Time

The days depart onwards, and still, the timer continues to commence and cease, with every moment that passes bleeding you dry. The surges of chaos conjure doubtfulness to your mind. The body that allows us to move around becomes still just as the frozen lakes on a cold night. Curiosity flows, but acceptance of a version of yourself you never wanted to acknowledge starts confusing the rhythm of your life. Understanding that we only acquire one chance in this form and the choices we compose play a role, which never fails to show with the events that occur as our impulse reaction takes control; for the truth can tell no lies; just as evil and benevolent are one and the same, and often misunderstood, forced to hide within a disguise. The black sheep in a family of billions, so close to each other but never receiving a hug from another. Lost in a circle, the snow globe of our false terror and hope; fighting just to stay alive when all we must do is look deeply into our eyes. A soul that is immoral, a component of us that will never die. Only when the surrounding ground becomes still can we fully connect with the intuition that will guide us from this phase into the consequent . Be patient with yourself. Notice that you are enough. The warriors planted into a battle that can be won. Deepen your perception and watch the undone become one.

Reason

A pain so surreal it leaves you breathless; your dignity thrown out as if it were a mistake to begin with. The sense of nothingness; swallowing the scraps you left on the surface. Yet despite past efforts, you are still here with a heart that continues to beat. Born blessed with the curse of seeing beyond a made-up fantasy, in the same breath, unable to tell the difference between your horror movie and reality. It is even more commendable that you continue to grow despite the drought that has plagued the city. Give yourself some credit. You have done more than most people create with their seed. Speaking of growth, I hope that after all the disasters we have experienced in recent years; we have strengthened our resilience. Able to combat any force that tries to see if we still have the energy needed to fight against that of which we do not believe.
Are you willing to rewrite the exam, or will you send the draft as it is, far from completion? It is clear you possess the tools needed to excel at any task if you just take the leap. Lead yourself to better days, do not rely on someone else's vision, or what eyes that are not your own see. The glasses were not for you to begin with, in the end causing more damage than originated. Despite how hard you work, some are going to underestimate your capabilities. It is time to stop doubting the equations you have developed a working method for over and over in your own mind. The voice inside your gut that has remained silent for too long is screaming, hoping you will take a second to sit down and listen. You can build sandcastles with the wisdom you carry. Each one reveals the beauty in the darkness of your story. On the off chance you find yourself in a state of conflict, dazed and locked in a web of confusion, it is likely because you are reaching for something that was not meant for you to begin with. Are you willing to die lying on the floor when you are the authority and carry a loaded gun? Strength is the trigger you possess. Adapting is the ammo that comes out the other end. The only weapon you need to slaughter the demons and remain undefeated in a forever war, remains engraved indefinitely in your holster.
Soak in victory; allow your trials and tribulations to become the source of your glory. The fact you can read this proves you can be more than what first impressions lead you to believe. Good or bad, growth is a tool that is best used to all degrees. Do not limit yourself or listen to the radio static from a broken system; trust in your journey, have faith you will pull through and land on the other side of things. It is okay if no one else can perceive how the obstacles made you into a multi-level human being. Find peace knowing you did and saw all the things the universe meant you to do, and the timing had a reason.

Free

While sitting in my bed, different thoughts raced around in my head; there was one that stood apart from the rest. With it came a moment of clarity, a deeper understanding, and a sense of being blessed. The map of a simple way to access the peaceful land I always dreamed of one day planting my feet. Freedom to live a life with self-love and away from the hate I have been harbouring deep within the fibres of my being. I have these persistent slaps of doubt and punches that tell me I will never be enough, a voice so strong it has knocked me down more times than I care to count. Since I believed the crime to be my own, I took the punishment that I felt deserved. You get what you are given, right? So, I didn’t end the madness, instead, I carried on living a life that felt to be full of sin. Constantly feeling violated, watched but never held, not once tucked safely in someone’s gentle arms. Til the one that made a difference finally showed up. Saving the parts of me that needed a sense of faith and strategies of coping with the coming days. Anything to show, I was going the right way. One was really a team of personal spirit guides lighting things ablaze in the best of ways. I could have called upon them long ago, and received some wisdom regarding the art of living, but I was too afraid to remain open; Nor was I ready to risk the chance of my last shot hitting the rims, never dunking into the net. So, I would never concentrate or focus, thinking that what I don’t know, I cannot miss. All the words that have struck me down. The villain had a plan, its purpose to dim the light and rip apart a soul so bright not even the sun had the tolerance to look down at its shine. With all of that also came the love, understanding and acceptance of the darkest parts of the night. To it, I was its enemy; for if the soul continued to be, the source would crumble and soon its kind would vanish without ever being missed. The beliefs weighing me down, religion was not my own, which meant I had not kept being stuck in a place that was not mine to call home. Here I stand today, officially ready to hand back the pain, the hurt, the disgust of oneself, the empty pit of nothingness and the anxiety that was never mine to own. Returned to its rightful owner, never again to be misplaced or cause anyone else a hole where the purest love should exist. We did not waste it all. It taught me more than I would have ever understood without it. Thank you for the opportunity to learn; I accept what I've experienced and take it for nothing less than a chance to grow and lens to view the screenshot of another existence. My only hope is I can share this wisdom and reunite others with their true-life purpose. All it takes is faith and willingness to look in front of you where a beautiful future and present moments await. The fog will clear the second you block the outside interference that transmits misguided opinions, falsely imposing as someone who knows and has every reason to hate the person who originates within my core. Although I may disagree with the methods of another, as I have my right, as do the ones who spread chaos in their wake. The truth revealed will slow down the spread of untrue messages. No regrets, but a promise to myself that never again will I hand over my control to a scam artist stealing from the savings meant for my highest self to claim.

Survived the Night

To all those who feel they cannot withstand an additional period in the storm's chaos, please don't lose hope or give up the fight. Our whole lives are a testimony to the strength we have inside. Our resilience increases with each stab of the knife, and it's the very thing that keeps us alive. This is not the first occasion you felt you could not survive another night; now those moments are just memories; we keep alive. You could not recall every detail correctly, no matter how hard you try. Frequently, experiences fade as the days go by. Don't give more power to the forces outside; instead, give the fire back to the child that lives inside. You are special; your light illuminates everything. Never pick between your mind and body; if you treat them right and sync them with your soul, the three become one, filling the hole. Then 'complete' becomes the new norm. Never silence your voice, we all should feel heard. Follow your intuition, not the herd. The way to your higher self is through the purest, truest parts of you. Giving some attention to the inner you, in alternative words, the realest version, is the very essence of the soul. Diverse, often overlooked and underappreciated rarity that works as a telephone, a connection to the spiritual world all around us. Be yourself without worrying about others' ridicule or judgment. There is but one opinion that matters, and it's not theirs. The one who sits in the chair but chooses not to pay attention, learns nor attempts to understand, loses again and again. Nothing is ever simple. If it was, you wouldn't be giving your potential the respect it deserves. Expecting what is out of your control is an empty road heading straight for a generation of disappointments. After all, the particular one you can adjust, or do the work, is you. Only speak what you know. If you're in the academy–keep your head in the books. Consider both benefits and negative consequences, whether you utter a sentence or respond in vain, unless you have an intention to meet with the devil and/or achieve being censored by noon. This may confuse you; do I judge or is freedom and individuals doing what individually feels right, the way I live my life? Take a deep breath while closing your eyes, drown out any noise invading your psyche, and pause for a moment. This space is your sanctuary. Free the tension from your shoulder. You are safe here. I promise. Exhale, allowing the weight to vanish. Allow your muscles a moment to recuperate. The ache you feel is a way of communicating. They're tired and need a break. Look around you, you made it.; I'm so proud of you, soak in the fresh new light of day. I hope you acknowledge the power of your mind. Hold on to the sense of inner strength. You are the religion, two sides of a coin, we are one.

Unappealing Pursuits

I see you over there; you are smiling aimlessly, but inside everything feels misaligned. Are you lying to yourself? Hoping that one day you will spot the signs. Patiently waiting for the tide to turn, praying everything will turn out all right. Living on your own every day despite the darkness in your mind. Have you ever considered repairing what drives your motivational force? Have you been able to perceive streams of light? All that is hidden within eventually comes to light - sometimes it just takes time. The fight inside of you can never die. It is your power. Be careful, for its not a tool to be used without the purest intention and clearest of minds. The moment should never result in a lasting crime. Remember, when the day is over, the sun is down and most of the world is not consciously around, the one you talk the most with lives inside your head and will remain until you are dead. So might as well find the beauty in the unappealing pursuits ahead.

The Version I Was Meant For

How did I get lost in a city I never intentionally passed through?
Devastatingly beating me down and my heart now beats to the rhythm of the blues.

Music is the only thing still helping me to live a life I no longer have the passion to dance to.

Sending a letter to the atmosphere for any sign that changes the frequency of this tormented melody - improvement is needed for the current song I'm giving attention to.

I just want to sing the version I was meant to.

Yours

Look a little deeper if you must
Never be ashamed of challenging your thoughts.
We are our own worst critics -
A line I know and trust.
Hallow beating of a heart that never got the chance to love.
Eyes that feel so much but are attached to a system that is not hooked up. The only energy around drains the surrounding plugs.
There is good and bad, but it looks very different for each of us.
The path you are on is only yours to judge.

The Ones To Come

Every generation goes through a new type of segregation. Different problems but the same level of responsibility never taken; At least not from the ones who are supposed to claim it. The ones in charge have the power to change things, they have it all but take advantage of the people who work hard to get what they cannot keep. Our pockets are wiped clean, our purity turns to darkness and our hearts harden; its the only way to survive what we deal with in our streets. You may think you run your life, but in reality we're all puppets, controlled by someone from behind the scenes. Its the ugly truth so many choose to act blind then see. But we're not blind, all we have to do is open our eyes. We're apart of the problem and its time we stop assisting in the mass genocide. Lets make a plan for all our sakes; we are the 99% which means the odds are in our favour. The 1% cannot take us, its times we show them the monsters they've created. The damage to us is already done, but we can pave a path much better for the generation's to come. Allow our children to be proud of the people they become, give to them what was not given to us. Many regrets but this will not be one.

Gone

The urge to disappear.
Fall off into a volcano
Erupt and saturate the surrounding land.
Suffocate myself quickly in sand.
repossess my life and leave this empty, broken shell.
This is goodbye.
There is no hand left to wave -
in the background,
I hear the bells.

Ding, ding, welcome to our final resting place.

Hazard

Why do we insist on taking away the things that make us happy. If we truly cared about it, wouldn't we choose to have it. Laughter has a way of healing the splattered, destroyed and not even looking for the key labeled master - instead we become our special kind of hazards.
