Diamonds, Never

Diamond
A softly dim
And then suddenly, as
Illumined with white light becomes
Dauntless

Vampire Love

I knew the damned
Descended from the angels yet locked in flight
Their utter beauty, deflated pale and the lilt of their wings
Distinct from the night

One of them felt the chemistry of egos in our blood
And he said
I found you where the red roses bud

The Image My Eyes Paint

Dark eyes
Unfiltered shine
Black mascara anoints
These lashes flicker by design
Flawless

Sunset

Scarlet rays grace the avid sky
With bold red and gracious gold, the skyline it dyes
Undaunted by the widely pervasive azure
The sun sets naturally with it's hiatus does it lure
Night might fall on rising after the dusk
One shade the realm, the other nostalgically unjust
Serenity in it's light pink absolution
With hope in our hearts and the somberness undone
Eyes caught in the purple flash
Of afterglow, following which it seals the arched eyelash
Time of the blue light blooms, the hue ready
Unveiling the skyscraper's impossible mystery

Dance In Trance

She's dancing
Who is she?
She's the lost girl
Without a dream
Without a chance
Making a sweet symphony of her body
Breathing deeply in advance
A cacophony of music
Cured her deaf spirit
Brought a light sheen of sweat on her disarming figure
An armband around her wrist she knit
With her simple yet captivating vigour
Who is she?
She's the dancer we all see in our dreams
Who lives in every girl
Though only internally it seems

Snow Dreams

Tiny snowflakes fall down
white gems upon a black crown
A breeze flutters
left with no sayings to utter
To reflect the hoarse yet sublime dark hue
Black swirls dissolve to blue
A heat so thick
it suffocates to undo
The chain of thoughts in my own mind
Fleeting yet syncretic of kind
Blue swirls dissolve to grey
A silent ether is there to pray
A wish remains there to be born, but nonetheless unfelt
And then the grey swirls melt

Hyacinth Eyes

A green gold ring
I watch in the mirror
It with my fingers cling
Lovingly evoking a shiver

Your eyes are blue
Like the flower of spring, hyacinths
And when I whisper your name, Drew
love flood my heart apart slipping through the labyrinths

When we first met
The shelter was rare in the violent night
Our fingers touched, me upset
Inadvertently, these spirits filled with nothing
Intertwined

Your heart beats
And my soul seldom perches in sadness

Blue It Is

With long sharp noses the blue bloods drew
Sword engraved with legal cuts
Under the roses the butterflies flew
The emperors, they were called
Still touched the world in which they were shut

Timeless it is, the color blue
Though a deeper more different shade of black, it was called
Short bursts do anew
A divination of sadness that we've all heard
Yet haven't on the paper scrawled

Da-dum the beats flow
And the young girls think
Why is my heart slow?
Spectral eyes grin unbeknownst to them,
they've taken love for the win
Or so the tale goes

Dark Notes of Coffee

From the swirling red cherries
Flaming down to this earth
A heart is touched
With a simple taste of caffeine
Beatifically submerged

It's umber and flowers
The complexity that I love

A Few Things I Like

Sweet toothache
Undersigned pen names
The name of lilac and it's feels
The nature of drumbeats
Unplayed games
And how our heart, it heals

Squeezed oranges
The texture of velvet
Seldom singing wrong lyrics, that cut
Egoistic arguments
Hurried footsteps into the moon
We're all free in our own ways, not literally shut

Buttons, lots of them
Red gel pens that flow
Rotten planks and lost water bodies
And sometimes we like those pink mojitos that glow
