The Version I Was Meant For

How did I get lost in a city I never intentionally passed through?
Devastatingly beating me down and my heart now beats to the rhythm of the blues.

Music is the only thing still helping me to live a life I no longer have the passion to dance to.

Sending a letter to the atmosphere for any sign that changes the frequency of this tormented melody - improvement is needed for the current song I'm giving attention to.

I just want to sing the version I was meant to.

Unfortunately life doesn’t always go as we hoped for. Some things we can control but many we cannot. Still we must keep seeking the rhythm to which we want to dance. I enjoyed your verse, Justice. John
