Nicole Cotterill Poem
I remember the days of youth. Sitting on the golden sand watching the waves come and go
as they please. Feeling the ocean breeze wash over my skin.
I remember the days when we were so carefree. Building sandcastles with motes flowing
around the mounds of sand. Listening to the seagulls fly overhead.
I remember the nights when i would lay next to you and we would count the stars in the
lightly lit sky. Smelling that saltly ocean scent in the air.
I remember the late hours we spent just paddling our feet in the chilled water. Watching
the sun slowly fade below the horizon.
I remember all those moments we use to share there on that beach. Feeling as if time was
all that we had.
I remember now what i remembered then as if it were only yesterday again.

Nicole Cotterill Poem
Today i prayed for the broken and the hurt. I prayed that they would forever live pain
adn fear free.
Today i prayed for the children of tomorrow. That they one day would see the beauty of
today.
Today i prayed for you. That you someday would see what was right in front of your eyes.
Yesterday I prayed for the hated and the blamed. That today their futures would change in
a positive way.
yesterday i prayed for the land of the free. That they too would see the greed that
blinds them.
yesterday i prayed for you and me. that we could one day have what everyone else has.
Tonight i will pray for the people that have no where to go. that they will have new
doors that open up to them.
Tonight i will pray for the unknown worlds. That tomorrow they will somewhat be noticed.
Tonight i will pray that you and i might find a way.
Payers somehow can be answered. If jsut a little howp to glide you through the dark. Or a
tiny bit of creativity to make things more enjoyable. Then will hopes and dreams become
reality.
