Like Clockwork

Red ribbed tank top and panties.
Drawing and writing’s to earn commissary.
Rugged colored jumpsuits delivered daily through the bars.
A few women foaming at the mouth from drug withdrawals.
Smells of jailed prostitutes.
Some for murder or Robbing for loot.
Three toilet seats lined up, One shower curtain hung by one Rod.
Boxed alone ,dropped by family and friends,No squad
Kites passed by the male inmates through the line
Like clockwork,Under my tray Every-time
A few fights, Kept my body tight.
One eye stayed on guard all night.
Didn’t get any sleep absolutely no rest.
Until the night I earned each inmates respect
No outside letters.
No Love or a sight of light that life ahead is gonna get any better.
Held on to my dignity.
Versatility Adaptability.

Still Determined

I’m going to break this Beak loose
Got my mind around in circles Duck Duck Goose’
Been through
‘Life’, Milton Bradley
Speak my mind,Expressing my feelings while Genuinely showing the real me.
Have you listened to my story?
What I have faced or what I have seen.
I have had to fight through life, body left scarred inside, outside and in between.
Red headed Black sheep of tha family.
Been through the most and still hold the biggest heart yet they are still determined to break me.
Been told I wasn’t going to be it.
So, I added it to complete my outfit
Snugged it on tight to show my silhouette fit.
Been told, I was soft and weak behind the tears that fall off my cheek
But, my tears just soften the beast.
Before the pain becomes words that she regrets once they roll off the tongue as sentences when released.

My Mom

Feathered Brazilian brown hair with eyes that match.
Red lips,Skinny brows with mascara thick on each lash.
Skin tone honey roasted cashew.
Body scarred from self harm and all she had been through.
Felonies,misdemeanors and a diploma.
From Great kills,Staten Island to the beaches of Clearwater and Sarasota.
Vodka on the rocks with a splash of diet coke.
Mirror, a straw and lines of coke.
She always made you laugh With every joke.
Even though,Throughout my childhood my mom was an addict.
There is no other women, I would of rather spent my life with.
Taught me how to be ok with surviving by myself.
Showed me some life choices will have you buried or displayed on a shelf.
I’ve learned from all your mistakes. So, I choose love over wealth.
I was born the black sheep to break the family cycle for my own health.
To ensure, I face the life. I try to create with my best self.

Know Me

Short red and cocky.
Throw boas like Rocky.
Red headed fireball,They all watch me.
Pull up curb view so they can see.
Pop out the Lincoln with the tire Iron
Watch them Flee.
Ask anyone who really Know me.
God Had to have built me strong as a brick.
Traumas left me with a trigger tick.
Controlled with no pills strictly hope.
Numb my mind with love in order to cope
Even when people come and go
Each lesson, We learn and Grow
Some you want to truly last,
Not become a reflection of the past.
You can’t predict the future.
Enjoy the Love and keep it Nurtured
If it fails, You gained a valuable lesson.
Use it towards your next blessing.

Before Its Gone

While it lasts.
Before it’s gone.
Fighting to keep the passion strong.
Knowing it won’t be too long.
Before I’m left with our memories.
Rewinded and reminded with each lyric
Of our old love song.
Every-time I turn the radio on.
I wouldn’t change my heart.
Together, separated or broken apart.
When you study things long enough.
It gets easier to understand.
Things won’t seem so tough.
All the answers to your questions
Will always present themselves
Even if they’re covered up...

Interesting Story

I don’t even know why, I even worry.
To ever think another can beat me at me, Well that would make an interesting story.
Next chapter please you can’t compete with me, Most of y’all lies even bore me.
Mama was a Portuguese Brazilian thoroughbred named Lauren.
She said you could put the whole world in your pocket and still feel like your a brokeless foreign.
I am a Goddess next to the glory.
Every day challenges just become a normal chore to me.
People will leave you broke, sick to your stomach crying for Conessi.
While they living it up feeling stress free.
So never let anyone get the best of you and I’ll never let anyone get the best of me.

Four

God shows me
My Dreams
Aren’t Over
I know one day
I’ll find that four
Leaf Clover
I’ll find that four leaf clover
I know one day
My dreams aren’t over

Ginger Lou

When they perceive me.
I don’t even need to be around physically.
A picture of me forms naturally mentally.
I’ll leave my scorpion stinger in anyone who I feel I hold sentimentally.
Through my Claws I reach for the heart and embrace love while I devour your soul.
Without me,You will be lost with a missing piece, An unforgettable un fillable hole.
I usher a different type of vibe,a different type of love.
A friendship people drop to their knees and pray for a me from above.
I acknowledge the understandings of realities most people don’t.
I stick by in situations most people won’t.
I can dislike you and we no longer even speak One phone call and Im laced up.What Is the location? What do you need?Where’s the beef?
I am already in the whip hitting the streets.
You will feel I am close when vibrations vibrate the sidewalk by your feet.
Then you will spot Mrs.Ginger Lou Leaned back in the drivers seat.

Love Them the Same

Can’t help that I am dangerous but cautious
Been in situations that left me broke down in this world lost in this
Feel the pain that has drained my eyes peeled my skin away
Aftermaths of traumas that don’t go away
I am built Ford Tough with a chevy engine
Cherish what I have so Im always fixin and mending
Heard more of the mistakes Ive made in life then the decisions that were right
Is there ever a day that doesn’t feel like I have to wake up and fight
You can’t please everyone, That I know
Hurt feelings from the closest ones, That I Know
They are the hardest battle
Hard skin outside, inside fragile
I know the damage of pain so I reverse the game
Even when they hurt me, I still love them the same.
