Forever Crying

Laying here without you near
You are gone so far away 
You left this earth too early 
Now I’m missing you today 

It was only two years ago
The doctor gave us the news
He said we should start preparing 
it would be you that I would lose

I thought you would be just fine
Malignant was the term they said
They said your lungs won’t survive 
Can not accept that you are dead

We are left here with emptiness 
The kids and I miss you so
My heart feels like its penniless 
Like the day you had to go

My darling I will not make it
My soul is torn into pieces 
When I see our baby’s eyes
The pain inside increases 

For their eyes are your colors 
And they laugh the way you would 
I pray I loved you hard enough 
And treated you like I should 

You are so very far away 
Too far for my arms to touch
Baby I wish so hard I pray
God, I loved you so very much

If you can hear my voice at all
send me a beautiful sign
Without you I just stumble 
Dear God I miss you all the time

I can still smell your fragrance 
It’s still lingering in this bed
I miss our loving friendship 
And all the words you had said

All I see is black roses
With sky’s very dark and cold
I reach up to the heavens 
In the hopes I can feel your soul

My darling if you can see me
You’ll see I’m forever crying 
while you’re living with the angels 
I am laying right here dying
