Thoughts In a Warm Room

She looked deep into his eyes
wondering why she loved him
It was not shape or personality alone
His tongue was sharp at times
and as he touched her magic parts
Wondering -- vanished

Oubliette

If the day comes
that I shall write no more
not aTo exist as ordinary.ble to canvas
visual fantasies of my soul.
On that day! I shall be ousted as an artist.

Road To Alaska

The road is not the best
it is close to not at all.
Just when you think
you've had enough of this
washboard, potholed
ribbon of hell.

The fire weeds that edge
the roadway
capture your curiosity
with rich abundance
of dancing colors.

Serenity

Woods in deep mist
shallow brook of shimmering slik
unweaves over rocks.
Cooling breeze -- rustling leaves
wind chimes in the nght

Greener Fields

The love I left behind
             dances inside my head
              my mind
A ballerina in the night

I lie awake till morning light
               music fades
you disappear-- become
                shade of day

My mind in disarray
can not sleep
                or even eat
Since I walked away
                my heart weeps

Woods

I walk towards the woods
                       green and deep
Once inside I find it hard to sleep
What an illusion the woods do give
of being green and being neat
Since deep inside animals sleep
                        waiting till night
that's when they eat
I lie and I watch
              see shadows in the dark
My mind becomes fuzzy
              my body scared
I see a large -- large bear
              standing in the night
He approaches my tent
               from the right
grips my shoulder
               rolls me over
my eyes blur with fright
the bear growls
                It's just me son
       it's daddy

My Sadness Sleeps

Who am I to cry
now that we have parted.
Given time pain will subside

Memories
of yesterday's dream
vanish.
An eminent huh
surrounds my thoughts
and from this moment
I sleep alone

Husband Or Wife

Days living in
my mind itself
made life feel frozen
        a hell
Loneliness of one

When we first met
I did not realize
it would be you
I would marry
A choice that has
pleased me in every way

It is hard for me
to remember the sadness
Those days in hell
for you kissed my tears
into laughter
Making each day
warm with heart
A day in heaven
a lifetime of love
