What I Dream;Yet What Must Be
I wept as I beheld the present in the past
Shallow,hollow;an overflowing emptiness so vast
My knowledge, 'consulted when I came to the now
That to you, my endless love I did vow
Now as my heart beseeks the future from the present
I weep
In grief and scorn so deep
'Cos you shall not be there.
Indeed, like the past, u will disappear
How awful it be to brood and sigh
Stirring tomorrow in the face as night draws nigh
With you an absent dream
A sleepless lullaby, a mournful hymn
A dream once begotten of virgin birth
Yet did die in shame of an adulterous death
All conceived in the eyes of the mind
All perceived, only in sleep to find
Never was,hence never shall be
In reality
Such futility of an untimely eternity
