
Just love and joy, where'er she tread.
Her laughter, like a songbird's tune,
Filled the air beneath the moon.

In fields of green, she'd often play,
Chasing worries all away.
Her smile, like the sun so warm,
Could calm a raging thunderstorm.

She knew the power of gentle words,
How they could heal like singing birds.
With kindness as her guiding light,
She made the world so warm and bright.

No need for riches, gold, or fame,
For in her heart, happiness came.
Through simple things, like blooming flowers,
She found contentment in her hours.

With friends around, both near and far,
She'd wish upon the evening star.
For love and peace, for all to share,
In her world, she had no care.

A life so sweet, without a cost,
Where love and kindness ruled the most.
A lesson learned, in whispers soft,
From the young girl who lived aloft.

Yes, that girl is me, in every way,
Choosing love, come what may.
In this story of life, I'll be my best,
Spreading love and happiness, a lifelong quest.

Dear dad

Dear Father,
I’m disappointed in you,
you’ve let me down,
a shadow cast over my heart.
You say you love me, sure you do,
but love is more than words,
more than the fleeting touch of a phone call,
once a month, if that.

You call me, once in a blue moon,
and if I don’t pick up,
your anger flares, a wildfire of accusation.
Dear Father,
do you see the irony?
A connection so fragile,
yet your expectations are mountains,
unmovable, towering, cold.

Dear Father,
I’m afraid,
afraid that my wedding dress,
a symbol of dreams and new beginnings,
won’t have your presence to bless it.
Afraid that the aisle I walk,
a path of hope,
will be lined with ghosts of what could have been.

You’ve missed so much,
moments that shaped me,
laughter and tears,
victories and fears.
Your absence a gaping void,
a chasm I’ve tried to fill with fragments of memory,
with whispers of your voice,
echoes of what once was.

Dear Father,
you’ve let me down,
a disappointment that clings like mist,
permeating my being,
seeping into my dreams.
I wanted a hero, a guide,
but you gave me distance,
space that grew and grew,
until it swallowed us whole.

Love is more than a word,
more than a duty call,
it’s presence, it’s care,
it’s being there,
in the moments that matter,
in the silence that speaks volumes.

Dear Father,
I’ve tried to reach you,
bridge the gap with hope,
with forgiveness,
but the walls are high,
the bridges burnt.

Your love, if it exists,
is a fleeting shadow,
a wisp of smoke,
intangible, elusive.
And I am left,
with the ruins of expectation,
the rubble of unmet dreams.

Dear Father,
I wanted you to be my rock,
my anchor in the storm,
but you are a ship adrift,
lost in the sea of your own making.

I’m disappointed,
hurt,
but still, I hope,
a fragile flame in the darkness.
Hope that one day,
you’ll see,
that love is more than a call,
more than a word.

Dear Father,
I wanted a dance,
a moment of joy,
but the music plays,
and you are not here.

Dear Father,
I’m afraid,
afraid of the future,
of the dreams that may never come true,
because you are not there to share them.

But I am strong,
stronger than you know,
and though you’ve let me down,
I will rise,
I will shine,
I will be the love I needed from you.

Dear Father,
this is my truth,
a letter unsent,
a plea unheard.
But still, I write,
still, I hope,
for a future where your love,
is more than a shadow,
more than a word.

Dear Father,
I’m disappointed,
but I will not be defined,
by the love you failed to give.
I will be whole,
I will be free,
and I will find the love,
within me.

Time and Stardust

Stories are written in scars
Stories are etched in time
Time tells tales
Time full of emotions
Emotions bloom like flowers
Emotions fluttering butterflies
Butterflies in stomachs
Butterflies chasing dreams
Dreams unfolding secrets
Dreams whispered confessions
Confessions of the heart
Confessions under moonlight
Moonlight whispers serenity
Moonlight causes storms
Storms of wild passion
Storms igniting desire
Desire burning like fire
Desire flickering flames
Flames of eternal warmth
Flames lighting the way
Way to endless bliss
Way to shared bliss
Bliss envelops us
Bliss echoes softly
Softly glowing embers
Softly arrives the sunset
Sunset paints the sky
Sunset whispers dreams
Dreams of endless hues
Dreams that dance on clouds
Clouds cradle the sun
Clouds a canvas of warmth
Warmth fading gently
Warmth in the awaken
Awaken the night's embrace
Awaken slowly the sea
Sea of dreams and wishes
Sea dark in the night
Night draped in velvet
Night whispers its secrets
Secrets held by the moon
Secrets sung by the stars
Stars as lanterns glowing
Stars in a starry night
Night unfolding its beauty
Night covered in stardust
Stardust shines on flowers
Stardust is delicate
Delicate
Flowers...

Bitter lessons

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of growing up,
Of being a teen, of filling the cup.
I longed for a phone, lipstick, high heels,
To be like the women on film reels,
Those I admired, oh so much.

Time listened but ignored my plea,
Now here I am, questioning me.
No more lipstick, no more shoes,
Wearing red lips feels like a ruse,
Heels make me tall, too much to be seen,
I don’t fit the world I’d once dreamed.

Now makeup hides my face with care,
With a fear that lingers everywhere.
As a child, I wanted to be
As pretty and smart as on the screen.
But teen years hit, and truth is stark,
Never thin enough, never hit the mark.

Beauty’s privilege means so much,
Though inclusivity they preach and such,
Nobody cares if you're not thin or pretty,
Not famous, just lost in this city.

Childhood promises break like glass,
Reflections of dreams that didn’t last.
The world tells me I’m not enough,
Dreams turn nightmares, reality tough.

I wanted to be a princess, a star,
But the mirror shows flaws, fears that mar.
Wanted strength, wanted to be bold,
Now just hiding from the world so cold.

In films, women have no fears,
Their perfect lives bring me to tears.
Here I sit in my small room,
Fighting shadows, dispelling gloom.

Heels to feel tall, now they just taunt,
Too noticed, too seen, it’s not what I want.
The child within me screams for love,
Answers, acceptance, a sign from above.

The world demands change, says I’m not enough,
Dreams of admiration turn to wanting love.
Childhood dreams now ashes that drift,
Growing up’s chains, so heavy to lift.

Wanted to be someone else, it’s true,
Now I just want to be simply me, too.
Without fear, without the weight of eyes,
Free from judgment, free from lies.

Dreamed of being a shining star,
Now I seek my light, near, not far,
Hidden beneath layers of insecurity,
Wanted to be movie-perfect,
Now just want to be perfectly me.

The girl in me didn’t know the cost,
Growing up means innocence lost.
The world demands so much for so little,
But here I stand, learning to love me, brittle.

When I was young, I dreamed of growing,
Now I dream of simply being,
Being who I am, strong, free,
Real, authentic, just being me.

just be

Think less.

    Do more.

Simple, right?

Just breathe, just be,

stop the endless loop, the ifs and maybes,

the what-ifs, the could-bes.

    Jump.

Don't overthink the fall.

It's not the landing, it's the flight,

the air rushing past, the freedom,

the thrill of letting go.

    Stop thinking.

Stop freaking thinking.

Just breathe, just be.

    Taste the moment.

    Feel the sun.

    Laugh so hard it hurts.

Cry and let it all out.

Feel everything,

every heartbeat, every breath.

    Live.

    Now.

Not tomorrow, not someday.

Now.

Dance like a fool,

sing off-key,

love with your whole damn heart.

    Stop thinking.

Just do.

Feel the rain on your skin,

the wind in your hair,

the earth under your feet.

Just breathe, just be.

Scream.

Run.

Jump.

Fall.

Love.

Laugh.

Cry.

Feel.

Life’s too short for second guesses,

too fragile for regrets.

Stop thinking.

Just breathe.

Just be.

Books

In worlds of ink and paper, I find delight,
Where words dance gracefully, in soft moonlight.
A journey unfolds with each turn of the page,
A magical realm, where emotions engage.

The scent of the paper, a comforting embrace,
As I delve into stories, a serene and tranquil space.
Characters come alive, their voices I hear,
In the quiet of a library or a room, so dear.

Pages whisper secrets, tales untold,
As my imagination takes flight, bold and bold.
Through valleys of words, and mountains of prose,
A symphony of sentences, in harmony it flows.

In the cadence of paragraphs, a melody rings,
Each sentence a note, as my heart sings.
In the quietude of a tale well spun,
I find solace, my journey begun.

Rhymes of the storyteller, like a lullaby,
Wrap around my mind, as time goes by.
Adventures unfurl, like a vibrant bouquet,
In the garden of knowledge, I wander and sway.

With every chapter, a new friend I meet,
In the universe of books, my joy is replete.
The canvas of literature, painted so fine,
Stirs my senses, like aged wine.

So let me be lost in these pages, I pray,
Where the magic of reading takes my worries away.
In the realm of books, my soul takes flight,
A world of wonder, pure and bright.

Enjoy

Poetry usually brings me joy,
though honestly, I delight in any triviality.
A thousand small things brighten my day.

Like when you smile at me in the morning,
or when you ask me for a hug.
Happiness overflows in me,
especially at Christmas time,
and the first swim of the year,
when you plunge into the sea.

The aroma of coffee in the morning,
or lying down to admire a starry night.
Reading a novel for the first time,
in winter, warmed by a ray of sun.

Ah, such simplicity,
yet I always smile
at any little thing.

I choose to smile, to live without sorrow,
to cleanse myself of maladies and impurities,
to give my mind a deep purification.
For to be happy, you don't need nobility;
you just need to shed any weakness,
and learn to enjoy, even if awkwardly.
