World War 3

Dark times once, dark time twice,
And now for a third time,
Air full of planes,
Hearts full of grime,
Marching off to war,
Countries combine,
Countries fight,
No peace treaty to sign,
Death toll rises,
Bombs drop,
No way to escape,
Will it ever stop?

Vision

The sadness,
Of never being able to see,
The rainbow hues of the world,
Like a lock to a key,
Are the couleurs to the world,
And seeing someone's face light up with joy,
Of only being able to feel,
Not see an awesome toy,
My dear friend Harlan,
I'm sorry for the eyes you can't view the world with.

Once Upon a Time

They worked at the same place,
A place of no space,
Always running into each other they did,
Bottled crushes, with a tight lid,
Asked out,
Joy shout,
Lovely first date,
Neither were late,
10 months, moved in together,
Hope as light as a feather,
Met his mother,
Met her brother,
Family dinner,
Lottery winner,
They bought a bigger home,
With heaps of space to roam,
From the pound a dog,
Who's past was a traumatized fog,
Trained and loved,
Never shoved,
2 years now,
On knee and bow,
Engagement ring,
Very bling,
Happiness, wedding day drawing near,
Neither showing signs of fear,
White dress, down the aisle,
White suit, lots of style,
Newley weds,
New threads,
Of a new life,
Husband and wife,
They planned their honeymoon, away they go,
Enjoying their time, taking is slow,
Home again,
Pick up the pen,
Start the scrap book,
With ultrasounds that she took,
Tiny heart beats, yes there's 2,
Even though the months are still few,
He gets a new job, lots of money,
Life was looking very sunny,
Half cake blue, half cake pink,
2 names, they have to think,
Room painted and made,
With each other, there glad they stayed,
2 months not long now,
Cute bib that says pow,
Baby clothes shopping, right away,
They will be back soon dog, stay,
Home sweet home, 3 weeks to go,
Need 2 crips, that's all though,
Home alone, twins come a week before,
Open, shut car door,
Drive herself to get there,
Tiny feet kicks, don't you dare,
Turn the corner, car crash,
Window screen is the first to smash,
Jolt forward, hit head,
Blood seeping, staining red,
3 heartbeats stop, husband is told,
Suicide committed, another life folds,
Dog waits at home, all alone,
As gravestones are added, gray zone.

Am I Good Enough?

Misty sky,
All a lie,
Terrible past,
Trauma will last,
Forever stressed,
Feeling never blessed,
Praying to God,
I always feel odd,
Left out,
Self-doubt,
Self-conscious and worried,
But the stress is buried,
So, no-one can see,
The inside me,
A mess of anxiety,
Am I good enough for society?

Proud of Me

Rainbow hues spreading,
All over banners, clothes, hearts,
Be proud of yourself.

Pot of Poems

Dip the ladle into the soup,
Serve it up to the hungry group,
Eyes taking in every detail,
Looking down the trail,
Working out the story,
Shining in all its glory,
But sometimes hard to find,
Sometimes scrambling up the mind,
Beautiful flowing lines,
Rhymes show and shines,
Gliding across your mouth,
looking North, East, West and South,
As words fly away,
The warm feelings stay,
And your mind wanders,
Eventually it squanders,
And is lost from your memory,
But there is a remedy,
Just go to Poetry Soup,
And take a BIGGG scoop,
Of poems by amazing poets there,
All with their own personal flair.

The Pigs Want To Know

Would you, would you, so...?
Would you lie in a pigsty?
Would you, would you, NO

My Aunty Stacey

My Aunty Stacey,
She's not very lacey,
She doesn't wear dresses,
Or have curly tresses,
She is never a sook,
But a really good cook,
Tough as nails,
Never fails,
I think you will find,
That she is very kind,
She had a ferret for a pet,
And three dogs are set,
Very happy in her house,
But sadly, no mouse,
She likes to walk the dogs,
Even in the fogs,
Her husband Rio is full of muscle,
And with us he likes to tussle,
Her friend Alisha is amazing,
We play until where hot and blazing,
Aunty Stacey there is nothing you lack,
I love you to the moon and back.

John, My Brother

From his anger,
To his humor,
No friends,
Thats just a rumor,

He's a great brother,
Even when he's annoying,
I know he's just joking,
I know he's just toying,

He's younger than me,
But only by a year,
Headfirst into everything,
As if there is nothing to fear,

He doesn't like school very much,
But he got sports captain, very proud,
I think he gets it from me,
Being very loud,

I love my dear brother very much,
Next year he's going to high school though,
Same school as me,
He will be a pro.

My Pet

He's funny, he's cute,
He wears a weird suite,
He giggles and chatters and talks to me,
I think he's saying, 'Hello Phoe',
His eyes are red,
His nose; two little black dots on his sweet little head,
His ears two fluffy clouds,
He is very loud,
He doesn't want my sister,
He doesn't want my brother,
He only wants me,
And definitely no other,
He's a Guinea pig,
Called Hedwig.
