Liquor of Love

Gestures beckon gestures,
Speech caresses silence,
Laughter accompanies the seductive sways of smiles,
The beautiful bliss of our starry eyes gone astray;
Then caught and locked in a stir of longing for each other.
None, but a tale of fantasy,
Re-enacting the dé·jà vu of a dream.
A dream; an all-discerning vision
Relentlessly unfolding a heart-stricken revelation.
An exposition of the future’s past.
Relishing; this past, indeed. In a one we go a-dancing;
Yet still, in exchange of smothering kisses, beneath the cover of darkness
With flames of a soaring passion burning; our bonded souls to sooth
Urging the sweet cravings of yearning desires, us to consume
In our intoxicating state of peaked pleasure,
In our hypnotizing exile of uncontrollable ecstasy.
How soon this liquor of love runs out
Pour me another glass, please……
A toast, in honor of our non-existing love
Cheers!!

The Cocktail

Quiet! Listen; Nature calling
Her voice so gentle, an ultimate passion
So sweet, so tender; so meek, so mild
Not in the roars of floods, earthquakes or hurricanes
Nor even the call to ease one’s self
But a beautiful disaster, closer at heart
That brings to mind nostalgic memories
Of the wonder of our home called Earth
Its orderly splendor, perfection’s rebirth
With phenomenon so glorious to behold
In distorted occurrences; a story to be told

The night is here this morn
The moon, this day overcomes the sun
Slowly but surely, he takes his steps
In a dance so teasingly before her
His weight he throws about to annoy her
For a few minutes battle to win
For a moment of display as the sun’s assassin

This day, the first law of creation defiled
Permission sought from the Maker above
By the sun, the moon, and some hell of brave stars
To struggle for some space and time in the sky
A scarce ritual in renewal of their forceful friendship
Then to return being friendly foes
Each apportioned reign, be day or night
As nature demands of them
As creation requires of them

Men and women, old and young
All behold this awesome sight
In fear though some may be
Great curiosity dares them to see
Heads held high in reach for the sky
Bulging eyes in search; one destination in mind
Mouths open in shock of the stunning design
Brains work to appreciate the scenario it finds

A view of a journey to the sun by the moon
A visit not entertained by his host for long
The tiny moon, who destructs the king of lights
Makes mockery of her to the world at large

Such great heroism displayed
That bathes the sun in total humiliation
Hence, burns furiously than ever
In a desperate quest for vengeance
And a fearful act of retaliation
For a once cherished great a dignity
For a now destroyed good a reputation.

What I Dream;Yet What Must Be

I wept as I beheld the present in the past
Shallow,hollow;an overflowing emptiness so vast
My knowledge, 'consulted when I came to the now
That to you, my endless love I did vow
Now as my heart beseeks the future from the present
I weep
In grief and scorn so deep
'Cos you shall not be there.

Indeed, like the past, u will disappear
How awful it be to brood and sigh
Stirring tomorrow in the face as night draws nigh
With you an absent dream
A sleepless lullaby, a mournful hymn
A dream once begotten of virgin birth
Yet did die in shame of an adulterous death
All conceived in the eyes of the mind
All perceived, only in sleep to find
Never was,hence never shall be
In reality
Such futility of an untimely eternity
