Heaven's Delight

When God made you my little
Grandson, he told His Angels to
gather around. This little baby I have
made is heavens delight, which brought many
smiles to their beautiful glowing faces.
Then the Lord said, every once in a while,
I make someone very special and this little guy you
see before you, is one of the special ones.
He shall bring happiness and so many smiles
to everyone he meets. This child will have a
mighty heart as big as can be and will touch
many people lives. I now send him to the earth
so his family can love and cherish this little
guy, who will be a most tender and beautiful
child.

My Journey Home

My journey home is closer today,

than it was yesterday.

Someday my heart aches and pain

will pass me by.

My journey home will be a

most beautiful trip,like no one

has ever taken before.

Mother has been waiting for me,

there on those goldend shores,

ever since her parting from this old world

many years ago.

Taking one day at a time,

until I take my

journey home, when I sit down

with my Lord and thank Him

for what he did for me

on Calvary that day so long ago.

The Cellar Door

The cellar door where I could find him,

just dreaming his cares away,

thinking of his younger days,

when he would roam

the back woods looking

for rabbits or a bird or two.

Cellar door was where he always

laid to escape the hot summer sun

and to take in the cool breezes,

that sometimes blew his way.

Cellar door where I would go

and talk with him and get a kiss

or two and a wag from his bushy tail,

putting my arms around him and

remembering our days of childhood.

Old Shep passed on in 1960, the year I turned 17,

remembering so many things about him and that

old cellar door.

The Pond

Peace such peace

by that old pond

of mine,

many years ago

would dream my

cares away,

for hours on end

had my first kiss

while sitting by

that old pond

we made plans

of what would

never be. The

old pond is

dried up, as

my memories

are beginning to

dry up, but

the memory from

that old pond

will linger on

for all ages.

A Dream of Mother

Breezes of a summer night,

gently blew into my open

bedroom window as i

laid there so restless and

desperately trying to bring

sleep to my weary soul.

Eyes closing, sending me to

a land i once walked,

places where i lived,

peace and contentment,

flooded my soul as,

i saw my mother's smiling

face. of her telling me,

how she loved and missed me,

hoping i was getting along ok,

feeling of joy swept me away,

as a sun beam touched my face,

to a most dear and beautiful day,

felt better than i had in years,

knowing life had more things in store

for me, that i needed to move on.

Let Me Choose

In my mothers womb,
so safe and sound,
waiting for light
to shine on me.

Life is so special
looking forward
to seeing what's
in store for me.

Little heart beating,
so warm and carefree
it is here, so safe
and so secure.

What are they doing to
me, something I see
coming toward me,
oh, my little skin burns
and my eyes hurt so,

I can't breathe, my
lungs ache so,
pain everywhere now,
don't do this,

stop this please,
don't murder me,
let me chose
when to die.

My mother says
it's her body to
choose what to do
with it,

but that's not true,
her body belongs to God,
and only He has
the right to take life.

Only I can't stop
them from doing
this horrible thing
to me.

I will go to heaven,
without ever knowing
what my life could have
become.

House By the Woods

One day as I was walking,
I spotted a house by the woods,
saw an old friend from
my childhood, sitting on the porch.

We talked about the old days,
when we were so young and free,
he showed me his garden, as
we stopped to sit on a park bench.

Such enchanting roses
all around, bringing me closer
to nature and my
past years.

He then showed me,
where his dear old
dog Murphy was buried by
the pond with roses all around.

Tears shed for this sweet dog
who loved to roam the woods,
searching for rabbits,
he never found.

Memories from the past
were remembered that day
as I said my farewell
and left the house by the woods.

wrote 3-3-10 Inspired by my dog Murphy wrote this at 10:52, just hours before I had
him put to sleep. also my last poem to write before he died.

Winter Disappeared

Woke up this morning,

winter was gone,

cold and snow took

a break for now.

My old friends

the robbins are

everywhere to

be seen and

making those

beautiful sounds

I missied so,

sunshine and

blue skies so

wonderful to behold,

knowing nauture is

only playing tricks

on me, winter woes

will be back when

their spring break is over,

to torment me,

as it did before,

but this day I

will cherish and

take in the warmth

of this beautiful day.
