My Sadness Sleeps

Who am I to cry
now that we have parted.
Given time pain will subside

Memories
of yesterday's dream
vanish.
An eminent huh 
surrounds my thoughts
and from this moment
I sleep alone

Tony Hwilka August 25, 2008 at 9:21 AM Thank you Mike, I wrote this poem 30yrs ago when my wife and I divorced after 20yrs. It was hard when you love someone. But time does heal. I"m married now for 17yrs and very happy.
